  1. For path and alt/heading hold modes you need to ensure that you are in level flight, preferably trimmed for it and not pitching or banking more than a certain amount of degrees, the exact number escapes me but I think its 5 degrees (somebody will no doubt give you the correct number), if you are it will automatically kick out of autopilot the moment you turn it on. For altitude hold mode it doesn't matter, (although there probably is a limit) you can use altitude hold to put yourself into a constant bank which the autopilot will hold for you allowing you to go heads down.
  2. Oh, not sure why it's broken, you can still access the image which, although is slightly lower res, is still very legible > http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/upload/iblock/0fc/profile_chart.jpg There is also another one in this thread > http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=80843 and another here > http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69610 All the other switches on the actual throttle base are labelled so no need for an image of those. Either way once you get stuck into the tutorials in-game you will soon get a feel for what is where etc. Finally just to add the only other thing you will want to do is edit your curves on the slew control, the default ones are way too twitchy and the fact the TM warthog has that horrible mouse slew nub (my only complaint about the hotas) you will probably want to set up some curves and saturation on it to get it less sensitive. This, again, is done in DCS world. Also don't forget that there are two sets of controls for the A-10C, one set for game and one set for simulation, so make sure you are working with the correct group for the one you are flying with.
  3. Fish's guide for TrackIR is very good > For the default plug & play binding if you have TrackIR all you need to do is change the bindings on the trim hat from view control back to trim. (inside DCS world) as for the default HOTAS bindings there are several documents that show it visually quite well, this one for example > http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/599/ Special consideration to be given to the difference between long and short presses ,denoted in that visual document as . and ___
  4. The brilliant thing is you can take your hobby as seriously or not as you like, there are so many different levels of what you can do to enhance your experience from just adding a few pieces of gear up to making your own full-blown home cockpit. My personal list is below and these things have made flying (especially the A-10C) an absolute joy. 1: TM Warthog (you got one). Have nothing but good things to say about the warthog hotas. 2: TrackIR or FaceTrackNoIR or FreeTrack + Either TrackClipPro or home-made LED cap/clip. Or if FaceTrackNoIR works well for you with just facial point tracking use that. If you are not going with TrackIR then I strongly suggest picking up a PS3Eye webcam and modifying it by removing the IR filter. Whatever you end up with some kind of head tracking system over mouse or keyboard look makes any flight sim a night and day experience. I personally use a PS3Eye cam + a Natural Point Track Clip Pro and use FaceTrackNoIR with the point tracker as my head tracking system, works flawlessly and cost about $100 cheaper in total than a TrackIR system. 3: Thrustmaster Cougar MFD Pack. With or without a screen mounted behind them they really take the experience up a notch. You can either just sit them on your desk and use them "as is", or stick them to a second monitor and export the MFD displays so they show behind them, or purchase a couple of small 7 or 8 inch USB or VGA monitors to mount behind them. 4: You can also combine the MFD cougars (if mounted on a second monitor) with Helios and run a virtual 2d representation of the pit on your second monitor + exported MFD screen displays. Or you could just use Helios on it's own on a 2nd monitor allowing you to replicate many of the instruments and controls from the 3D pit. Also as HAWG63 said there are a few great apps that you could use with your Ipad to get similar additional touch-screen control.
  5. afaik its A-10C-BOARDS-TXTDAY.dds The text is in the alpha channel of that texture, for the reason you mentioned (lighting).
  6. I have the Saitek pro's, the velcro strips that come included with them are perfectly good enough to prevent any movement, even stuck to the carpet tiles I have on my floor.
  7. Defaults are Ralt+H and Rshift+H raise/lower ASP-17 glass.
  8. You can customize the level quite easily. If you set it to sim mode then turn on "game" flight model the shark handles very easily, although you will probably get into bad habbits that will be hard to break when you progress to sim flight model. You can map most of the stuff you need to your hotas for weapon employment. Navigation is pretty simple. As metheluckydonut said it's not that difficult to operate, its flying the thing properly that's the complex bit and with the game flight model you can alleviate that a bit for yourself to begin with.
  9. Ok pm sent, everything is un-bound my end so you should be able to activate and bind it to your account without any issues. :) Enjoy!
  10. Ok Hunden_Ynk it is :) Sorry Fishbreath, first person was the only way I could make it fair. Hunden_Ynk send me a PM and I will get you sorted out.
