  1. I'm sure it will be an improvement from your old rig. 32GB of RAM is what you should be having and that CPU you just equipped is no slouch. You should get a smoother experience than before but you are going to want to upgrade your GPU. Depending on your monitor, you should let us know what monitor resolution and refresh rate you are using, you should upgrade accordingly... 1080p = RTX 2060 Super / RX 5700 (Should be able to find in stock) 1440p = RTX 2080 Super / RX 5700XT (Should be able to find in stock) 4K = RTX 3080 / RX 6800XT (Ideal for 4K, Hard to find at the moment)
  2. So I recently bought the Huey and am having a lot of fun learning it. I figured out how to get rid of the collective and throttle indicator that is on the top left of the screen but I can't find the Crew HUD toggle on and off located on the bottom right of the screen. How do I turn off the Crew HUD? Thanks in advance!
  3. Thanks for the input, gentlemen. I do HOLD down the weapon's release switch and as the countdown comes into view before entering the piper my DSMS and TGP displays show an abort message. This doesn't happen every time so I'm unsure what I'm doing wrong but it happens enough that it is annoying.
  4. First off, let me say I'm new to the Hawg. I've learned the basics but small stuff get in the way. Sometimes when I roll in for a CCRP attack with MK82's I get "Launch Aborted" on my displays after pressing the Weapon's Release Switch. Why? Also, I forgot how to "Point Track". I use the TM Warthog HOTAS and everything is default. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. What cooler are you using? If your case supports it, an AIO cooler is probably your best option. But if you're looking to save some cash, grab a Scythe Mugen 5 air cooler. Its simple to install, affordable and it preforms well.
  6. Thanks for the warm welcome gents! Time to hop back in the Hog for more training. :joystick:
  7. I'm new to DCS but have always liked flight sims. I started out in the mid-nineties with A-10 Attack for the MAC and that was a lot of polygon fun haha. Played several other sims that weren't exactly sims like F-22 Lightning 3 and the like. Too long ago to remember all of them. Now I got myself a quality PC and just bought the A-10C with the Warthog HOTAS and TrackIR5 Pro. I dabbled with the training missions and I'm still very much learning. I can see that this will take time to learn the Warthog and all her systems but that's just part of the fun I suppose. I aim to be a regular member here as I've always been quite the nerd with not much of a life. So see you guys around! Glad to be a part of the DCS Team!
