  1. Well they don't work. I can hear their announcements like "taking off", "defending", "ejecting", but they don't listen to any my commands.
  2. Well the "Easy communication" option is definitelly bugged, it does exactly the opposite - when ticked everything is grey until i set correct frequency, when unticked, everythings available even with radio completelly off. I'll be filling a bug report.
  3. Ok, it looks like the mission has "Easy communication" ticked. But if i don't operate the radio, everything except the AWACS is greyed-out. It must be an issue with the missions then
  4. Ok, i'm blind, it's right there, when you click on the aircraft. But i still can't talk to them. No matter what i enter to the radio the communication option is greyed out. Not sure whether this is wrong radio setting or issue with the mission or bug in the F-16.
  5. Hello. I'm trying to learn how to properly use the radio, but i don't know how to communicate with my wingmen. In the communications menu the item "F1. Flight" is greyed out. The airfields have their frequencies written in the map view and it's also always written in the mission briefing. However communication channel for the flight is sometimes written in the briefing and sometimes not, for example in mission for F-16C "Combat Mission - Coiled Viper" it's not and i don't know how to enable communicating to my flight members.
  6. Thanks, now it works :)
  7. No, it really isn't. Strike Fighters, War Thunder, Freespace - all have it like i've described (you move mouse left camera turns left), and most importantly, Tacview has it too. Ok, i now understand that some people might like it as it is, but why not give us a choice? The worst thing is that it's not consistent with the cockpit view. If it was same in both, we could easily invert the axis, the control settings have such option. But now when you invert it for external view, it's becomes wrong for internal view, and vice versa.
  8. I'm trying to learn the F-15C from Flamming Cliffs, but when i try one of its missions (F-15C Mission - Clean Sweep), i cannot make the nav system to work. I can see the waypoints in map, but plane's nav system doesn't seem to pick them up correctly. The small arrow on HSI points to a totally different direction than where the first waypoint actually is, the range indicator is stuck and doesn't show anything meaningful, and the HUD shows waypoint 0 and points me to a wrong direction too. Moreover, pressing buttons for next waypoint or previous waypoint doesn't do anything. Am i doing something wrong? Or is it a bug?
  9. In 1st person cockpit view the view axes work normally, you move the mouse left to look left, right to look right, up to look up, scroll down to zoom out. But in 3rd person external view, all 3 axes (X,Y and zoom) are inverted, when you move left it looks right, when you scroll down it zooms in. In in the previous version, we had this workaround but since a recent patch, this doesn't work anymore. So instead of fixing the original issue, they have "fixed" our way to work around it. Why is it inverted in the first place, what's the secret genial reason behind it? Why does it behave differently than what's the standard everywhere else?
  10. Hello. I'm trying to learn the F-15C from Flamming Cliffs and i've tried the missions called "F-15C Mission - Clean Sweep". When i taxi right before the runway and wait for permission to take off, my wingman doesn't pay attention and rams me on the taxi way. AI airfield ramming.trk DxDiag.txt This issue is 100% reproducible in this mission. You just need to startup the jet and follow the F-16s on the taxi way and then stop before the runway.
  11. Well look what i found (http://www.f-16.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=53852). An F-16C with engine F110-GE-129 - aka Block 50. If you load the F-16 to the exact same weight and climb to same altitude, you get the same results. So it seems the F-16 is correct, it's rather that the other figters are overperforming.
  12. My question was not answered. People argue that this F-16 is the heaviest out of all, but the data are nowhere to be seen.
  13. Where can i find weights of the different F-16 versions? http://www.f-16.net/f-16_versions.html shows same weight for Block 30 and 50 :( I thought the biggest weight creep was between Block 15 and Block 25.
  14. Interesting thread, thank you.
  15. Allright, i suspected this to be the reason. Though this is not the ideal way to do it, that's what C:\ProgramData and C:\Users\Name\AppData are for. Other modern games use those folders to store application data. I would at least expect the installer to give me the option to choose where to put that directory.
  16. Hello. I'm new to DCS world and i just try to explore the things around. I installed DCS and downloaded my purchased modules, and then i noticed DCS occupies 2 directories next to each other in my game folder - "DCS" and "DCS World". Is this a bug or is it intentional? It's kinda inconsistent with all the other games.
  17. I'm new in DCS and this forum, but why on earth would anyone forbid posting links to sources? Providing the source of an information is an ESSENTIAL requirement for a civilized discussion and determining the truth about something. Without the links, all the discussions are just "believe it because some random people on the internet said so".
  18. Can anyone please give me a link to that manual everyone's comparing the in-game plane to?
  19. How do i calculate the weight of the F-15? What is its base weight, how much the fuel weights and how much the armament?
