I noticed it too and wasn't sure to open a bug-ticket. ...(I use a FFB cyclic) I would be more pleased if this vibration would be only translated into FFB shaking instead into direct control inputs. I had once a flight in the EC-135 and I'm thinking about the flight stability and autopilot systems that damping a lot of the vibrations that are translated by the swash-plate to the controls. Maybe it's just this - and the HU-H1 also puts this 'unwanted' feedback from the linkages directly back into cyclic input - and so it starts a unwanted 'oscillation' in your controls parameter (because the sim doesn't distinguish between FFB and input) that causes you to overreact and have to be very careful what you do while in ETL.

- yes , but this 'early files' that got leaked by Icemaker are not fully compatible with this mod (I never wanted to make a public release with them - they where just meant for showcasing something to him during a e-mail/skype conversation). My version looks right now like this : "fixed" in-cockpit UH-1H kneeboard position: ... Please have some patience - I'm not a 'coding machine' - and the read-me/explanation wants also to be written... ... the family have to be feed - bills have to be paid.;) - expect a new version within the next two to four days. In the meantime you are free to use the links that lefuneste01 gave you - but don't expect any assistance on how to make it work together with this 'Kneeboard-base-mod'. ... working out functional FC3 in-cockpit positions.

Now I'm also confused - as there is absulute no info I can work with in your reply .

Did you read this 'guide' ? : A Helping hand how to edit "Monitorsetup".lua files: ------------------------------------------------------ >>> Dummies Guide for the “MonitorSetup.lua“ http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/214771/ To help you further we need a little more info what you have tried already - and how your desktop layout is . - so we can short-cut the usual troubleshooting. Or just try this : Easy Monitor Configurator - once you got through the installing "hiccup" >>> you should have no problem to configure it without editing a file - just read the read-me of EMC.

Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
PeterP replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
My thoughts about the 'Why?' Typos are fixed, thanks I removed the mission during the latest update to stay under 10mb and load it directly up in this forum , but this failed and I loaded it up to Mediafire - but didn't repacked it again. Well , the mission is nothing fancy - its all planes/modules set as client - so its easy to hop in and out in each cockpit to check the view-positions without reloading again. (see attached) Mission will be included in the user-files upload. - and sorry for the delay , but right now this: » KNEEBOARD Export for 'multimonitorsetup.lua' in all modules - DCS 1.2.4 has the highest priority on my list - and it still needs some retouch , so I dedicate my free-time first on this until I'm satisfied , than I will look again at the view-positions again. And to be honest : I just needed a break from all this "View" stuff ;):) All planes-modules test.miz -
another workaround: This dose't fix the export , but it will render the Kneeboard inside the cockpit , so you are still able to get all info from the charts even if no "KNEEBORD" entry is defined in your "MiltimonitorSetup".lua Go to \Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\KNEEBOARD\indicator\init.lua and delete/comment out line # 49 , example: from this: purposes = {100,render_purpose.HUD_ONLY_VIEW} to this -- purposes = {100,render_purpose.HUD_ONLY_VIEW}

Did now some tests with common Helios set-ups only in the A-10C and saw myself how inconvenient this 'A-10C TAD bug' is - I also located 'somehow' the culprit in the A-10C MFCD_page_TAD_MAP.lua and/or MFCD_page_TAD_CHART.lua (or close) - but I wasn't able Mask the TAD only on to the export render-space of the MFCD- maybe there is just a simple thing that I'm missing... Whatever - instead that I reserve-engineer something and/or just 'Try' and waste a lot of time: It would be much simpler if a Tester would start a request in his tester-forum and ask for Dev input. A) how to mask the TAD texture - so it didn't spawns to the knee-board ? and/or B) how to bring the Knee-board to another level while keeping the User-Charts intact? Maybe it's just a very simple edit to bring the Kneeboard to full function while it is rendered near a MFCD export in the A-10C. Maybe this behaviour is also the main culprit why we don't have the knee-board implemented in the A-10C by default in 1.2.4 , while all others modules use it - who knows?!

Changing focus.png - Question.
PeterP replied to dooom's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Yes, for all planes that uses the NVG - but you might want to have a look at this: NVG Mod and use a blank Focus.png with it >>> http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1757806#post1757806 -
The TAD and the Kneeboard share the same Level. Quick'n'Dirty temp workaround only for the A-10C: \DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\KNEEBOARD\indicator\definitions.lua line number #2 - set DEFAULT_LEVEL = 4 To DEFAULT_LEVEL = 5 But this sadly triggers that the charts aren't visible any-more... - well , this needs some special treatment and a deeper analysis how it's chained together for a robust fix.

edited post#1 This mod got obsolete and is replaced by this: KNEEBOARD Export for 'multimonitorsetup.lua' in all modules - DCS 1.2.4 @Moderators Please close this thread.
-
Attention! It's not save to use Heaters instruction and it isn't working! 1. there is a second entry for the "device_init.lua" missing (creators) 2. The "devices.lua" needs also a entry. 3. The key-commands trigger a conflict with other key-commands that are already occupied by default. Please be a little patient and wait until I will upload a save-to-use file package that fixes the Kneebord for the A-10C

