  1. I am trying to figure out how to setup a gazelle I am flying as an Air fac. Can someone point me in the right direction
  2. Can someone help me set up a gazelle as an air fac?
  3. I turn to the heading and hit mark on the ufc. You pull up that mark as a waypoint. If you like you can set the heading bug on the hsi. Then I setup my tacan and ils. I use the rough figure of a ten mile final. For tacan approach thats 3000’ at the turn. I adjust the alt accordingly as i approach the turn so that when I roll out I am 300’ for each mile to go.
  4. I would like to fly. It looks like you need gazelle pilots. I will take an “L” if thats alright.
  5. You should bind the “T” key. Make sure its a button you can reach and hold easily, I use the pinky button. The ka50 uses a flight control/autopilot system that helps keep the ac stable. If you look at the right knee panel you will see 4 blue buttons, with a 5th slightly right of them. 3 of those button should be “on” pitch, roll and yaw. Then you hold down the trim button, move the ac to the desired attitude and release it. I use another button for the alt control, and another for turn to tgt, which is on the left knee panel. There are also flight director, track, heading and ingress settings. There are several different modes of fcs. Thats a too short and simple way of saying you should watch some youtube videos on trim. The reason for all that is to reduce pilot workload. But if you don’t 100% understand the fcs and what its doing, you will think the ac is trying to kill you.
  6. Thanks for the response. I am curious what you think is wrong with the flight model? I have never been in a gazelle. I have been many little helos similar to it. I am not a pilot, But I have spent most of my life in helos. I might say the engine brake works a little too good. But thats about it. I think its a very good helo. Might give a little more sound fluctuations from the engines. Thats a problem with all these syms. Maybe some more chop noise and shake when the rotors blades stall.
  7. The Gazelle is one of my favorites. I have flown in helicopters with a sas like this gazelle has. It seems about right to me. I was able to teach my son to fly it in about ten minutes. I have about 5000 hours as a crew member in various helos and the ones in dcs are the best sims I have flown. Does anyone know of a better sim? My problem is that I cannot understand the words on this thread. Is it being translated? Are they working on this module? When will it be done? What are they working on? My biggest problem with it is the cockpit lighting and the co-op multiplayer failures.
  8. I am going to disagree a bit. I had no problem getting up and running in the gazelle. Getting all the weapons to work. Using the nav system. I like all the heli sims. I wish the multiplayer worked better. I was a gunner/medic in pavehawks and jollygreens. The other day I put my son in the minigun seat and took him out and he zipped some targets. I really enjoyed it! My son said this is hard how do you aim. I said experience boy. Maybe with my background I just understand the systems easier. Are they going to work on it?
  9. On the left console near where you put in the frequencys. There is a dial. Move it to grd crew. I also open the door. Then alt \. works for me.
  10. I don’t have the normandy map or any wwii ac. If I buy the map, can I fly the a-10 or any modern ac on it?
  11. A couple questions. Any idea when these upgrades/ new helo will be done? How many upset people paid $1000 dollars for a joystick or video card to play the one of a kind, top of the line most realistic simulator ever ka50 sim that they paid less than $100 dollars for?
