Overclocked to 2.8Ghz? :huh: You can easily take your i7 to 3.2Ghz without changing any voltages,just adjust your multiplier and run stability tests.You have an Extreme motherboard,take it to the sky dude! Check if your ram is running at its rated speed and timings.I have seen a lot of people getting 1600Mhz rated memory at 1066Mhz or 1333Mhz and complaining about low performances.Have a look at your bios. As BS is a heavy cpu dependant application,this could be the source of your problem. I can't see other cause...

Good tips,but it would be sad to lower settings for an X58-Extreme rig along with a 4870X2. If he can't run the game at max with an i7 while others can easily do,I'm almost sure this is a driver related issue. sshant what about other games?At what frequency your Ram is? If you're using DCSmax,just be sure affinity is set to all 8 cores. What I have seen in my life,I mean not in exhibitions ( don't ask when and where :music_whistling:): - Mi-24 MKIII's in real anti-terrorist action (rockets/cannon) - An IL-78 feeding2 SU-24Mk2 at the same time - Mig-29 and Mig-25RBsh take-off's and landings - B1-b landing (wow... :pilotfly:) The Mi-24 gun sound is scary,and I will never forget the Mig-25 engines "rocket" noise...

With such a rig you should get better framerates (look at my sig). I faced the same problem but running DCSmax along with updating Nvidia drivers with the latest version 185.50 which includes a dedicated BS SLI profile solved the issue. My fps can reach 70 sometimes,but tends to get in mid 30's when near airfields. All settings on maximum... Great experience!

I recently updated from 182.50 to 185.50 and I noticed a significant increase in my Vantage score on Vista x64 along with the EVGA SLI enhancement patch V12 that includes BS SLI profile. http://www.evga.com/articles/00463/ I haven't checked the fps but I can tell that my framerates improved a lot and the game is smoother.

Thanks Viper, I went through the FAQ before posting and read that point but is it normal that it takes 1 min for MP and some training missions only?Other features are ok.

I just installed BS today and I'm facing the following issue: Whenever I want to start some training missions,BS goes back to windows. I thought that the game was crashing,but when I checked on task manager,I found dcs.exe still running... After up to 1 min,the game will launch by itself and I can play the mission without any problems. All other features start and run normally,except for the MP. I installed DCSMax,affinity set for all the cores but still the same.... Thanks for helping

185.81 are a beta version,which I always avoid,letting others try them first. Did you run the 185.85 version? And as it is a known bug,updating drivers will not solve it,though it is advisable to run the latest drivers.

Which drivers are you using?

I just ordered BS and I'm currently browsing the forums to collect maximum info. So you have to watch also for engine failures and those things (oil pressure,temps,...)?

That was the first game I bought when I got my P4/Radeon9800SE... There was also a funny arcade mode. I really liked it,and spent a lot of time on it.
