thankyou for correcting me, i was just using my over-simplifed knowledge of turbojet engines. :p any idea what altitude max RPM and max power meet? could you produce > max power if you used higher rpm's than normal at sea level

a few hundred HP lost is nothing compared to the HP lost from the drop in air density as altitude is increased, at 10000m for example the air density ratio is only .337, .337 *2200 = 741 available HP glhf with that much power. near the ceiling at 5km, the power available is ~ .6* 2200 = 1320 HP.

Hi, I just started playing your mission, and im having some trouble. right after im cleared hot theres only maby 2 enemy infantry max there and the infantry on the ground kills them before i can even line up for a gun run. and nothing has happened after that, is the mission bugged?

just flew the whole mission , impressive though we were never attacked through the whole flight :( edit: i know the enemy placements are random so I'll try it again another time :p

ok i setup the bands, 0-40% 40-60% and 60-100% from the guide im supposed to assign keys to the bands, so i tried assigning the shkval slew keys, i try it in game and the shkval doesn't slew at all. edit: works after updating my version of sst

i feel sort of silly asking this but im in a mission and i dont want to exit to find out :p is their a key that increases or decreases the game speed? i think i might of accidently halfed the game speed or something because everything seems to be going very slowly :pilotfly:

ive been searching the forums for this and i dont believe the question was ever answered atleast not in enough detail. so il reiterate the question, how does one set up the ministick for use as shkval slew???? how do bands work?

every time i try to play the current mission im on zugdidi defense, it locks up and stops responding right after the mission is loaded and i have unpaused the game. im playing the version of the campaign from the rar Republi_101 on DCS ver 1.01.

for the AA you should be able to see "jaggies" with AA disabled. and the lines in game should be far smoother with AA on. on my system with a Radeon HD4890, about the same power as your 275 I run 4x AA and 8x anisotropic filtering with AA and AS on: (click the images for full screen) http://img44.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=screenshot012utw.jpg with AA and AS off: http://img406.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=screenshot015g.jpg the difference is subtle but very noticeable for me. -

i was referring to the latter and thanks for linking that post, I was under the belief that we wouldn't be able to build our own "modules" or as i like to call them flyable aircraft... if i read that link correctly those 3rd party development packges or SDK's should be all that one would need to do this? are these tools even available now? that post was over a year ago.... what exactly is the hold up with getting them to the modding community? that last bit you mentioned about the EULA is very ambiguous. They mention DCS BS is licensed but not sold?? im pretty sure its lawyery talk for you cant buy a copy of the game and go sell the game as your own. as in you dont magically become the rights-holder to the IP or is it like the iphone where its against the apple eula to jailbreak your iphone but millions still do and it isn't illegal in any court to do so.

im willing to bet it would be possible if ED supplied the modding community with the tools to do the task, but the simple fact is ED wants to make aircraft for $$$ and community made aircraft would not pass their "study sim" quality. question to ED, if not the ah-64D can the community make any aircraft flyable at all or is this forbidden? i understand if you guys dont want the game turning into FSX but you should let the customers do what they want with their game after all they payed for it.
