  1. Throttle seems fine to me Been flying it around a lot and having a blast! I know this is random but because I got BFV to work I figured I would see if BF2 would work and it did! Did a lot or modding for EoD when they ported everything from BFV to BF2 BF2 even made an editor to help tweak and import stuff.   2. Also here's a cool picture. Just hanging out with the dude in the radio hooch listing to some Hendrix, watching the Loach get reloaded. Hats off to you Eightball, for all the detail you put into the radio hooch!
  3. Here's a blast from the past haha. Way back in 2005 I used to work on the mod team of EoD which added a lot of content to EA/Dice game Battlefield Vietnam. This is where I first fell in love with flying the Little Loach around, it was cool cuz if you survived the crash you would have to fight your way out of the jungle with your trusty CAR 15.......with VC everywhere! I just got this old game up and running the other day. Could you imagine having a game like this with the epic detail of DCS and todays first person shooters. You would never see me again I'd be locked in my computer room LOL
  4. More texture fun. Fictious Loach of the Aero Scouts "Low Life II" You know tobi, you could have the perfect mod and there will still be people whining and complaining. Thats just human nature lol. One of the things I love about this mod is how you have to use the pedals, cyclitic, and collective all at the same time in the right "sweet spot" to take off and land. People being rude and complaining, and the mod is free! OMG then don't use it delete it problem solved. I like it!!
  5. Ok I get it; I will stop trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong and face the fact that you can't set up ADF yourself in places you want. Because of no SDK. Unless the developers of this awesome mod apply for 3rd party status which I imagine would cost mega dollars. And why should they, they are kind enough to offer this epic mod for free and made it because of their passion to create this cool "little bird" and not to make money, which they would if it was an official module, which since I installed it is all I want to fly, and I got quite a few "official modules" All I can say is thanks for all your hard work, guys!!
  6. Oh, ok I understand To the guys in this thread that said they got the ADF working, do I have this set up right? When I set it up and turn on ADF compass needle just jumps 90 degrees and I get no reading on the transmission strength meter, and when I turn the ADF off needle stays pointing 90 degrees like in picture Thanks for your help

  8. So, you can't create your own beacon only the ones in the maps that you created will work? Also, why when I turn ADF to off why does my compass needle still at 90-degree position (like in the picture)? This is like the last thing I need to iron out. Mod is epic!!! Too bad dcs won't let you work out the radios cuz this would be the perfect module
  9. I got a question Does the ADF work? I'm probably setting it up wrong. I have searched this thread and it's kinda vague. In the manual it says the ADF panel doesn't function which makes sense cuz when I try to use that my compass needle goes right to 90 degrees and when you shut off ADF it stays there like in the screen shot Also not sure if I have the intercom set up right to use the ADF So, if the ADF panel (right next to fuel gauge) doesn't work how would you go about setting up ADF? In this thread I saw a few people said it does work. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help
  10. Just made new texture to try to make the generators look like US army stuff, even though I think there was never that type. At least they blend in better than the original fancy ones.

