  1. AH! Yes! That seems to work just great :) Huge thanks for that, I presume that also means I can also switch the order during steps 4 and 5 to autopilot through my waypoints in whichever order I like ? Thanks again!
  2. Oh wow ok thanks a lot guys, that would explain it then, glad I am not doing something stupid then in this case lol. Many thanks for your input.
  3. Hi guys, sorry if this has come up before but I did search and have read the flight manual on the subject a few times and I am still at a bit of a loss. Probably easiest if i reproduce the steps I am taking to demonstrate. 1: Setup a new flight plan of 4 waypoints on the Abris 2: Copy coordinates of all 4 waypoints to the PVI, WP1-WP4 3: Set DH/DT to DT 4: All 4 Autopilot channels engaged Now this is where i get stuck, if I hit the WP button on the PVI and hit waypoint 1 then engage route mode the autopilot will fly to WP1 then it will switch to Route End on the overhead lamps, I am guessing because I selected WP1 and it has completed it's task. However if I just press the WP button on the PVI without selecting a waypoint number then engage route mode the autopilot will not fly to any waypoint at all. The flight manual suggests that to fly a planned route of waypoints you should just press the WP button on the PVI (doesn't mention selecting a waypoint) then engage route mode and it should then fly to the first waypoint, make a turn 100m prior to that WP, fly to the 2nd waypoint etc. until all waypoints are completed then switch to Route End. Where might I be going wrong with this? I just want the autopilot to fly my 4 waypoints in order and disengage after waypoint 4 is completed. Big thanks for any help on this.
  4. Ahem... that would make two of us who forgot to release the parking brake then lol wasn't expecting it to be on when the mission is set to a runway start so never checked it lol, wasn't until you mentioned it and I brought up the input window and saw the big flashing "B" that I realized..must keep an eye on the lever behind the cyclic in future. Many Thanks! Also huge thanks for everybody's input especially JG14_Smil, the middle setting on DH/DT really seems to help too, didn't know it operated in another state...guess it's back to the flight manual again for me lol.
  5. Hi all, Just wanted to ask a quick question. Been practising rolling runway taxiing and also rolling takeoffs with the black shark for a large portion of today. However one thing I have noticed is just how much rudder input seems to be required to hold a straight path down the runway. My sandbox test mission is set to 0 wind on all levels and I am using the runway start setup where the shark is already powered up and sat square in the centre line of the runway. From neutral I trim forward vertically and apply collective slowly to get rolling and every single time the shark seems to want to veer to the right of the lane. Is this normal ? or is there perhaps something going on with my joystick (although it doesn't happen during flight). Also maybe stupid question but I presume there is no nose wheel steering on the shark and that it should all be done with the rudder? I attempted a rolling landing as well but the nosewheel although running straight suddenly started to rotate then snapped off. Thanks for any input on this.
  6. Thanks GGTharos will do, appreciate the reply.
  7. Many thanks for the replies both of you guys. That's a real shame to hear, I had hoped with the mods I had seen around the net for LOMAC that the support from the developers was much stronger than it is. It seems like a bit of a backwards race if it is necessary to get the blessing of the devs before being given access to the complete documentation or tools necessary to achieve the standards they are looking for. Is there any documentation at all on how the flight model is calculated ? Is it based on the physical geometry of the mesh, or an independent proxy or is it calculated in a separate fashion ? Anyway thanks again to both of you, appreciate your input.
  8. I just wanted to ask as to the possibilities/complexities of adding completely new aircraft to the game. I have seen a number of new jets but the majority seem to both replace existing units in the game and also utilize an existing cockpit from another vanilla plane. I have been modding for about 10 years on various engines, the latest being for ArmA II for which I created an F-117A Night Hawk with a fully working cockpit that could be flown %100 from the gauges/instruments which is quite un-common for the Arma series. I became frustrated with the lack of possibilities in the Arma engine (simply as it was not really created with air simulation in mind), with it lacking things such as render to texture etc. Short story I have a decent amount of mod experience and would like to try to bring the F-117A (both the external model and also its own fully working 1p cockpit for it) over to FC2. However I can't seem to find any documentation/tools/tutorials for the Lomac engine. For example where would I find a 3d exporter/converter to create lom files etc. Is there any collection of documentation/tools/tutorials/info on polycounts for the engine available anywhere ? Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: ok scratch (some) of that, I take it these are the only/latest tools for export ? : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=18234
  9. Sorry to dig this thread up but is there anywhere I can get a copy of this? All links on the first page are dead. Was hoping to be able to use this.
