Small world, 140th AMXS here. :D As far as the models go, I'm not so sure you're looking at what ED is building right now and more the existing ones before they started building the Block 50. My guess is it's nowhere near ready to be implemented in patches to the public even on that level.

Wait till the sale drops and grab the whole FC3 bundle. Multiple aircraft included/best bang for the buck. Hornet (and other full fidelity modules) is great but will spoil you with the full fidelity pit (IE: clicky buttons/switches). If you learn on that and try to go backwards to FC3 jets, your learning curve gets all FUBAR because you'll be sitting there trying to make heads or tails of keybinds and getting frustrated that you can't just click on what you want with your mouse to operate it. Starting on the "easy" jets from FC3 gets your mind trained to use key binds from the start and makes transitioning to something like the Hornet a breeze.

Seriously just wanna take a moment and thank the whole HB team for their hard work and trying to keep us all updated as much as possible. You seriously can’t say that about a few of the 3rd party devs (not pointing fingers, we all know who they are). Remember, this is all being done while they’re working on the A model cat too as well as their other projects (A6). Are there bugs? Yes, obviously. Are they bad enough to keep my cat on the sidelines? Hell no. If anything the more we fly the cat the better feedback and data we can get to HB for improvements and fixes.

I'm not seeing anything officially confirmed or denied at this point, they're still working through it.

People want instant gratification and could give a damn about issues that arise in the process. At least ED is willing to put the brakes on something if it isn't working right or refocus to fix an issue asap. The same can't be said for a lot of other software dev's for other games on the market.

Back on topic, I’d think this module should be relatively straightforward given what’s been accomplished and what’s in development from its era. Now if the EF-111 made an appearance, that would certainly get my attention.
