  2. good on you diveplane, this is something that has always been missing, and will add to the real life envirorment.
  3. I am upgrading my system to asus crosshair v formular MB to use with my black edition 4 core 965, what I want to know is would there be any advantage by getting 16gb ram or just get 8 gb ram, and is 888824 ram worth getting instead of 999924 ram.I have saphire 6870 graphics. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
  4. vac-tastic I have been using your profile with V 1.2 all afternoon and have not had any problems with it so far.I hate to think how many hours you must have put into this project but you have saved a lot of people a lot of time and hassle, and made this sim so much more enjoyable and I thank you, well done.
  5. Wolfstriked, I have the x65f and I have set the pac to the D button on the throttle.
  6. throttle I assume you are talking about black shark if so try programming your stick throttle to the in game axis control collective not the throttle.also you may need to tune it in the axis tune part of the controls.
  7. A10C X65f profile This is my profile I use all the modes and modes 1 and 2 with pinkie.Hotas is pretty much like standed. I have the trackir centreing set to pinkie + num asterix, and although I now use VAC all the time I have left this profile so it can still be used for all of the radio commands. H5 stick moves the mouse, and the stick with the button press will select where you put the mouse curser, and trakir zoom is Fwheel most commands are there somewhere and if you don't like my ones the just clear it and put in your own. 8. x65f Nothing wrong with the x65f stick, stay with it,it's a great stick.
  9. I have the g930 wireless and I can't fault them,I have my trackir clipped on with the duracell power pack so I'm not tied to the desk at all.
  10. I would like to try this MP flying, can only do it between 12pm and 4pm though. Glad to see the kiwi's coming out off the woodwork though,a kiwi base would be great!
  11. I have a surggestion for you, you could try the VAC software program for as many control inputs used by your thumb as you can,by keeping your thumb relaxed it will help the problem.
  12. X65F profile Try this one A-10C.rar
  13. wireless headset and portable trackir I have just bought the g930 Logitech wireless headset and set it up with the trackir on a duracell rechargeable instant usb charger as discribed by Lawndart and it is great, thanks lawndart. Has anyone tried to shorten the wires?
  14. radio I have the F-key's set to hats + pinky eg., 3,4,5,6, in clockwise fashion when mic is open just click the appropriate switch, the hands never leave the stick easy and quick. I like the Idea of the scroll wheel though,at least it would make use of it.
  15. logitech g19 Are there any other special features that are of use to you in DCS with the G series keyboard that you wouldn't get with say the logitech wave? I do like that lcd screen though and I am looking for another keyboard.
  16. X65F To start with I havn,t used a WH stick but I have no doubt that they are as good as everyone say,s but people keep saying they are a replica to the a-10c. Ok fair enough but we fly other planes and helicopters so where is the advantage there, there is none I have veiwed the sim HQ reveiws and found them to be so biased you couldn,t give it creditabilaty. However if I had an WH I am sure I would love it. The X65F does not have all those switches spread around the throttles but it has them on the throttles where they are in easy reach and can be used without taking your hands off either throttle or stick, the stick has all the same hats and buttons as the WH or near enough and is programed the same so that it works in the same way.Of course the real difference is the force senseing before I got mine I used the saitek x52 and loved it and it was great so I do have experience with a moving joystick, for me the transition to a force sensing stick wasn,t hard I found it a challange at first but as you go along it no longer becomes an issue the are very precise and I think probably less to go wrong, and don,t let any body tell you that you can,t fly the shark with it because I can tell you it is great and very accurate in its control.I use the sst software for my programing and find it really good once you get used to it beause its so easy to try different thing out to see how they will work, one thing with the X65F is you must have rudder peddals for black shark I believe, but then if you are serious about sim flying you would have them anyway (and trackir) .Both these sticks are top units and whichever you get I'm sure you will enjoy but for me I like the saitek but then again I,m biased.
  17. X65 I've had my x65 since they first came out and have never had any problems at all. you very soon adjust to the stick and just fly, it;s great and it is brilliant in black shark and with the ss software it's easy to try different setups. In my profile it is almost identicle to the wh ...Except I have all the F1 keys programed to hats in pinkie mode so you can use them as veiw, or when mic is on they will select from the drop down menu ie., F1 wingman or whatever F key you want. here's my profile if anyone want's it. A-10C.rar
  18. this is something I tried after reading your posts.I have F1 and F2 veiws programmed onto my x65 throttle hat with a = pinky command, along side the mic hat, while I was in a radio menu I thought I'll try it and see what happens, well it works a treat. As a stand alone button its a view but when pressed when the mic switch menu is on it selects the menu ie., start--taxi to runway. the f2 view button works the same.I use it all the time now and I am going to programm others to my gear stick. The mic switch must act like a mode switch.
  19. I don,t think you can use the switches while in snap view, how I do it is while looking up at the top of the cockpit then centre the trackir then look at the radios and set them up when finished look ahead and recentre trackir and this works very well
  20. while looking up----- centre trackir now look at radios when finished recentre trackir
  21. I agree you can do everything in game and I have while it is still in beta but once I have become fully familiar with it I will opt for the sst profile because it gives more options. Just a suggestion but in my profiles I like to use the pinkie as much as possible for example speedbrakes is buttons E close and F open the same buttons are for flaps and I use pinkie. With in game programing I tend to use the clickable cockpit far more than when programed to sst not that this a bad thing infact it is probably a good thing but it just means you get distracted,at the moment I have my curser controled by the mini stick and the D button is left mousebutton and I centre the trackir with H6 right.Anyway this was just a couple of suggestions its good to here from other x65f users and get some of their ideas to try, the more the better I say
  22. wait and see what the warthog hotas is like then get the x65f its awsome.
  23. click on like this in KILLaALFs post on first page for key commands nice one KILLa
  24. this is how I do mine, plug in the x65f without a profile, open blakshark go to options and click into the saitek x65f column and the click the clear catergory then close black shark. now make your profile for blackshark in the sst profile editor and when you start up blackshark it will accept your commands without conflict, you will have to go into the axis part of options to program the commands in game for the axis commands though but that is quite easy, basiclly what you do is clear the command that is there then click add then move the axis that you are programing, for example if you are programing the collective then you will move the throttles of the x65f and the blackshark program will recognise it and then you save it. Do this with all your axis commands. I like this method because you can play around with different profiles that you make and try them out very easily.I have posted a profile on here somewhere try it out if you dont like it just change it in the sst profile editor.I should tell you I have trackir and pedals I hope this is iof some help to you.
