  1. Already asked Gigabyte. They told me to reset cmos. Once i told them i already did all that, they said i had to contact my local shop where i bought the board for RMA. Waiting now for their response.
  2. Im going to contact the shop where i bought the board and ask them what to do.
  3. Oke, will do some research on it, thanks for the headsup.
  4. One last thing. Since i succesfully installed windows 11 with my new motherboard, i want to update the bios using the bios flash utility in the Asus bios settings. It tells me i have to suspend bitlocker before i can install the bios update. Thats normall. But when i enter control panel and go to system and security i cant open bitlocker settings. It only opens a screen(advertising) asking me to buy windows 10/11. I have windows 11 registered with a key so i dont understand this. When i right click on my C drive, there is no bitlocker option. How to fix this? Been searching for hours online but cant seem to find valuable information about this specific thing.
  5. @Raven (Elysian Angel) Thanks for your message! Sounds like there is hope without having to send it back. Will try this for sure!
  6. Just got this email replying on my reply where i said i already tried clearing cmos. "Thank you for emailing GIGABYTE. We are delighted with your interest in our products. For complaints within the guarantee period please contact your dealer. Your dealer has the possibility to either send a defective product either through its distributor or to complain directly to the responsible GIGABYTE RMA center. Regards GIGABYTE Team" Seems like they cant do anything about it. Really weird that changing these bios settings makes your pc unbootable and this cant be fixed by me with their information. Glad i bought another motherboard, cause sending it to them and for them to check whats wrong will take approx. 4 weeks from my own experience.
  7. I only disabled csm and went to secure boot to update the platform keys. After that i had to save and restart. Thats when my pc didnt boot anymore. I've got a reply already from Gigabyte, made it clear what the problem is and what i've tried to fix it, but they start with i need to update the bios and change settings in the bios, which i cant reach. And clearing cmos, everything i already explained doing. Seems like they dont even read everything i said making me to say everything multiple times. Maybe its a language barrier since im in contact with team Germany. Right now i do not have that motherboard installed in my pc. But is it possible to enter the bios with a flashusb even when the pc does not want to boot at all?
  8. No need to read the manual Did all the above already. But pc wont post, no bios screen. Cant do anything. Hopefully Gigabyte knows a way arround. In the meanwhile iam up and running with a new motherboard. Thanks for trying to help JayRoc
  9. Thanks for your reply. I made a support ticket at Gigabyte. Now lets wait 3 - 5 days. Couldnt wait and a new motherboard will be delivered today. Will try to fix the motherboard though when there is a solution. Keep you posted.
  10. Hi all, Im running windows 10 on a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite motherboard running a RTX 3070, Ryzen 5 5600x with 32 GB Ram. Now Windows 11 is officially out i wanted to install it, but my PC said it did not had TPM 2.0 enabled. After checking sone information videos i started changing some Bios settings to enable TPM. I had to disable CSM and after that go to 'Secure Boot' and update the platform keys and save and restart the PC. Unfortunatelly my computer never booted again. It went into an boot loop just making my fans spin and make my keyboard and mouse light up, make a post beep, and stop and doing it again and again etc. No signal on the monitor. After this i decided to clear the CMOS, did it by removing the battery for minutes and touching the pins with a screwdriver for like 15 seconds. Since then my pc when powering up only makes my fans spin and keyboard en mouse light up, no signal to monitor, no beeps. EZ debug lights are in a continuous loop. Been trying cmos resets again with no luck. When i remove my ramsticks it makes it beep, removing graphics card makes no difference. Havent tried removing cpu yet. I have a feeling it has nothing to do with hardware, but with software and how windows is booting. Can anyone hopefully with better understanding of these settings and system clarify anything for me what has happend? On internet i do find topics about this but never with a clear solution.