  12. Got it to work. Ground unit light spawned on a ship unit, thanks to the DML Toolbox. Very cool!

  15. Where do I download the zip file? When I go to GitHub I don't see a zip file just all the different modules, I can download each .lua separately but I just don't see the zip Sorry that you have to deal with a mentally impaired person lol
  16. Hi Cfrag, I am totally new at making maps. I know how to make a trigger zone, and I watched some of your videos, downloaded a couple of modules also the documentation. I am still lost. I don't even know where to put the .lua's (modules) so the mission editor reads them lol What I want to do is spawn a couple ground units (Generator lights) onto a ship (floating barge) The first picture where is I would like to place the generator lights, it worked because they were statics but when used as statics the lights won't work, so you have to bring them in as ground units to get the lights to work. And the mission editor won't let me put them on the barge. So, what I did is placed them on the shore to use them, but it would be a lot better if they were on the barge. How would I go about putting them on the barge? Basically, put a ground unit on a ship unit.
  17. I ended up putting 4 generator flood lights on shore and made it a full moon night. It helps a lot. I seen there was a tool called DML toolbox that sounds like I could spawn the generator lights on the float barge which would be perfect. Just gotta figure out how to use it. I will have to find the thread that talks about this. I know nothing about map making, just basic stuff. One of my problems with the DML toolbox is I don't even know where to put the .lua files so the mission editor reads them lol or what scripts I need to spawn the ground objects/lights onto the ship/barge More pics:
  18. Thanks, Rudel_chw that defiantly worked, now my only problem is editor won't let me put a ground unit on the floating dock cuz it's like a ship. It let me put a static on there but not a ground unit. In the pic I put them on shore/ground and they worked! Nice!! Thanks
  19. Is it possible to get these VPC lights to work? Would be nice for landing at night, it's pitch black on that platform at night. I tried the fix in this thread by renaming .fx files, but it didn't work.
  20. I was wrong about having to have the M30 cargo carrier. You can use Eightball's M35, but you defiantly have to have M978 HEMTT refueler or it won't work. So, I hid the M978 HEMTT in the large radio hooch. It's cool cuz you can listen to music while rearming and refueling haha (Nice touch with the music guys!)
  21. Now I see my problem. Why I couldn't refuel and rearm. I was in the cold start mission at the Olf Orote base and there are no resources there to refuel and rearm. I flew to Anderson AFB and could rearm and refuel no problem. So, I had to make a ground crew at the Olf Orote base, now I can refuel and rearm there all day long. You need to select any ground vehicle (unarmed and it can't be a static) I chose the VAP US M35 truck and make the group name "GroundCrew" then add another vehicle that has to be a refueler, I had to use the M978 HEMTT. Then add another vehicle that has to be an ammo carrier, I had to use the M30 cargo carrier. And that's all you need and you can rearm and refuel at any forward base you create. Would be nice to have Vietnam era refueler and ammo carrier haha Here is view of Ground crew I set up: And here is view in Mission editor: You have to be within the black circle for it to work Eightball you have to come out of retirement to model some Vietnam stuff like this: And maybe tobi could code one of your M35 trucks to be an ammo carrier I love flying this little Loach, after flying the Loach a lot I went back and flew the UH1 around and learning the Loach made me a better flyer in the UH1 It's funny flying the Loach around is like driving my jeep around and flying the UH1 around is like driving a Cadillac LOL This is random and off topic but here's a nose art I made for UH1 or maybe I will put it on the Loach:
  22. I love this little Loach too!! I still can't rearm though, do a complete shutdown hit the rotor brake and use the com menu click on rearm and refuel screen pops up to choose loadout, I select rockets and nothing. Even tried jettisoning pods and landed empty shut down still nothing. I must be doing something wrong. I got the manual when I first got the mod and read it over and over again Also flying around tonight I set the collective with a curve of 15. The cyclitic pitch and roll have no curve but, on both pitch, and roll I set the saturation to 85. Now I got excellent control of this little bird! Just can't rearm and I got boocoo VC to take out LOL Tobsen and Eightball you guys made an awesome mod complete with enemy forces!! So epic!! THANK YOU GUYS!!
  23. Thanks for the reply's, guys. I'm doing the mission cold start in the Maranians at the base. It's not an airport. When I try to rearm and refuel nothing happens, do I got to have the radios turned on? Also, I totally shut down the Loach but have the battery on. What axis tweak do guys have in your collective (if any). I know it's twitchy but one thing that really helped me is cyclitic. I brought the saturation down, made a big difference. Just wondering what some of you guy have your axis tune set to for the collective. Also I added tinted upper glass and gave the dude tiger stripe camo pants haha. Someone was asking if I could upload skin, but I do this down and dirty for me, the way I do it every pilot will have sunglasses and camo pants, I don't change .lua's I just load the textures.
  24. I got a question Does the radio work in single player mode, like how would you contact the tower or tell ground crew to rearm and refuel i always use easy coms for all my other modules does it work with this mod? Thanks for your help
