  7. Hi Guys A mate and I were doing a MP mission the other night when he gor shot down, returning to the breifing room he entered a new aircraft again. He wound when running through the startup routine that when spinning up the APU with APU start that the RPM dial would not no to 100 as per normal but stuck on about 60 I too have also experienced parts of the startup when entering a MP mission where I was unable to start the engines for no fault of my own. I was wondering has anyone else experiences anything other issues or even those explained above. thanks Mithandra
  8. beta, to me means somethings may not work or are broken :) Say no more :) Mithandra
  9. It crashed online once for me - the rest of the time is has been perfefctly stable thanks Mithandra
  10. I hav played this game for about a month now and can say I have only ever had it crash on me once and that was when i was in MP online. A few places it does stutter expecially when flying slow over the coast and you look at the see and the buildings on the coast. All in all it is very playable for me. Some of the training missions the guy tells you to do something but there is no visual marker to show where the button switch is (this was hard at first to find but after a while you find the button/switch and can move forward) Here are my system specs: Intel Core i7 920 D0 Asus M/b 12Gig DDR3 RAM Main Drive 128Gig SSD Storage 4 TB HDD space NVidia GTX 480 Display: Dell 30" Monitor 2560 x 1600 Res Everything in the game is maxed out and runs at about 30 to 90 FPS Thanks Mithandra
  11. Alt Tab works for me also
  12. yes it can be frustrating - how do the real pilots do this? Is it becuase you are more aware and can tell movement in RL easier than looking at a screen? Mithandra
  13. have you played any missions so far as I has the same issue you just have to leave it for a while as it has to build some sort of cache first time its run. Thanks Mithandra
  14. not sure why you guys have a small font, when i run the training missions its perfectly fine for me. running the game in 2560 x 1600 thanks Mithandra
  15. Hi Guys, Just got the MP working and and mate and I were flying together - thought i would share some picture with you guys. Anyone else got any good pics? Thanks Mithandra
  16. yes we both have tried Internet - when clicking search we can see other servers most of them have passwords, the occassional one doesnt and we have been able to join but we have not been able to create our own server where the other person can see the server thanks mithandra
  17. Hi Guys, A friend and I are trying to have a MP game together but we are having some issues. When we create a server from either of the 2 methods below the other person cannot see the server listed in the channel when clocking new search 1. Launching the client from the X86 Single player instance then clicking MP 2. Launching the MP x86 client then clicking new search We have both tried this and have successfully joined other players games when not passworded. This is becoming very frustrating for us, anyone know what to do? We want to use the x86 client as we both are using trackIR thanks Mithandra
  18. yes i have been running the startup over and over and seem to have it off pat, might be missing a few things that arnt essential for takeoff :) Thanks mithandra
  19. I think some hi res pics of the full cockpit would be great as you could put numbers next to the switches while learning, example starting the aircraft. thanks mithandra
  20. if you think about it in real life if your a pilot when you launch you dooms day weapon you dont get a close up cam of the hit, jsut possibly see the smoke as you pass over. DCS A10 is a huge improvement over KA-50 IMHO, I am looking forward to seeing waht the devs have in store for us next :) Thanks mithandra
  21. I will be putting my HOTAS Cougar on Ebay tonight so you might want to take a klook if your interested. Cannot post link because of forum rules :( Seller = k1tt3n1305 thanks Mithandra
  22. Hi Guys, Just received my HOTAS Warthog after using the HOTAS Cougar for the past 2 years and thought I would share some of the experience. Put the throttle and the stick together the other night. The throttle and the Stick both have their own USB connections which is a nice added bonus. There were no drivers in the box so after some investigation I found out that it just used proprietary windows drivers which is another nice feature. I spun up DCS A10 and lined up on the runway for takeoff. Put the flaps down by just moving the flaps switch to pos 2 (very nice and slick), whacked the throttle to full and off I went rolling down the runway. Pulled back on the stick and took off. The experience really is very responsive and impressive. The stick is absolutely fantastic. Very very responsive, there is some resistance there when pushing and pulling the stick but not enough to be uncomfortable. There is no programming to be done either, one nice feature i found but haven’t got working yet was in the option of DCS A10 to sync the HOTAS with the cockpit when starting the sim. (Tried this but after pressing pause couldn’t click anything or do anything apart from moving the camera round) The responsiveness IMHO is second to none, while in flight if you want to turn very slowly just apply a hairs breath of pressure to the stick and off you go. I think it just feels perfect. The lights on the throttle are also very nice looking and allow you to play in dimmer light while still learning the controls, the throttle feels just right and is also very responsive. I would defiantly recommend one of these HOTAS system, best thing I have bought in a long long while. Thanks Mithandra
  23. there are some in this thread mate http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60598
  24. My Wife would like to say "thanks very much ED" for the outlay you have forced me into :megalol::music_whistling::music_whistling: 1. Saw the game the other day and bought it without a thought :) 2. I currently am using a HOTAS Cougar setup but now there is a HOTAS Warthog, this makes me feel inferior so now I have to spend £329 on some more joysticks :) (wifes gonna kil me) No seriously guys, fantastic job so far, I bought KA-50 but stopped playing it as you needed a degree in astrophysics to keep the damn thing in the air :) Keep up to good work and look forward to the next beta release :) thanks Mithandra
