  1. I am the same. Spent ages fixing windows 10 / DCS with USB / track IR stuttering which I fixed as was getting constant 60fps 4K in 1.5.4 however now with 1.5.5 and the last windows 10 patch... stuttering is back, FPS no higher than 30. and USB switch devices resetting with custom control panels..... I'll attach logs when I get the chance ED. I have disable all my mods and run a file repair on my dcs install. not sure what do. haven't tested Nevada yet Cheers Update... Windows 10 sleep mode, reduces refresh rate on 4k screen from 60hz to 30hz... reboot fixes... problem 1 solved. Latest windows 10 patch reset a lot of registry based selective suspend options for USB... disable thoses... groovey game switches still switch off if they single throw options like the CICU and JTRS switches on my AHCP for example... 3 positions switches with a middle of pos seem to be ok. Problem 2 persists. every 20 or so seconds FPS drops to 1-8.... only thing I can see in the log is tac view activity? Will keep testing dcs - Copy.rar
  2. Maybe fixed - at least significantly improved I followed these instructions... http://www.aef-hq.com.au/aef4/showthread.php?44812-Found-a-fix-for-juddering-stuttering-in-dcs Then I also went into regedit and drilled down to the following branch HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB in there I searched for "enhanced", this would give me every USB device with a key of "DeviceSelectiveSuspended" or "EnhancedPowerManagementEnabled" and I set the value of all those keys to "0" from where it was "1" Additionally, I have been through device manager and into powermanagement tab of any usb device that had, I turned off power management. Lastly, I disabled usb selective suspend in power plan settings. The performance in 2.0 is vastly better in terms of stuttering (however 2.0 > 1.5 on my pc in general performance terms anyway). I still seem to get the TRackIR disconnect msg periodically with the device off my head, however the massive stuttering at other times has gone. Am too far into changes to know in isolation which items were the "effective" fixes and not enough time to analyse it further. Just happy performance is better. I still get some USB based switch / button panel cycling however though so that's still annoying however, the massive stuttering is gone in both versions, more smaller stuttering in 1.5 but playable again (even prior to today 2.0 update) cheers, hope this helps someone
  3. Sadly it doesn't work, might have hardware issues... the only way I can test is to expedite building of new rig with new mobo. With my groovey games gears unplugged as well as TM MFD's... happens in 203 and 155... thanks for the help anyways
  4. Thanks for the tip.. will try as i have usb attachment on my logitech g530 headset as primary audio anyway and can go without it. Did you get trackir unplugged the plugged in messages and massive stuttering along with any usb controller based panel with single or double throw switches cycling as the usb device connected again? Ps. Great job with SRS.
  5. @skatezilla.... I have googled and found all the win 10 gui based options in power management and device manager to turn off USB related power management settings and selective suspend. I I still get the TRackIr unplugged error and stutter at this time. I downloaded a program which delates all old USB device entries. My searching for registry tweak has proved unsuccessful for windows 10 specifically. I have gone from dual screen to single screen - full screen option and removed the USB gpwiz 40 device which had the majority of physical switches (for my AHCP panel) from the setup which gave me the most problems with USB resets causing CICU to reset in flight (sad panda) Do you have any other advice of searches or registry tweaks that I have not tried? Thanks for any help
  6. @bitmaster, Good Idea, my original exclusion based troubleshooting idea was to buy rift.... I can't exclude a faulty USB device through I have swapped the ports they are connected to and disabled USB 3 in bios... cheers @skatezilla, thanks for the tip, I guess it's registry editing for me as I have done the power management and device manager usb power management items to the ports / hubs etc ... cheers ... though I can play arma 3 helicoptering with TrackIR and HOG controls just fine, albeit I don't use the mfd's and Gpwiz boards in it. I'll need to be a bit more systematic with excluding devices to narrow it down...trying to avoid a complete win reinstall....
