Yeah...this is fantastic Jafa! Haven't had alot of time to properly test it out but I gave it a quick tryout in singleplayer freeflight and it sounds so right

I randomly had an IC check a few weeks back on an Mi-8 roughmet texture which since hasn't reoccured which I found strange.

It seems mad to me that a game that is mostly about combat and war does not want to offend anyone with non living NPCs getting in the way dying and stuff, I mean come on they are not real! nobody is getting hurt! Crazy times we live.

As mentioned in earlier post try SGSSAA with DCS 4xMSAA and Negative LOD Bias set to CLAMP, this should eliminate any shimmering.

Got the patch, thanks ED and team
Been on Grayflag Persian Gulf for several hours, it seems to running much smoother overall and others have commented the same, switching from map to pit seems a bit snappier and scrolling and selecting client slots seems smoother too, good impressions so far

It's nice to have this finally done though.
It's quite a big deal for me really, I had a mate visit me lately and he saw this bug when I was showing DCS off and laughed out loud at it, I told him that one day it would be fixed

From what I've read on other forums the issue might be with certain displays/TVs and G-SYNC/VRR, hence why not everyone might not have this problem (I personally haven't encountered it)

I recall when this was an issue many years ago on an earlier version when I was still on the test team, it was a major PITA to fix back then lol

If my memory serves me correctly there were some plans in the early days with RAZBAM making an AV-8B+ but now I reckon that's just a dream.

You can use Nvidia Profile Inspector (the Orbmu2k one) and then in the Other section set Enable DLSS-SR Override to 1 and Override DLSS-SR presets to 0x000000A for J or 0xFFFFFFF for latest (preset K). This means you don't need to swap dlls as it will use the one from the driver.
If you want to use OVGMe then in the folder you currently keep your mods for this create a DLSSTweaks folder, and then a bin and bin-mt folder under that. Put the dlls in that folder. When you enable the mod it'll put them in the right folder, basically it overwrites stuff based on the same folder structure as the core games folders.
DLSS Swapper is also really easy for this and you can download and switch dlss versions without manually copying stuff.
If you followed that video you would have created a new registry key that turned that text (the hud overlay) on. Just remove the registry key again.

Is there a way to toggle DLSS Auto Exposure On/Off via nVidia Profile Inspector? This is a nice feature from DLSSTweaks (which I cannot currently use with DCS)
edit: nevermind I finally figured out how to get DLSSTweaks to not crash anymore.

Regarding AA I'd highly recommend using SGSSAA at 4x with DCS alongside with MSAA x4 ingame, you can toggle this easily via nVidia Profile Inspector - also make sure Negative LOD Bias is set to CLAMP (sorry AMD users I'm very out of touch with the Radeon cards and their software so I have no idea what an equivalent might be)

rtx 3060 12GB or rtx 5060 8GB for dcs?

5060 will outperform the 3060 at say, 1080p for sure but if you're aiming for higer resolutions you will be limited with that 8gb, depends on if you're aiming for monitor use or VR.
