  1. Thank you for this I had no idea there was a whole section or additional frameworks built by users like you - will try this. Thanks again.
  2. I saw that you can create multiple spawn points then give them late activation, I know there is more to this but I think it's arma where you can drop a unit, widen a circle and say spawn somewhere in that circle. Does DCS have anything like this? I have only used the editor a handful of times and very basic just to spawn a few things. I might play DCS more if I could randomly spawn units assigned them waypoints to my FOB with attack order then take off and go hunting. Knowing where the units are going to be ruins the whole idea for me. Thanks
  3. I got mine fixed last night here is what I had to do. I'm not saying I did not bork something up but I get so frustrated trying to get it to run I only come back every couple months to try again, last time I played the performance in VR was so bad I gave up again. This time found out it was because I had openXR resolution set to 100%, changed to 50% and it was fine. reverbg2, 10600K, rtx 3080, windows 10, 32gb ram. - Uninstall EVERYTHING including mixed reality - Reinstall Everything including mixed reality - reinstall the openxr toolkit
  4. Thanks for the feedback Phantom, last night I was finally able to get the non MT version running in steamVR and the mt version runs on openXR once I installed openxr toolkit. I think the reason for my poor performance was my openxr resolution was set to 100% and pd to 1, when I lowered openxr resolution to 50% performance was fine which confuses me a little because from what I see almost everyone runs at 100% on openxr. 'm on a 10600K processor, rtx 3080, 32gbram, and reverb g2. Last time I played I gave up due to poor performance in VR, got excited about the Afghanistan trial so decided to fire it back up and try again. Literally spent the last day trying to get it to start up. Think I made some progress last night will probably spend the rest of the day trying to improve performance now. I am on Windows 10 Pro, glad I never upgraded
  5. Thank you one question how do you get the MT version of DCS to run using SteamVR? Until I installed openXR toolkit the MT DCS.exe would not run. I understand there is a performance hit but still want to try to see what results I may get just not sure how to get MT DCS.exe to run in steamvr. Thanks
  6. Are you saying you have reshade working in MT VR for DCS? You had to use reshade + this other toolkit?
  7. I can no longer start DCS in VR, the headset never recognizes it. Shortcut no shortcut does not matter, updated simply will no longer start in VR after uninstalling and reinstalling mixed windows reality
  8. So uninstalled everything and reinstalled, had no mouse cursor in game prior. Now when I launch DCS it won't go in to VR. The reverb g2 headset stays in the house things that's default and DCS never starts. DCS is set to run in VR in the option. Now, how do I get DCS to work with hp reverb g2?
  9. I literally try to fly once every few months, when I get in DCS it takes hours to get setup and I get so frustrated I turn it off again and have no interest in flying anymore because it becomes a setup nightmare. Last time I tried installing openXR and it was complete stutters on a reverb g2 & 3080. Went to try again today and I have no idea how to run it without OpenXR, been trying to uninstall all the open XR stuff and rebooting but DCS continues to start without steamVR. How do you get rid of openXR and go back to steamvr?
  10. FYI : in case anyone is interested seems like a good deal, appears to be new not listed as refurbished. $99 off the regular price. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1745332-REG/next_level_racing_nlr_g001_hf8_haptic_feedback_gaming.html

    FPS

I've been tweaking for days, DCS that is. Finally managed to see 90 FPS on maps outside of the channel, loaded up the AH-64 tonight and and only got 32 FPS on Caucuses. I see the texture issue is still there where this helicopter requires medium instead of high textures and after changing that I'm seeing 60-75 now on the MT version using SteamVR. When I launch the non MT version also using SteamVR as openxr my FPS all the same settings I'm seeing 42-45FPS, up until tonight and all the tweaking I saw no difference between MT and non MT but obviously I see it now. Using an I5-10600K, 3080 card, Reverb G2 (currently running 50% resolution so have some room to move this up), PD = 1.0 I also set my pre-rendered frames in the NVCP back to 1, based on the GPU graph from steamvr it helped the frame times.
  12. I'm on an HP reverb G2. Thank you for the info
  13. I've been searching for what people are using in regards to custom render scale in OpenXR but I can't seem to find anything. In one of the setup guides the guy had it at 90%. I'm trying to benchmark my setup to see if it is on par with those of you who have been using dcs and openxr for a while. For those who use OpenXR - 1) What custom render scale percentage do you use? 2) Are you also setting another scaling inside DCS using the OpenXR toolkit? 3) Assume the majority of people are leaving DCS pixel density at 1 is that correct? Thank you
  14. Thanks, if I add another profile for dcs.exe , I'm still unable to remove it and only the one continues to show up. My concern was that it was trying to use this profile and overwriting my settings to the MT folder which I also have setup. Turns out it was not so I don't have to worry about trying to make it go away. I don't understand where it pulls this from since I removed DCS, saved games, and all registry entries but it retained this in the NVCP list. Thank you