  7. Update. 20161110... Stuttering fixed generally, except when I get track IR disconnect / reconnect msg - which is only when my track clip pro is off my head - seems to work much better I have uninstalled / deactivated everything, deleted all profiles / saves directories and done a fresh install. Win10 64bit patched. Z77 mobo I7 K 16GB 2133 ram 980Ti. DCS on second SSD OS on first SSD temp folders and save game file on separate 7200rpm HDD on separate SATA controller. USB devices on mixture of internal and expansion card ports, plus Phillips 4k monitor usb hub builtin. TM MFDS TM warthog J+T 2x groovey game gear gpwiz 40's M&K Logitech headset All USB power management options disabled / off in various device pages. DCS added to AVAST antivirus Nothing really fixed the frequent micro stutters until I reinstalled. Also I have not reinstalled all modules... just A10c, F5e, Mirage, OPF campaign (previously I had everything installed except 109 and 190 and C101) What I get now though is still the massive stutters on trackIR unplugged etc msg. Log attached. cheers dcs.log.old.rar
  8. Hi team, getting a lot of stuttering in various a/c, smooth in between stutters, good fps, no difference with res / or graphics settings detuned etc. usb power management is mostly turned off that I can see and power management is at ecological unsound levels. I have noted in my log file I get many repolls of usb controllers and they all get assigned a new id number each time... (TM MFD's, Warthog J and T, Groovey Game gears x 2, mouse keyboard) hope this helps the bug squishers.. regards dcs.log.rar
  9. Status: unresolved again. Update 2: Back to square 1... lasted for 30minutes in 1.5 without issues. tried 2.0... issues straight away... back to 1.5, almost immediately my toggle switches self toggle on the groovey game gear board resulting in CICU switch cycling on and off... I do note since the changes below I am not getting track IR message any more though... Update.... I think my usb issues appeared resolved.... search from a windows 10 perspective today and did this.... results: --------------------------------------------- Open Device Manager by typing devmgmt.msc in the Start > Search panel. The Device Manager window will open. Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers branch then double-click the USB Root Hub device, and choose the Power Management tab.Oct 3, 2009 ---------------------------------------------- search string ---------------------------------------------- windows 10 disable usb power management ---------------------------------------------- no more trackIR disconnects and no more groovey game gear homemade panels with toggle switches toggling on usb power cycling hope it works for some of you guys I am testing in 1.5retail standalone... will try 2.0 later and report
  10. I found an interim painful but workable solution is to map a modifier key to the on/off toggle switches, that way the reset of hardware doesn't reset the switch in game. I personally am using LCTRL with the offending toggle on/off switches. I could also get around by changing the offending on/off switches to momentary "on" buttons, but that would defeat the purpose of having something that resembles the AHCP panel.
  11. dxdiag DXdiag as requested. hope it helps... I have temporarily disabled my physical switches that are always "on" when flicked like CICU, TGP, JTRS etc to avoid problem, any rocker momentary "on" types switches and buttons don't cause a problem, just any switch when in on position turns off and on again when device re-init's. thanks DxDiag.txt
  12. Ongoing USB and trackIR issues - missing logs missing log files. half asleep when posting dcs.log2.txt dcs.log.nttr.txt
  13. Ongoing USB and trackIR issues After patching both DCS versions to latest I still get the same Track IR disconnects, which then coincides with a reseting of my groovey game gear based physical panels. I have disabled windows 10 power mx of usb in power settings, and in device manager I have disable windows powering down inactive usb devices. Attached are my logs (both 1.5.4 and 2.0.3) This issue seems quite persistent. I have a few things to fix with my panels in that some of the momentary switches are moment off not moment on, so on the reset / reinitialise of the GGG controllers, I am getting a big long list of letters and numbers in the CDU scratchpad (have not verified that these characters correspond to the momentary off switches or other). Could it be an issues that with the "on" status physical devices (switches / buttons) that on reinit of USB GGG device it sends 10-20 simultaneous button / switch commands depending on state of switch / type of button and DCS just processes them as new commands? Many thanks
  14. Here is my log file showing usb resets... affecting in game systems etc.. thanks dcs.log.txt
  15. I concur... I have tried some simple mission at night .... mucked around with gain settings on BHOT and WHOT mode.... zero effective thermal contrast to use TGP effectively... this needs to be fixed otherwise it's pretty well nerfed to EO/TV pod only that is LLTV rather than true IR... those trees look toasty warm though ! ED please rectify this ... I love my A10c at night.... but just am turned off doing night missions whilst this exists edit - add screenshots... TGP night. Nevada map both modes of WHOT and BHOT. trees show as bright as (or dark as) the desired target object.
  16. Excellent thank you. will follow when the time comes !
  17. Hi knowledgeable folk. I only have OB 1.5 installed on my pc now, having uninstalled DCSW1.2.x.x. Is it reported / intended / known that I will be able to upgrade the OB1.5 install to the release / retail candidate when done, or should I have space for a or fresh "full release" downloaded or upgradeable previous release version ? I only ask as I most likely will need to get another SSD due to space constraints. I am having too much fun with 1.5OB to uninstall it whilst downloading newer versions Many thanks Von Thrud
  18. MP connections issues + port forwarding Thanks for the reply.... I will remove all rules from router (netgear) and re apply - though I entered port forwarding for Armed Assault exactly the same way and it works... I even use the portchecker tool from portforward dot com and it told me the both tcp and udp ports to 10308 at my servers ip of 192.168.0.6 were open..... I just never have had an issue with port forwarding before black shark I will endeavour to try those connection setting suggestions you list soon with regards to when to enter port numbers and when not to. I do recall in the chat player lobby screen when I had the chat bar down I did see someone connecting on port 64435 or something number liked that...... which I thought bizarre given the default port of 10308. regards
  19. MP Connections Issues A friend and myself have similiar issue, can't connect between each other. one person is frozen - the other is not. set up port forwarding same as I did for Armed assault and that PTP networks fine between us. With B.S. we can connect to other multiplayer games ok. though I have noted the in the multiplayer list, the games that it doesn't display details like ping and map etc are the problems to join (yes after pressing refresh)... I can start a server fine, but mate gets server shutdown errors and the like after 5 secs of being in a paused helicopter cockpit frustrating !
