Thank you for the answer. But i think there is a bit of miscommunication. A while back, when you where able to pre-order the Super, there was information about swappable "lensunits". If i bought the Super with Qled lenses, it would be able to change the Qled unit for Led unit, wich would be later be released. My question is, is the Ultrawide lens-unit swappable with the normal Qled 50ppd unit, or do i have to buy a whole new Pimax Super Ultrawide package?

Pteradon started following 140° undistorted FOV: Crystal Super Ultrawide
-
Thanks @Nodak It seems my max overlap is around 90°. So the Ultrawide would be the best experience with VR in DCS. But we will have to wait when the first real reviews of the Ultrawide appear. Another question. Are the lenses (unit) of the Ultrawide swappable with the Super 50ppd?
-
Hey Rosso, i don't understand your comment about "only" 5 degrees more than the super with 50 ppd. The Super 50 ppd has an FOV of 127° with an overlap of 105° for both eyes. The Ultrawide has an FOV of 140° with an overlap of 90° for both eyes. Maybe a stupid question but, The overlap of both eyes. That is needed for the 3d view (depth perceptive)?

Years ago i had an Oculus Rift for flying in DCS, but real life had other plans. At this moment i want to make the jump again to VR in DCS. I have a couple of VR in my mind. Somnium VR1, Big Screen Beyond 2 and the Pimax Crystal Super. I noticed Pimax Crystal Super has 2 versions: 57 ppd and tge 50 ppd. Both have a resolutions of 3840x3840x2 with refresh rate of 72 Hz / 90 Hz. The only difference i found was the fov. The 50 ppd has a fov of 135 degree and the 57 ppd has a fov of 120 degree. Is the difference of 7 ppd noticable and worth of in- or decrease of fov?

Buttkicker LFE good for DCS
Pteradon replied to Pteradon's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Just bought the LFE. Now i have to find the right amplifier. Do i need an amplifier with usb connection to the pc, for working with the Simshaker software? In a couple topics on the net, they mentioned DSP. Must the amplifier be an DSP version? Wich amplifier is recommended? -
Buttkicker LFE good for DCS
Pteradon replied to Pteradon's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The frame i have is the Monstertech MTS cockpit. (not a light construction) The base shaker plate has also mounting holes for the LFE. Therefore i am thinking about buying the LFE. But the LFE is sold without an amplifier. Do i need an amplifier with usb connection to the pc, for working with the Simshaker software? In a couple topics on the net, they mentioned DSP. Must the amplifier be an DSP version? So far i found some amplifiers they use with the LFE. But i am not sure if its with an home-cinema set or in combination with an pc. (or with an usb connection) - Buttkicker Power Amplifier BKA1000-P (but some owners of theLFE say they get better results / quality from another brand amplifier) - Berhinger NU6000DSP (Bit overkill but maybe in future adding some more butkickers) - Crown Xti4002 -
Recently i build a new frame for my setup in combination with an base shaker plate. This plate has also mounting holes for the LFE version of Buttkicker. On the site of Buttkicker the LFE version is more for home entertainment and not mentioned in the gaming section. Is the Buttkicker LFE good for DCS or should i wait for the Buttkicker Gamer Pro?

I still haven't found one, so appreciated. You are probably right about the FFB version. In the search for a Super Taurus i found some "speculation" about the next Super Taurus. And a post on Reddit: Hopefully it will be true and be annouced soon. (probably a few days later after i found a Super Taurus 1. )

Thanks Hoss. I'm in a few FB groups for DCS, but I can't find the group you mentioned. (pm maybe ) With this search combined with some luck, I hope to find someone willing to sell their WinWing Super Taurus. I've also seen a lot of warnings about scammers. I wonder why WinWing discontinued the Super Taurus. They are certainly in demand.

Yesterday i got the Thrustmaster Viper TQS and running with your script. Thank you Slughead. Btw, is there a way to test all the leds of the Viper TQS? With the Warthog Throttle module, in the TARGET program, you could adjust and turn on/off all the leds. Reason for this question is, the button ACT/PWR is not lighting up on the Viper TQS, but ingame it is. Yet all the other buttons are working as it should.

Same here.
