  1. I must say this is the best improvement yet!! I run the F-18 module and the Super Carrier, and all my stuttering has gone away!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Job guys!! Keep up the good work!! I use the Track IR and lock at 60 FPS and it stays at 60 FPS absolutely not one stutter!! All other settings maxed out!! I would always have minor stuttering. And I have tried all the fixes but always had that minor stuttering. But not anymore! Not one stutter. I use a RTX 2080 super graphics card.
  2. Well, I found the file "SU-25T_New_Template_by_danperin" in the user downloadable files. And that had everything needed to add panel lines, rivets, etc. to the SU-25. I then got the file called "Su-25T_RusAF 29M2 worn Out" in the user files. I really liked the splinter pattern camo, I removed the shark mouth and redid the numbers, cleaned some of the grime and added the bear head on the tail. Now I'm learning how to use the TV guided bombs and missiles. very fun!
  3. It won't let me connect to download template. Is there anywhere else to get the su-25 template? Maybe someone that has it could upload to DCS user files. Thanks for your help
  4. When you pick the static object and place it anywhere on the map, then you click on that object and that's where you would name the static object, just like when you click on any object in the mission editor. You can give the unit its name, like Crazy Mary, Radio Tower, or whatever you decide to name it, From the way I understand it is linked from the input you put into the Conditions menu (center box in the trigger menu) You can name the tower anything you want. If call it Crazy Mary that name will appear in the "UNIT" drop-down menu. Thats what ties it to the condition "UNIT ALIVE"
  5. Just go into static objects/buildings. I used what they called TV tower cuz it looked like a big radio antenna and call it radio antenna. Place it anywhere on your map.
  6. I found this tutorial, and it worked!! Radio Tutorial.pdf
  7. I have been flying this mission, it's pretty cool But I'm wondering how did he add radio berlin music to radio channel D. In the mission editor it says frequency 131 I like it, it's a nice touch and I would like to add that to one of my missions. How do you do that?
  8. Took the 334th FIS Pete Fernandez skin and added Cherry Bomb name, came out ok.
  9. Could not take it any more LOL had to roll it back to 2.5.6.57264
  10. I copied the files out of the zip file renamed them and put them back into the zip file. I did not delete the orginal files. Just left them in there. And then the missing texture showed up, but still floated around. One thing I did notice though. I have two installs one stable and one Open Beta. I only run the Open Beta. But I had to rename the files in the Stable version to get it work in the Open Beta version.
  11. Wow this worked too. Wish there was a helmet texture template so I could make my own visor instead of clear. I cant do it cuz I don't have the lines to tell where the uv mapping is.
  12. Man that worked Tholozor!! Clear is better than floating Thank You!
  13. To change the JHMCS visor to the HGU visor, add this to the livery's description.lua Please could you show exactly what file you are changing? I tried adding custom_args = { [509] = 1.0, } to my custom livery's description.lua and the visor still floats. This drives me crazy I can't fly a mission till I figure this out, I always go into F2 view to check out out the awesome model of pilot and F18 it looked so real, now it just looks stupid.
  14. Yeah it is strange. So get this. I made some way points for the B-17 and set it to take off from ramp. My last waypoint for it was at 15000ft just short of the French cost. Didn't know what would happen, I just wanted to follow it in my P-51. So it started itself up taxied to the runway and took off. I followed it and when it got to the cost it started lowering its altitude and I watched it land at an air strip in France, so I landed there too. It landed taxied and parked and shut its engines off. In my excitement I ****ed up my landing bent my prop and jacked my landing gear on the opposite side of the air strip. I didn't die so I popped the canopy and walked all the way across the air strip to the B-17 LOL When I got there the crew door was open so I looked inside. This was real interesting. Would be so cool to have a B-17 game that kinda played like the Microprose game also like Silent Hunter or UBoat where you could walk around the compartments, take different crew positions also walk around the plane after the bombing mission and check out how half your tail was shot and flaked off or how the whole Bombadeir plexie glass nose section was blown off with blood stains where Kowalski was sitting. And of course you would have to be able to jump from 1st to 3rd person anytime you wanted too. That would be my dream game! Pic of B-17 flying: Pic of me walking up to the open crew hatch: Looking up in the crew hatch, hi Bob LOL:
  15. I had the B-17 take off from an air base in England just to see if it would, and it did! But then I loaded it with bombs and with the weight it would need a longer runway to take off from. All the runways are a pretty much same length. Let it keep going off the runway and it started to lift but then the woods were to close and boom!!
