  1. Greetings all, Thrustmaster just announced this offer on their Twitter page. Head on over and register. https://twitter.com/TMThrustmaster/status/1473685283937865733/photo/1 Good luck to whoever wins! Cheers, SS.
  2. Greetings all, I initially bought the Saitek X56 HOTAS when I first got into DCS back in 2018. I also fly XPLANE for preparing for 'real life' flight training and for that I use the Honeycomb Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle quadrant but since their Charlie rudder pedals haven't been released yet, I bought the Thrustmaster TPR pedals - which were fantastic. I was so impressed with the TPR, it convinced me to procure the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS - but obviously, none of my X56 bindings are relevant anymore. As you're all aware, it can take forever to set up and bind HOTAS controls so I was wondering if any one would be willing to share their "Input" folder (which can be found within the "Config" folder) for all their aircraft/helicopters? I did see one user sharing their Input folder on this forum but I think that was back in 2015 and I have every module. I know I'm perhaps being lazy but I thought I'd ask before settling down and spending a few days to bind everything on my own. Thanks in advance. SS.
  3. I am having the exact same issues. My engines keep shutting down on their own. My canopy opens in midflight. Landing gear and airbrakes deploy. It's driving me crazy. 1. The StarTech powered USB3.0 hub made absolutely no difference. 2. I turned off the LED brightness and nothing changed. This is the weird thing. While I was still in flight, I clicked on Options and went to the key/HOTAS binding screen and I find that all the options are selecting on their own, intermittently, without me touching any controller or pressing any button. It's absolutely driving me crazy and ruining my DCS experience. Unfortunately my X56 is now 3 to 4 months out of Warranty otherwise I could have had it exchanged. I just had a thought. It could be because the nearby cables, i.e. my VR headset are interfering with the signal from the HOTAS so I'll give that a try. -- Edited comment: I moved my X56 cables away from all the other cables, especially the Oculus Rift S cables, and it seemed to work. I believe the issue is, interference from other electrical signals and poor production from Saitek in not properly protecting their cables. Please note that I made a little campaign on the new Mariana Islands with me in an F/A-18B vs 4 * MiG-21 Bisons. I didn't have any issue until I landed and then the systems started shutting down. However, I don't know if it was because of my poor landing. I also need to point out that I only tried it once so I'm going to have to test and retest to confirm that this is in fact the solution.
  4. First of all, congratulations for the hard work on putting 2.7 together; especially for including the new clouds. I'd like to make a few suggestions for your "Options" screen - but this will require DCS reading your computer's specifications in order to know what information to display. 1. There's a lot of talk about fps but until you actually click "OK" on the "Options" screen, then start up DCS World, you can't tell. Is there any chance you can add an "Estimated fps" box on your Options screen as we adjust the settings? This would save a great deal of time. 2. Following on from point one, could be include a "quick view" button so we could see a 10 to 20 second video of what that specific setting will look like? That way, we can see if it's jittery, freezes, runs smoothly etc.
  5. As simple as that sounds, it may be the case. I use a "USB 2.0 4-Port Hub with LED Cable" and connect my HOTAS to that and sometimes it comes loose. I'm waiting for my powered USB Hub to come through so I honestly think that is the problem because every other function works - well, apart from my MiG-21 and Su-27 where the canopy ejects as if the aircraft is haunted. Thank you. I'll double check that.
  6. Thanks guys. Just needed to check this is not happening with others. I'm having an issue with my MiG-21 and Su-27 too where the canopy keeps ejecting either on the ground or in the air (and I don't even have the canopy eject bound). This never used to happen last year but all of a sudden, I'm seeing little errors here and there.
  7. Greetings all. I've suddenly not been able to steer while trying to taxi. I've double checked my bindings and verified that I have the Nose Wheel Steering button is correctly assigned. I've also noticed that the airbrake decides to deploy when I taxi. I've never had this issue before and it's driving me crazy. Any thoughts? Cheers.
  8. Thanks rossmum. I did check that (one of the first things I did - because when i first got my HOTAS, my aircraft kept diving when I throttled up and it turns out that the throttle was bound to pitch and climb). But, it isn't that. I'll do as the others suggested and lock the canopy - but the odd thing is, I never had to do that and the canopy ejects even if I start an in-flight activity (so it should be locked automatically).
  9. Hey guys. Thank you so much. I thought that but it seems that during start-up, taxiing and also inflight, the canopy ejection happens so fast, I don't get a chance to actually lock it. I'll focus on that the first thing I do. I should point out that I've done some basic missions last year and the canopy never ejected; especially when I start the in-air missions so I find it bizarre this is happening now. Thank you once again for your input. Happy flying!
  10. Greetings all. I'm working through the tutorials for the MiG-21 and for some reason, whether I'm just taxiing, taking off or learning radar operations, the canopy just releases itself. I don't eject as I've set that to my HOTAS. It's only the canopy. Can anyone advise if this has happened to you and what you did to resolve it?
  11. Greetings all. After the last update, I found that after loading up DCS, I can 'reset view' but after that, the "laser pointers" from the two handsets on Oculus Rift S disappear. I've tried everything to try to get them to reappear but I can't. I also noticed when I move my head, when before it used to be smooth, now it's extremely jittery. Does anyone else have this problem and are there any solutions? Thanks, Ab
  12. Greetings. I downloaded and installed this excellent aircraft (thank you, by the way) but I noticed that on 2.5.6, when I come in to land on a carrier, it smashes into the deck. I'm assuming this is an error due to the fact the Skyhawk was developed for older versions. Please clarify. [Please note that I didn't read all 47 pages of comments so apologies if you already answered this question]
  13. Hi there. Downloaded, installed and followed the YouTube tutorial. Managed to update 2.5.5 but require assistance before I screw up my installation. I'd like to update 2.5.5 to 2.5.6 (Open Beta) and was hoping someone could assist with "Updating for Dummies" instructions, please? I installed Open Beta independently but experienced a few bugs, i.e. crackling sound during air combat and the administration screen is stuck in 4:3 aspect ratio - even if you change in settings. Can someone assist, please?
  14. Greetings all! First post on here. When I first signed up for DCS World, I procured a number of aircraft; not realising that a few stand-alone aircraft were available in Flaming Cliffs 3. More correctly, I was under the assumption that the stand-alone aircraft were perhaps more advanced version of FC3. I bought F-15C, Su-33, MiG-29A and of course the Su-25 comes for free anyway. If I buy FC3, would I be refunded those three aircraft I bought previously? I wrote an e-mail to support but didn't get a response - hence the post here. The normal cost of the aircraft I bought would be $59.96 but in reality, I bought them during the sale, i.e. $30. So, I was curious if there's a way to pay ~$20 and just get FC3 to get the other aircraft as well. Cheers, SS.
