Keep in mind, that nearly every system build in is tripled to keep the bird up in the air,...... lots of weight, as stated before. I suggest, you should learn to trim the hog, smooth flying, don´t push her to hard, like the missus :) . There is a freeflight mission with training loadout. This one was pretty handy for me, to learn trimming. Cruising at around 290kts IAS should be possible, with throttle set to 75% rpm. Depends on the wind. And Miss Hog is able to turn on a dime, no fighter could match, more like the Cessna. ;)

Hm, as for actual reasons, I would like to see the Korean peninsula. Afghansitan also, might be a real challenge to find/hit something in the mountains/hills. Also would be ral nice to make a fictional conflict in central europe. Something like "the russian bear restrengthen" Coldwar crisis........

If you are able to navigate as you said, either choose the inital waypoint, usually "0", or check the waypoints 50-60, there are all airfields listed. Choose your desired field, set your course,hit Autopilot, get some coffee or enjoy the landscape, closing in to about 8-5 miles then call ATC for inbound. They mostly give you a "visual" call. Works every time. For TACAN or ILS landings check procedures accordingly.

For me personally best thing working on a gunrun, is to attack from behind the target and 1,5nm out, confirm target by jtac, level it, speed up, hit pac1, hear the autopilot warning, pull the trigger, say "21", release, turn away.......do not try to overfly the target zone.

Kaufe dir eigenständige Pedale. Das is am Einfachsten. Ich benutze die Saitek ProFlightPedals mit meinem Cougar. Funktionieren wunderbar.

You dont need to modify it at all. Use Vipers profile, download it at Cougar World. It is highly recommended. You only need to take off yours hands off HOTAS while using ABRIS and moving GEAR:joystick: regards

Since BS, I love to fly russian choppers. I would also fly a MI-8 "Hip", or any other russian model. If there will be no AH-64, I would also love to see a "Comanche":megalol:. Anything, as long it is as good modelled, as BS.

No need to setup. BS recognizes it automazically. Make sure you use Vipers BS profile. Its worth! regards

Ich denke mal, es wird die Videokarte sein. Was hast DU denn für eine Karte genommen? So wie es aussieht, hast Du Dir da einen Flaschenhals geschaffen. Genauere Systemangaben, wie OS, Soundkarte, etc. könnten auch helfen. Grüsse

Soweit ich informiert bin, kann es für XP nicht gefixt werden, da dies ein OS ist, das keine Multicores unterstützt, bzw. ein 32 bit OS ist. Multicores werden in BS erst richtig unterstützt durch Vista. Ob das bereits mit Vista 32 bit funktioniert, wage ich zu bezweifeln. Aber ich lasse mich gerne eines Besseren belehren. Leider habe ich kein Vista, und werde auch keins verwenden. Ich warte auf Win 7. Grüsse

Sicher geht es. Ich habe es gerade nochmal mit DCSMAX1.4 ausprobiert. Bei mir gibt es keine FPS Verbesserung. 23FPS mit und ohne bei "Shooting Range" mission auf dem Flugplatz. Bei der Beschreibung steht ausdrücklich mit dabei, das es XP unterstützt, aber kaum eine, bzw. eine minimale FPS Verbesserung zu erwarten ist. Vielleicht hat der Eine oder Andere hier Glück, und bekommt ein paar Frames zusätzlich:thumbup:. Aber die Regel, wie bei Vista ist es nicht. Das Programm macht aber andere Dinge hervorragend. ein Klick und Du kannst Alle wichtigen Programme für DCS:BS starten. Super! Grüsse

Für mich ist immernoch die Transition vom Flug in den freien Hover die schwierigste Aufgabe. Einmal sauber getrimmt, ist das Bekämpfen von Zielen, oder das Landen easy. Ich habe oft das Problem, das der KA-50 sich beim Bremsen in den Wind drehen will, sobald IAS unter 50 km/h gesunken ist. Mittlerweile weiss ich auch, das man dann auf KEINEN Fall den Autohover einschalten sollte:music_whistling:. Hat jemand von Euch einen Link oder ein .trk in dem das Transitionsmanöver gut erklärt wird? regards

Cougar user should use Vipers Blackshark profile. It is mapped like you sugested already. Zoom on the "antenna" knob. Throttle on the "range" knob. Works like charm.:pilotfly:

Believe me, they DO engage you with the main gun. But it takes some time to aim. As you said, you where hovering behind a hill, and poping up for a shoot, they have not had enough time to engage you with 120mm.
