I should have clarified that the primary reason for "replica" is the fact that I would like to have more special purpose switches instead of a a bunch of 5 way hats. I just got CM2 throttle and while the build quality is a little better than Warthog's, I feel they just threw a bunch of 5 way hats on it and called it done. The problem with those hats is that at times you can activate wrong position, depending on how your hand fits. Also, the two 5 way hats that are position on the side (by your thumb) are too close together and feel identical. I often can't distinguish, without looking, which hat I am using. Also, and more importantly, things like the speed brake switch (momentary out, latched in), F-16 DGFT switch and other special switches aren't there, so I am left trying to use a 5 way hat as a rocker switch, etc...

That's not the case anymore. You can transfer modules from Steam to ED (there is also official documentation). I think part of the reason is I am confused about the Interface and the proper workflows on how to use it. I was able to get the Hornet module showing up. However, when I try to install a bunch of modules at once, I get the "Searching for already downloaded files..." dialog that is up for a long time (over 10 minutes for some modules, but others appear to install correctly).

I originally purchased all of my DCS planes/modules on steam. Today I connected and imported steam licenses in ED account. Then I created a new profile in DCS Updater for an older (2.5.6.45915) version. I was able to run the updater and start DCS. However, none of the modules show up even though I am logged in. How do I get to see all my modules?

Is it possible to rollback to an immediately previous/arbitrary open beta version when using Steam?

Even when looking straight in the cockpit view, with JHMCS on, it displays a second TD box making it very distracting/disorienting, especially in dogfights. Is there a way to make JHMCS behave more like in the Viper or to tune something up so that when looking through the hud, the JHMCS no longer displays Target designation/aiming symbology?

Definitely interested. Also would love the option to buy throttle separately.

Besides Thrustmaster and WinWing are there any other manufacturers that produce throttles that are closely based on modern jets and ideally available to purchase now.

Thank you all. I am also track ir user. Will give it a go and practice more. I should theoretically have enough real estate, now that I am using 55" 4k TV.

I find not using MPCD that much - primarily relying on the two DDI. The primary reason is its location at the bottom and the fact that I only have 2 Warthog MFDs. I find the easiest way to see it is in the HUD only view (ALT F1) or when I zoom and look down in the cockpit. Otherwise, it takes a while to look at it and I have to hide the stick. What do others do? I would also love to read about real pilot's experience with lower mounted displays.

Thank you all for your help. It turned out I needed to adjust my nvidia/DCS settings as follows: Nvidia CP: Max Frame Limit: 60fps Monitor Technology: Fixed Refresh Preferred refresh rate: Highest Available Vertical Sync: Fast DCS: Turn off vsync And I agree - once you got big screen, you never go small!!! -

I will try to get a video later on. My exact TV model wasn't listed, but I think it's around 20ms of input lag. -
DCS on 55" 4k TV - performance tips

Not quite. I mean that I can see the screen being redrawn one horizontal band at a time. The top third is being redrawn followed by middle then by the bottom third. The image doesn't "tear". -

samsung un55mu630df. I think cables are a good area to look at, as I am using some oldish monoprice cables that was going through a 90degree adapter. I am going to try bypassing the adapter first and then probably order some new cables. -

DCS on 55" 4k TV - performance tips

By "banding" I mean the noticable redrawing of the screen while moving the view (via track ir) around. I can see see the screen redraw happen in layers. Do others that use TVs for DCS have this issue? This is at 60hz, 4k. -
I just tried hooking up DCS to a 55" Samsung TV. The TV's max refresh is 60HZ and according to DCS I am getting 35-70FPS depending on the action, etc... However, a major annoyance is the banding - for lack of better term - similar to what one gets with VSYNC OFF. Is there a way to mitigate it through settings? DCS plays beautifully on my 34" (120hz, 3440x1440) and 44" (144hz, 3440x1220) monitors, but no so much on the TV. I am running GTX 1080Ti.

The Harrier's LALT F1 - HUD only - view is weird when it comes to MFD's. It tries to display both MFDs on the right, with one on top of another. However, Hornet and Viper work as expected. Is there a way to fix the MFD's so the left is displayed in the left corner and the right in the right corner of the screen?

Thank you! It appears that deleting export.lua from ./Saved Games/<DCS root folder>/Scripts fixed the issue.

It appears the latest DCS patch broke Vaicom Pro. I am using the Steam version. During missions (Hornet 9x training, for example) if Vaicom is running, the comms menu will appear by itself without me pressing any PTT. If I press PTT and issue a command - the command will appear as recognized in VAICOM, but DCS will not register it.

I am using steam version (open beta) and have two folders in my saved games: DCS and DCS.openbeta. DCS.openbeta only has 'Mods' and 'Scripts' folders, while all the actual folders are in DCS. None of the folders have autoexec.cfg. Does it matter where I create this file? For now, I plan on putting it in DCS/Config/autoexec.cfg.

I am attaching the screenshot of my sound control panel. I am curious, what does the command below do? sound.channel_mask = 3

Took 2 restarts of the game to get the sound working. Attaching the log file with the sound working. dcs-sound working after 2 restarts.zip
