Well to be honest I have not really had any issues with getting time to game with the family. This is pretty much because I work nights. Also I have been with my wife almost 19yrs. She is use to my gaming addiction:) I have a almost 18yr old daughter and a 16yr old daughter as well. No little kids anymore to deal with.LOL. So with that said. I work the 2nd shift at my shop I work at. I usally get home around midnight every day. By then my kids are in bed. My wife and I will sit and have a cup of coffee to catch up on the night as I missed out because of work. Then she off to her laptop for some pogo games and I am here. So I will pretty much have time to fly,learn or just game every day with no issues. My main type of gaming I prefer is flight simulation. I have a few hours of real flying time in a couple of different planes. Cessna 172 and a Cirrus SR 22 G3 turbo.. I do not have my private license yet but intend on finishing it up once I get the rest of my oldest daughters college tuition taken care of. LOL. I do however enjoy a good game every once in awhile. I feel my simulations are pleasure but with some work load to keep you into it. Like real world tatics. And so on. Now you have a game coming out like crysis 2. The single player story was written by a real popular Sci-Fi novelist. So I can only imagine that the story is going to be great. (please dont ask me his name as i dont remember at this time). I lost myself in crysis when it came out then again with the crysis warhead. I feel that the crytech team really have a thing going for them. They put there heart into there work and it shows. Just like Eagle Dynamics. and that is enough for me to buy it because I know it will be good. (at least for me). So enough of my chit chatting for now. I think I just typed more in this forum then I have since the ubi forums for lock on. :) Cheers.

hahaha, Yeah I know. But I have to work, I have a wife and two kids. But I will manage to make it work. But I liked the first crysis. The game actually kept me interested. If I play a shooter its usually ARMA or ARMA2. I think it is nice though to have a step back from reality once in awhile.

Well I really enjoyed the single player of the first 2 crysis games. The physics of the game are great. Shoot a tree and the tree comes down. That type of thing. I love my flight sims the most. But a good arcade shooter is not bad once in awhile. We will have to see what the multiplayer is like once it is out but it should not be to bad. Probably allot like black ops. From what I saw so far the story looks to be good and the enviorment just looks really good. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Man I was just checking the latest info on this and just saw this trailer. Probably one of the coolist looking game trailers I have seen in a long time. But the physics in this game look to be amazing. I know its not related to flight but its looking good. I actually pre-ordered it. HAHAHA. Ahh you beat me to it EthereaIN.. I was typing reply from my iphone. LOL. Anyways what he said I feel is the best way to learn as well. You can also check youtube and the training section of the sim. Its still not complete but it will help get you started.

Hello and welcome to the forum. First of all track ir works in beta 4 for 64bit. You will need to download the 64bit trackir client from natural point. Second if you go to your install directory you will find a folder that says docs. In there you should see the manual in PDF format. If you have further questions feel free to ask.

Yup new that already as well. I have had the beta since was available. I figured the teams primary focus is to get A10 finished then worry about Nevada. So I guess what I should of asked is. At this moment in time is there currently anybody at ED working on Nevada and if so is there any updates on the progress that is being made on it or is it on a complete stand still while resources are being uses to finish A10? Yes I had the same problem. As stated above you need to run tir and sim under admin. Or disable user account to have it work right.

I am aware that there will be no release until final release but I was wondering about it's current status. That's all. Thanks for the reply mower.

Well if I remember from back when lock on came out. Once you have passedthe boundaries of the map you where just flying over none detailed terrain no elevated hills. Just a flat no texture type of world until you turned around and headed back.

Well my system seems to run a10 really well with beta 4. I have all the settings cranked up along with HDR and bushes. My CPU is overclocked to 3.2 from 2.66. Socket 775.

I have a saitek x52 non pro and have had it for over a year with no problems. I upgraded from a x45 that I used for 3 years. Will keep this stick till it dies.

Here are some that I took with A10c. None are edited.

you can not get a AMD processer for a Intel board. You need to stick with a Socket 775.

forgot to mention when you go back out of game go to the performance tab on the task manager to check where everything is.

if you really want to know what you bottelneck is do some test. Press ctrl alt del. and then bring up your task manager. After it is up minimize it and then fire up dcs. After flying dcs for a few minutes close out dcs and go back to task manager and see what was maxed out. Like CPU or MEM. If neither one was over 80% for each core then your bottlenect is not the cpu. You can always use MSI Afterburner as well to check out your GPU and see how it performs as well. I as well have a Socket 775. Q9400. I have it OC to 3.2ghz and my FSB up to 1600mhz. The sim runs great with my set up. Hope this helps.

well going from 2 ati hd4850 xfire to one GTX superclocked 570 boosted my performance big time. I am now able to have all on max and still get good fps. This card has literaly doubled my performance vs the xfire set up.

1920 x 1080 at 60hz 1080p with HDMI.... Only one monitor at this time.

sounds like it will be fine. it take 2 six pin connecters for the one card just might want to make sure that the psu says that it was sli ready and it should be fine. hope you get your stuff soon. I use to be a FedEx driver. So I know its a pain when there is snow.
