  1. Be aware that LuaExportActivityNextEvent does not function properly when in mutliplayer when connected as a client.
  2. OK. Your taking screen grabs and it's dependent on the MFCD being in CDU repeater mode. I thought i was missing some juicy feature.
  3. How are you getting that across?
  4. It will run under Parallels on an iMac, although as has been noted I wouldn't actually want to fly it this way as FPS and graphics suck. It is fine for testing I was doing with LUA export scripts.
  5. Nope. CDU graphics and text are not available for export in any fashion and the MFD graphics can only be exported as part of your game output on a real video card.
  6. In beta 4 every device has a listen_event and listen_command function now, other wise identical to the beta 3 dump.
  7. LOL. I understand that quote.... please reference TouchPal vs Helios :)
  8. You can just have Helios publish it's UDP packets to a broadcast IP address and read them from your application and Helios.
  9. Can you share your script to dump the meta-deta? Have you checked to see if beta 4 added anything?
  10. Spartan - you have to "order" the beta to get a license key. It's free, but I need the store to track the beta.
  11. LOL... Was hoping not to have to bid against folks :)
  12. It is planned, but no specific time frame yet. Need to wrap up the initial release first.
  13. Helios does not support OC cards yet.
  14. Might want to mock up something for that throttle. It seems to high. In the real thing the top of the throttle plate is almost level with the top of your seat... not arm rest high. If you have something like a warthog it will be hard to keep your fingers on the coolie and microstick with it that high. See if you cant rig up something to see if it feels right before committing to your cuts (speaking from the guy who had to cut down his original side consoles twice.)
  15. It will be using Helios for sure both for gauge rendering as well as switch integration. This will most likely be the proving ground for PHCC or Open Cockpit integration. The entire front panel is scaled at 85% to match the Thrustmaster MFDs (4.25" screen vs 5"). The current render and plan is using two 10.4" for the MFCDS, VVI, ALT, IAS and RWR. Then an 8" panel in the pop out for the ADI and HSI. There will also be a VGA screen in the CDU meaning 5 VGA outputs just for the pit alone. We are still working out how we are going to do the rest of the gauges. We are likely going to do them as steam gauges since the panel configuration would drive us to adding 3 more VGA screens. Using the 85% scale you could place a single 24" - 27" monitor behind the front panel for all the gauges if you "tuck in" the flaps and fuel gauges to no wider than the outside edges of the MFCD. You would then need to bulk up the lower left panels for the switch backs. We dropped this due to the visuals of the panels with only the two deep panels on the lower left.
  16. It is the USB 3.0 ports as mine did the exact same thing on a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R board. Firmware update would timeout every time on the USB 3 ports. Switched to the on chip X58 usb 2 port and worked first try. This happened on both the stick and throttle.
  17. Those are just what I've tested with. Download the beta and try it out we've heard very few comments of Helios impacting frame rate on a sim.
  18. The A10 gauges will work just fine with BS and the beta has a black shark interface module in it. Helios will auto convert units so the gauges will display as labeled (feet vs meters etc). KA50 is next on the list.
  19. That looks great!!! Can't wait to see it in motion. How are you planning on interfacing it with Black Shark?
  20. Yes. You have to close the editor before you can run the profile. You have to load profiles made on a different computer into the editor and then do a "Reset Monitors" action. Once that's done you can move each panel to the monitor you want them on via the properties for the panel. Can you do me a favor and post your machine stats on the helios beta forum. You're the first person who as indicated Helios impacts FPS. Usually the fact that you expand to add the MFDs out of DCS is the FPS and no difference if Helios itself is running or not.
  21. You should close the profile editor but not exit Helios. Helios is similar to programs like MSN Messenger to truely exit it you have to right click on the system tray icon and select exit to exit the application. Once you save you create your profile in the editor save your profile. Then close the editor and right click the system tray Icon and Open the profile. You should see it on your screen then. Also please post the support questions in the Helios forums. Don't want to clutter ED's forums and it will help others in the beta.
  22. Right click on helios icon and open profile. Then select your profile. Then you can stop and start the profile from the right click menu.
  23. That is a bummer. The behavior I saw in my usb3 ports (on the motherboard btw so might try a different set of ports) was a time out error on first attempt and then memory meta data errors. As soon as I switched ports on the motherboard the updated run fine.
  24. I just ran into problems upgrading my firmware as well. I had to switch the USB ports on the motherboard to get it to work. They where hooked up in my USB3 ports I think and it seems the drivers had problems with that. Once I moved them to the other ports the upgrade went fine.
  25. I'll try and get a video up this weekend.
