  2. Not a big thing. But I noticed that none of the other planes have a afterburner effect still. Is this something you are going to be able to fix.
  3. Sorry to hear of the troubles. I have been with my wife for almost 19 years. We have 2 kids. (2 girls. 16, 18. ) I work what they call a 2nd shift. Go in at 3:30pm and get off at 12:00am. unless on overtime then I work till 2:00am. The fun part of my gaming time is that I usually play games/sims on a daily basis. I dont usually go to bed until 7am. So as long as I get up around 12pm I still have time for the honey do stuff. My wife married me knowing of my gaming. I have cut back over the years but still play allot. One thing that gets her to leave me alone is I got her Pogo membership. She loves the pogo games. So she will play those until she is ready for bed while I play my sims until I am ready. She accepts my games. I am a lucky man to have a woman that respects that I need my time as well. Good Luck.

  5. I agree about clean installs. I have had A10 since beta 1 and have never patched. Always a clean full install and have not had any issues. So I don't mind doing the full install.
  6. Hi Just wondering if someone could answer a couple questions for me. 1. will the new patch add dynamic shadows to the pit like the A10? 2. I currently only have one mod installed with Blackshark right now. That is Ricardo HD pit. Will this still work after patch? I know most people say a clean install then patch and that is probably what I am going to do anyways. Was just wondering. Thanks.

  8. Thx for all the suggestions guys. I currently keep everything written down from briefing. If not or I forget something I usually will check the brief now in game with the esc key. Guess I was just wondering more about the possibilities of getting one in the future. I do not think it is a real important feature that is needed. Just one that I guess I would like to see. That was a nice feature in falcon. Had your flightplan with times. Mission brief. And of course flights and coms. Take care.
  9. Thx Toby, I already have that and use it. I was just thinking of something more ingame as a reference then something outside of the game. Its really no big deal. Probably should of put this in the wish list thread. Thanks again though for the reply.
  10. Hi, Just wondering if there is any chance in the future that we would be able to get a interactive kneeboard in pit simular to the one like in falcon. Of course we dont have a 2d pit but would it be possible. The one thing I find kind of frustrating when flying is trying to look up radio freq. for the total flight element. I know that we can preset the radio's on a ramp start. But if there was a way to take a mission log at the start of the mission and have this info automated on a kneeboard would be great. I am also aware at this time we dont even have knee's in the cockpit. Just think it would make it a little easier to have this info for when we get in the pit. I am not real efficiant yet with the radio's and would like to keep using the more difficult radio method to better learn to use it the right way. It would be nice though to have a kneeboard that can be interacted with. One page being the mission breifing. 2nd page could be all radio freq. and 3rd page could display threat info for radar symbols and threat range. Please dont take this as a rant. I love the sim. It has to be one of the best I have ever flown to date. Thanks,
  11. I think we all have been around. Just not real active since fc2. I have fc2 Along with Blackshark and a10. But I have not done any squad based gaming since lockon flamming cliffs. Been busy with life so allot of multiplayer time got put on hold. But things for me have opened up so getting back into it once again. I have still read through the forums everyday since lockon. Just to stay up to date with ED. There is no match for quality of a sim experience like ED sims. Just can't wait for another fighter as that is my true passion in sims. Hopefully one day we will be able to do f15 vs su27 in the quality of a10. Take care.

  14. Well. Installed full version latest version. Press the button under canopy open close toggle and manual release ladder. That was cool. Could not find a manual way to raise it. But when I taxied and did a take off it was up. Cool little feature.

  16. Go to your Ccc and put antialising on app controlled. When I had my crossfire set up I was tweaking my antialising and anistropic filtering. When set to low this is the same thing that happened to me. Resetting to default in the Ccc is what put it back to normal. Hope this helps.
  17. Well if you search the forum ED stated that they eventually plan on doing an apache. Don't know the exact order until this is achieved but I can not see them doing this in a non DCS environment. They have stated that the next addon is going to be a US fixed wing aircraft.
  18. I have had the saitek pro pedals now for a couple years. I think they are great. The toe brake function along with the feel is good. I have never had a issue with them and i almost have used them everyday since I got them. I have never had any pedals before this so I can not speak for others. Good luck deciding.
  19. Yes. They have a ton of different game modes online. Kind of haves a black ops kind of feel though. You get killstreaks. Got to move up on rank in order to unlock different perks and weapons. A ton of videos on YouTube. They do have some good maps. And gameplay can be fun if you got the right people.
  20. I would say yes and no. The visuals are really good. The story is as well. The only thing it is missing from the first one are the big boss battles. Otherwise I had the same type of feeling about it when playing. The story does not quit pick up were crysis wars ended and you do not really know what happened to psycho or nomad. But the new environment is amazing. Wish they could of done this as a continous map like far cry 2. It's in segments like crysis one. Also now armor is not your default suite mode. But you can now use multiple modes at the same time. There is allot of differences between the two. But I feel in the end you are still playing crysis. Can't wait for crysis 3 to see what is in store for us next. I think crytech has some big plans for the next installment but we will have to wait and see I guess. So if you liked the first one as I did I think you would like this one.
  21. Well it has been awhile since I have visited this post. So I have a update for those that have not been following this. They have released a DX11 patch for this game. It looks allot better then release version. The tesselation. They also realeased the new sand box editor as well. Seems like this is starting to shape up allot since release. There was allot of unhappy people when this came out. They compared it to console. Now it seems they are focused more on the pc version. I enjoyed the game since it was released. I have not bought any of the DLC that have been released as I am not much into the multiplayer of Crysis. The single player story was well written I feel. And the gameplay was a blast for me. I have installed the DX11 patch with the new Hires Textures. And all I can say now is it does look allot better. So just thought I would share that for you guys that have not been following. It is still just a game not a sim but it was fun.
  22. One last thing I can think of that might help you out. When I had my vector I had to adjust the light sensativity. If you do not have any windows directly behind you. And the light in the room is not to bad. Try adjusting it to the left to allow more light to the camera. This might help from getting the red. Keep in mind though. If you have allot of light in the background it will mess up. You can have the same window open that you had in your video as you adjust to see if it gives you more range of motion. I got the trackclip pro after my vector was getting wore out. And I wish I would of got it sooner. They project a ir light to the camera so no tape. Allot more range and tracks allot better IMO. Hope you get it taken care of.
  23. I just remember when I had the vector I had to wear my cap with the brim up higher. Then I would adjust the speed and smooth sliders so I would not have to move my head down that far to look down 90 degrees.
  24. Well from your video it seems fine. Looks like you are looking down to far so there is no surface for the camera to track. After all it is just reflective tape on the vector. That is why I upgraded mine to the track clip. Seems to have more range then the vector. I could be wrong but as above mentioned might want to check with support with natural point.
