  1. Try to put your velocity vector in the target area, you won't have to slew as much after each shot
  2. that's been my policy since F18...never again...even if they try to lure you with the AH-64D...won't do it again
  3. Hey, thanks TJ :)
  4. No there are still problems with certain JTACs like predators...when used, the FAC calls for GUNS if all you have is LGBs and insists on using WP despite seeing it as Type 2
  5. Nothing works perfectly. You haven't discovered "the catch" I've had rubber thumbsticks in the past and they are MUCH more responsive to input than this big honking disk...and if 8-way hat switches were so obviously the answer, you'd see that as the ultimate fix for this...do I really need to use the 8-way china hat for trim?? No, it would be much more useful as the SOI cursor slewer of your choice, but that isn't the case...and by the way, I have my normal 8-way hat set as AXIS NOT 8-way...I've tried 8-way and it's abysmal...but I do agree, analog is much better at slewing than digital
  6. It's working...you can't just press the TDC then release it and start slewing...TDC must be held while you are slewing...if you start at about 15-12nm out at around 15k, put airspeed at around 250-270kts, engage ATC so it will pull back throttle automatically to keep you from gaining speed too quickly on the dive... place seeker triangle on the area and start looking for "white dots"...then see which way your triangle is drifting, hold down "TDC Select TGT" and slew reticle so that when you release the TDC, it drifts right over the White dot and it should SNAP to a lock, hit pickle, rinse, repeat
  7. Yep, I dropped them, they blew up...but if you mean "capable of being guided", then yeah but that's not even complete yet until the pods get here...
  8. Actually, we had LGBs before this last update
  9. Unlimited Weapons, of course,...you're not gonna start a practice session with 16 targets and four MAVs and then have to start all over...
  10. Here's another:
  11. Axis...zero deadzone...zero curvature
  12. I never said there was...what I did say was that the rocker disc is hard to use compared to the thumb joysticks that are on the WartHog...the rocker disc is a little over 1/2 inch in diameter and is on my Razor Tartaurus Gamepad and not on my throttle...that's right, I don't even have the luxury of full HOTAS...I use my throttle for speed, comms, jettison functions, and refueling probe...my Razor mini pad for flaps, Weapons/Navigation modes, landing gear, hook, launching bar, chaff & flares, and speed brake and TrackIR centering on the Razor's keys and the rocker disc on the side for Attack Radar cursor slewing as well as MAVF/HUD slewing, then my mouse for selecting items I have not yet assigned to Razor Keys (8 levels of 15 key pages), and finally a CH Fighterstick for stick and Pro pedals..does that help you? :joystick:
  13. Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant
  14. Yes, and if you notice, to compensate for speed compared to the A10, I begin my roll and dive at around 250-270kts and put the ATC on. This helps keep the Hornet from building speed into the dive, giving you more time to make the lock...and I'm not using an easy little rubber thumbstick like on the WH...I have a large rocker disc that is harder to control with your thumb than those thumb joysticks
  15. Ok, well then for now, I'll just let the LGBs "age" a bit
  16. Ok, so you're saying we can see the "guidance" part of this, more with Lofting than with a straight flyover? Is that correct? Is there a true LOFT mode on the F18 with pull up indicator and release bar? Like the Tornado?
  17. Idk, but I find the slew rate better than before...the lock on targets is more forgiving and quicker I think...I have a track if you're interested....here's a quick video:
  18. Now when you say "making the waypoint from the JTAC instructions" why would the pilot have to input numbers at all? Shouldn't that be entered by the lasing platform, or at the very least, sent to the pilot's ordinance computer so there's no misunderstanding from audible remarks?
  19. Merry Christmas to everyone and enjoy the holidays with your loved ones
  20. Good, then they can hire Cribob to fix the ME
  21. Wouldn't it be better if they fixed the ME and no one would then have to use CTLD or Bullwinkle or whatever that moose thing is???
  22. If the ME is so messed up and for a long time, why the hell aren't they fixing THAT? That's ridiculous that it hasn't been addressed.
  23. CTLD is that a third party app? Not using them
  24. No actually the ground diamond was placed there by the FAC...reason? I forgot to place a ROE of WEAPON HOLD...so what happened when I started the FAC actually destroyed one of the targets in the group...once I edited the commands and tasks for the laser vehicle, he didn't give me the target diamond