Try this instead: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1628706#post1628706 It will 'correct' your stick behaviour. And the sounds you are searching are localized here: ...\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Uh-1H\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Uh-1H\Cockpit\ForceTrimOn.wav and ForceTrimOff.wav

Thanks - that's it! Edited post #1 with direct link to the fix as long I have not incorporated it in the mod. - (sorry, I can't hold it:)) but , a 'fix' directly from ED would be much more convenient. And use Notepad++ when you edit the scripts! And: before you edit: Make a Backup, make a Backup and make a Backup! - OK ?! General: Always make a backup ! And be very careful what you do as long there is no info that it works with your current version! If you are not sure: Check the file structure beforehand. Edit:

Please don't forget to make your 'bug' report !- as it is strange that all other modules expect the A-10C is using now the default Knee-board in DCS-World. - this is just a strange - even if this feature was never promised for the A-10C. Up to the date until I will make a own 'fix' , this vids should be proof enough that the kneeboard is working very fine in the A-10C: and a more 'experimental' stage:
-
Will do - but not today - I'm getting too..., well - how to say it ?... , unsure about my user-keyboard interactions ... (it's since 30mins not my birthday any-more in my time-zone) .... I'm just happy to hold a glass without spilling it ! :) Another cause could be that I'm using edited device_init.lua files in my saved games directory - as I said : will find soon a "easy" fix Also thanks for the reminder to care for a more 'sterile' testing environment!
-
well, you are right - ( funny:) : I used my own suggestions that I gave you (!)- and cleaned out my 'saved games' path ...) The knee-board is not working in the A-10C completely. this seems some sort of " bug" - to make things clear: I'm not responsible for it - ED seems to 'forgot' to add the needed key commands to the 'Keybord.lua' of the A-10C ... seems you should make a bug-report in you testers forum. It was was working for me while testing because I didn't deleted my (hefty edited) files of the saved-games folder. And I made my last tests only in FC3 and the Huey...but not in the A-10C! Once I used the keyboard default.lua of the A-10C I'm also not able to call for the knee-board in the A-10C. - will work out a fix in the next days. In the meantime : Please read the thread-title as this KNEEBOARD Export for 'multimonitorsetup.lua' in all modules - DCS 1.2.4 - as long the Developer of a module allowed the use of the default kneeboard.
-
Clean/repaired install? - means: no leftover files of a previous 'kneeboard' mod left for the A-10C. ... You are the 'tester' - why do you ask me?! and you should know that I need more info than you gave , ... just to convince me to have a closer look on your problem at all :D - I could also ask: is the power plug plunged in while you fly the A-10C ?! :) Edit: ...wait...
-
certainly ! -this is up to Icemaker! I just provide the basics. - much better would be if ED and all 3rdParty developer would make the same changes that Icemaker and I worked out to get each view-export separated and available for end-user editing without the need to edit it again each time a new 'update' is out.... See: >>> Export - but I would like to make it absulute independent for each module - so you can choose the position for each module independent ( what I'm using right now) - but this needs more changes to the 'core' of each module - that's a little more than a simple file-swap like this 'tiny' mod... ...I'm using right now a version were I have different key-presses to hop directly on a pre-defined page , and I don't have to open the "briefing" - its all available in real-time while I fly and on a place that I decide. (Yes - the briefing images too. in cockpit, on my virtual knees or in a export) - and it is postulated as absulute new device in the "device_init.lua" of each module and so it need a lot of changes to each chained file including the 'input' and 'export' file. ...and I think it better to introduce it once this becomes reality: Kneebord Export for all DCS modules - I need your suggestions ....and there will be a real necessary to have another info on the knee-board available for each plane you are sitting in - because the A-10 needs another briefing than the Huey that share the same mission in a multi-player session. :D ... so it seems the dog is biting its own tail again :D
-
:D...to make it understandable/visual for the "average joe" what happens when the torque gets stronger than the plane can take at a current speed/airflow over the wings :

exactly this is what the key-script app is doing that I mentioned in my previous post - there are so much flavours ... I cant list them - do a search. Some work directly on the tablet - so you can program a gesture that sends a certain key-press to your pc or you can program it on your pc and it will be triggered via the touch-mouse function of the tablet and executed on your pc. (I use autohotkey + Air display on a iPad - so the iPad behaves just like another touch-screen monitor hooked to my pc ) Here is a showcase what I do with autohotkey - and it works the same when doing it on the tablet: >>>How To:Radio Menu control with Mouse Gestures The possibilities are sheer endless ( - without the need for a dedicated app)- it's up to you what you make out of it. Your own imagination is the limiting factor - open it up! ;):)

How to unchain the rudder from trim
PeterP replied to PeterP's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
BTW and @ all : A interesting thread: Can we have this little Huey feature in our BS? Please leave your opinion in this link above - maybe you get heard.