  11. I had picked up the SU-25 module a couple of weeks ago and had an absolute blast with it. Finally my curiosity for FC3 ended up being too much for me so ended up picking up a copy today and now kind of really have no need for the standalone module any more. Have already deactivated star-force for the module and will unbind it from my account and pass on the serial to the first person who replies to this thread. Hope you had as much fun with it as I did :)
  12. Confirmed, it doesn't work for me either. Although to be fair it isn't much of an issue as the 3 bottom right hand lights on front indicator panel show when the planes roll, pitch and yaw trims are at neutral so it's quite easy to reset all 3 trims to neutral yourself. Agreed though, it's in the controls, so it should work.
  13. Nice job  still struggling to get a clean run myself, you made it look very smooth. Also love the tanker decided to bank hard left on disconnect lol.
  14. Thanks man :) Yeah me too, would be a nice addition for the A10-A and F-15C.
  15. Thanks man, glad you find it useful :)

  17. If it's the same thing I think you're referring to it seems to be the LED's on the warthog throttle. Try switch them off with the TARGET GUI software and see if it stops it. If I turn mine off I have zero glitches or wobbling at all.
  18. Ah yes! No idea why I never even considered to do it with curves :S lol Managed to get it pretty much spot on in the centre now. Many thanks to both of you for your help :)
  19. Hi Thumper many thanks for replying, I presume you are referring to setting the minimum FOV to the default FOV, for example my default snap view FOV is 90 so I set the minimum FOV in server lua to 20.0000,90.0000 however that means I have to use the full travel of the slider and loose any ability to increase my FOV further, not that it's a major problem as I very rarely do it. On the flip slide to get a fov of 90 at the center detent I would have to increase my min/max to something like 20.0000,200.0000 giving me 90 at the centre point. Is this what you were referring to? It's a good enough work around if so even if it does take the full travel of the slider to go from default to zoomed in now.
  20. I currently use the fake friction axis slider on the Warthog throttle for zoom on all ED aircraft I own. One thing that I find a slight annoyance is that the centre detent on the slider does not match the "default" zoom position. I have to also bind the "default" zoom to the Hotas, which although isn't a big deal is a big of a pain. For example if you zoom in or out using it then return the slider to the notched centre position this is not the same FOV as if you then press NumPad Enter key (default zoom). Is there anything I can do to match the two so when the slider is in its centre detent it is effectively at the default zoom level ?
  21. Many thanks Falcon! After I posted I managed to find a visual layout for the 25T for the Warthog so I took that as a starting point, from your list above I think I have everything mapped now, and yes, most importantly eject :D Thanks again :)
  22. Many thanks for the help guys, just thought 3 seconds for a cycle seemed to be quite long in terms of defence after coming from the A-10C but I guess it probably isn't. Nice idea with the dual-stage, will give that a go, currently just assigned all the CM stuff to my Warthog CM hat but having it on the first stage of the trigger would be helpful. Thanks again.
  23. Just a quick question as the manual seems incredibly thin on the ground in regards to this. Is there any way to set-up countermeasure cycles in the SU-25? There is chaff dispense (insert) or flare dispense (delete) or chaff + flare dispense (Q) which is one per press of each, then CM's continuously dispense mode (L.Shift + Q) but this only seems to cycle every 3(ish) seconds. Is there any way to increase the cycle rate that they are dispensed in continuous mode and the number per cycle?
  24. Yeah Peters mod was the only one that made that possible and sadly as you noted it no longer works. Choices on what you can do about it are kind of limited, aside from having the keyboard close to you, or setting up a small keypad to do it, the best way, in my opinion, is to use voice activation. Either get yourself a copy of VAC or Voice Attack and set up the radio commands so you can trigger them all by voice. You can chain the commands together so you can issue a phrase, like "Two Engage Ground Targets With Guided Bombs At My SPI" and it will press the relevant F# key presses to produce the above. Sadly the only short fall are things like the ATC menu and JTAC as they get reorganized dynamically in-game. But you can also setup commands like "Op1" which will press the F1 key etc etc.
  25. Just want to add my thanks for this also. Just picked this up and wow this bird is fun to fly!! Great job with the standalone! Now I just need to work out how to put my TM Warthog to good use with it.