  16. I tried the way you said Sprool and I couldn’t get them to show up in the editor, which was odd because every other module I have works the way you said. I had to follow what KIZIR_77 said and put them in my main game folder. I put the files in both my Stable version and my Open Beta version. And they work in both versions And the path had to be: DCS World\Mods\tech\WWII Units\Liveries\B-17G I also tried to create that path in my saved games folder and it still would not work. Only would work if I put them in my main game folder.
  17. I had to put the files in: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\tech\WWII Units\Liveries\B-17G To get them to work. These are the ones you want: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2793447/ KIZIR_77 Did an excellent job on these!
  18. More texture fun: The B-17G template is huge. There are 2 .psb files (which is different than a .psp .psb stands for photoshop "big") one is 2.87GB and the other is 3.14GB I'm running Photoshop CS3 and when I open it, it says many layers are corrupted and won't come in right or are just blank. Man KIZIR_77 I don't know how you matched your nose art and name between the 3 different surfaces (bottom, side, and left gunner window) the only way to do this is with trial and error or actually have the model and bring it into Photoshop 3d. I took the easy way out and jus made it work on the side surface.
  19. OMG!! These models are AWESOME!! You did an excellent job skinning these KIZIR_77 very beautiful!!
  20. Man I just downloaded Microprose B-17 the Mighty 8th from steam. I used to play this way back when. Didn’t take long everything started coming back to me (game play controls function etc.) It was a blast! Once over the channel the 2 squadrons of B-17’s met up with a squadron of P-47’s and a little bit behind was a squadron of P-38 lightings The mission didn’t take that long, in fact it was exactly like the dcs Normandy map (an out dated crappy version of it anyway LOL) The black puffs of flak were all around, 2 17’s went down a few more got heavy damage but kept on flying, most made it home, one went down in the channel. FW-190’s were attacking. It was very cool even with the crappy crappy crappy graphics. After we made it back to England went to the debriefing and not one bomb from the whole squadron hit the target, my tail gunner was killed. Went back to my office and there was a letter from the commander ripping our ass and basically saying we sucked. Oh well just another day in the Mighty Eighth. Then I had to make the mistake of going into my dcs game and checking out the B-17G model in the encyclopedia tab (when I got the WWII assets pack I downloaded all the B17 skins I could find) the latest up to date skins are AWESOME! That B-17 model is very very highly detailed it’s got an interior and crew in there (how bad ass!) such a very beautiful model!! Now I too wish dcs could make a flyable B17 Could you imagine The Mighty Eighth game play with all dcs eye candy!! Man you could sell that no problem.
  21. Yes I have noticed this bug once and a while, but now with the latest open beta update it’s a real issue with the P-51 in the Normandy map. I put a uboat off shore and also a armored column crossing a bridge. Did a lot of missions strafing the sub and blowing up the bridge. Which went really well. But every time I would watch the track view it was never even close to what really happened. Rockets were very far off and after a perfect landing it alway showed the P-51 crash into the woods or the ocean. Kinda sucks cuz that’s part of the fun watching what you did like a movie you can’t do that while concentrating on the controls and your situation.

    Had to make another one:
  24. If you got the space on your computer why not run both. Skatezilla made an awesome GUI Utility which makes it so easy to switch between open beta and stable. I just copied and pasted my main dcs folder and renamed one open beta and copied and pasted my dcs saved games folder and renamed one open beta. Then I ran Skatezillas utility and picked the two folders I renamed open beta and updated them to the open beta version. Now I have the Stable version 2.5.5 and the Open beta version 2.5.6 and can switch between them anytime I want with the Skatezilla utility. He did all the work to make it soooo easy to switch. Thanks Skate!!
