I think I've got a 1º deadzone in my warthog now - have been reluctant to go much higher; as others here have said, I don't want to degrade sensitivity in other areas of flying. Is this something that can be solved in the TARGET software? Like a calibration or something to achieve a perfect center on the hall effect sensors? I find the autopilot on the F-16 works exactly as I expect an autopilot should. Still wondering why HSEL is nonexistent for me, deadzone or not.

I've never been able to get HSEL to work under any circumstance. Alas, all the autopilot modes seem flakey at best... often try use BALT and RALT (and I am familiar with the tip re: no stick input) and they activate maybe 30% of the time, or worse, activate with a slight descent that doesn't inspire confidence while head down working the t pod or other instruments.

Great, so I'll have less than one full pre-wife's birthday day to go crazy with the viper before I have to go back to behaving like a present, loving adult... what the heck ED!?

I just switched over to standalone from steam, and instantly gave myself a nasty headache. I'd put a lot of time into getting the various OpenVR configurations and DCS graphics settings just right, and would love to save my work (and optic nerves) by transferring them over to the new build. Is there a way to do that? Or, at very least, how does one prompt the OpenVR debug window to appear when DCS first starts up? Thanks! (Odyssey+)

This is so encouraging to hear! I've had a lot of hrs in Robinsons, and when first getting into the UH-1 module my hovering skills were about as drunken as they were the last time I flew irl. Landing on pitching decks now :)

Thanks! I am downloading now, and particularly like point #2. I think one of the reasons for originally going with Steam was the self-updating factor. I assume the DCS update tool I have currently running does the same thing, albeit one must manually launch it? More to the point: I am very excited to start learning the Viper. :)

Been meaning to ask since about 45 min after the steam store timer went to zero. I was super excited to preorder and like it seems a lot of folks on here I came up a day late and a dollar short. :doh: For reasons I can't recall now I backed myself into the steam corner with DCS. Am I correct in understanding that my steam DLC can be transferred over to standalone? What other benefits are there to the standalone route (I generally stay on the open beta).