  11. Hi all, I recently upgraded to a G2 coming from a Rift S. The clearity in the G2 and colors sure are a upgrade. Apart from that im having some issues i cant seem to figure out. 1st my specs. RTX 3070 Ryzen 5 5600x 32 GB Ram SteamVR settings: 90 Hz Motion smoothing on Resolution per eye at 80% 2828x2768 Advanced supersample filtering on Overlay render quality auto (high) DCS settings are VR presets with even some settings lower like shadows but MSAA at 2x. Okay, when i want to use VR i always get the message "SteamVR needs to set itself up for App Containers" I get this when i open SteamVR and when i start DCS i get the message again. Anyhow to disable getting this message? When playing DCS in VR i notice my FPS does not always stay at a stable 45FPS. In the cockpit it stays mostly at 45fps, but looking to the front and moving from side to side im getting a little double vision/ghosting. No matter how low i put my settings, it stays like this. Looking exterior views my fps is going up and fluctuates between 45 and 90 fps depending where i look causing stutters. How can i force this to stay at 45fps? Im using standalone DCS world OB. Last issue im having is when playing multiplayer and changing roles or sometimes during flight itself im losing a lot of fps and frametime goes up causing unplayable stutters. I used to have this with my Rift S, and after upgrading my cpu and lowering terrain textures this got solved. But now using the G2 this issue is back. This sometimes dissolves itself after waiting some time and my fps and frametime goes back to normal. Whats causing this? Memory leaks or something? Edit: i have added my standalone version to Steam, and at the SteamVR Video tab at the Per application video settings i now see DCS WORLD OPEN BETA. But somethings off. I have set motion smoothing at Force Always on. But it seems like its not working. Also when i change the custom resolution multiplier at way different values, nothing has changed ingame. Must i add a different path in steam to add DCS to be able to force motion smoothing and change its resolution multiplier? Hope some experienced G2 users know how to fix these issues. Edit: at the moment im only having unplayable stutters since upgraded to a new motherboard and having to reinstall W10 and W11.
  12. Just read the F14 patch notes and saw the crash in sea bug/freeze has been fixed. Thanks HB!
  13. Thanks for responding guys. I did have a few crashes on startup. Must be the zip i sended. Those do give me the traditional log report screen. They dont bother me on startup. The crashes/ freezes after a long flight multiplayer do bother me. It indeed does look more like the game freezes. Instantly when hitting the water the screen freezes, but only when im still in the plane, when ejected it doesnt happen. Input software?... I installed the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS software on arrival, named 'Target' if i remember correctly, but havent used it since. Not sure if its needed to use the set. And using VR, Oculus Rift S. Im on holiday for the coming 2 weeks. Will check for files after freeze when in back home.
  14. This is the most recent zip file i've got. But i dont think this one will say anything about my crashes cause everytime when it happens i see there is no zip/log being created. dcs.log-20210821-134223.zip
  15. Still having these crashes. Did a slow repair but it doesnt fix it.
  16. Yep, seems like you were right @WOPR Case closed!
  17. That sounds quite plausible to be honest. I'll check it out next time. Thanks for replying.
  18. Got a link of the skin used in the top 2 images? Me like! Thanks in advance! @Gunslinger22
  19. Im experiencing this already for quite some time. Thought it might have been a common bug which would have been fixed, but no. When i view my or any other plane with F2 or F3 from the front/ middle and the afterburner kick in, there is no engine sound. Its complete silent untill the afterburner stops and the enginesounds are back. Repairs didnt fix it.
  20. Shift is working fine. I press 'shift u' and i see myself saluting, but i seem to get unhooked. Weird thing is it seem not to happen all the time. When i enter a server, the 1st launch goes as it should. It only seems to happen at a second launch etc.
  21. Nope, its still happening. By disengaging the NWS before launch, i accelerate and crash in the ocean and my game freezes instantly and i cant even use my computer anymore untill i disconnect the power and reboot. What do they mean by "cycling the hook at throttles idle"?
  22. Thanks Draconus
  23. There was a log file but that said it was an old one with a date of the day before the crash
  24. @FlappieThis file? dcs.20210812-204609.crash
  25. NWS off did the trick for me. Was able to launch normally. So this is a new thing since the last patch? Something else i encountered is using the lantirn pod. I always use the pilot lantirn mod playing online. Yesterday i cant seem to normally operate it anymore. Keybindings are the same, but im having a hard time staying locked on a groundtarget using point track. After dropping the LGB it loses track and falls off target. I guess not many use the mod so i guess it will be hard to find someone who might be experiencing the same. I'll drop a comment at the creator.
