Code Laboratories CL PS3 Eye Driver
ZQuickSilverZ posted a topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Warning for anyone trying to use a PS3 cam for OPEN TRACK. This company took my money and gave me a broken download link. The support page requires you to sign in. The sign in page has icons (that are not visible but are clickable) for various social media programs. By signing in with these services you allow Code Laboratories to monitor and manipulate your accounts, which is ridiculous. Do not buy this product because it doesn't work. This is an example of their ridiculous "authorization" to receive support. -

I am looking for an AV-8B based squadron with loose requirements. I work 4/10s so I am only available on Fri/Sat/Sun. I am also a member of a rotary squadron and that will be my primary squadron if there is a scheduling conflict. I just wanted to be upfront about that. I know very little of the AV-8B but I have been practicing with it. Right now I am training with IR mavericks with some issues but I am gaining knowledge each day I train. My purpose for joining the squad is obviously to gain instruction and feedback (as well as share instruction and feedback) regarding the Harrier but also to fly with people that appreciate the airframe and want to maximize it's potential. I really rather only fly with a squadron dedicated to this specific airframe if possible. If not just this airframe than a very large focus on it. MY SETUP I have HOTAS, head tracking, and voice communication software. I own most of the maps. If I need one and don't have it I will buy it. I own the supercarrier. Anyway I hope to hear back soon.

I have a HOTAS (VKB GF3 MCE 200mm extension, VIRPIL VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Grip and VPC WarBRD Base, VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle) and pedals (Thrustmaster TPR). Anyway I hope to hear back soon.

I appreciate your feedback. As far as the rudder pedals this was not designed to scale. It was just a concept mockup. However I appreciate you pointing out that the rudder pedals needed to be further out. I had not considered a game chair but maybe I should. The center stick is designed to where the bar the mount is attached to can actually move up and down (and back and forth) as well as vertical adjustability of the mount itself. I currently use a 50 inch 4K TV for a monitor but I am going to downgrade that to a 40 inch 4K. 50 makes it difficult to read text sometimes. I do play in VR but some of my older sims do not support VR and I find the big screen immersive. My current setup is X-55 throttle, VKB GF3 MCE with 200mm extension, VIRPIL MongoosT-50CM2 Grip with WarBRD mount (both sticks mounted using Monstertech mounts complete with mouse extension and cup holder), 2 Thrustmaster MFD's (mounted with Monstertech side mounts) with 2 Kindle 7 inch tablets for screens, Elgato Stream Deck (mounted with Monstertech top mount), Oculus Quest 2, TrackIR 4 (soon to be replaced with LetIO gyroscopic head tracker), 50 inch 4K TV (soon to be replaced with 40 inch 4K TV), TPR Rudder pedals, VIRPIL Keyboard mount, and a stand alone tablet (using Monstertech top mount sometimes 10" Kindle Fire, sometimes 10" 2021 iPad, whatever I happen to grab, for tutorials, manuals, charts and such). That is pretty much my complete setup. I currently use an office chair with wheels. I plan on adding a VIRPIL Ka50 collective.

I am glad to hear it.

This is a mock up of my new simpit design. The sticks and throttle are adjustable up/down, forward/aft. Only the left/right axis is not adjustable. The throttle quadrants are adjustable left/right, forward/aft. The collective is adjustable up/down, forward/aft. The seat is not fixed to the frame. I have not made up my mind rather I would like to attach the monitors to the frame or build a separate stand to minimize or eliminate movement and vibration being transferred to the displays. At this point my thoughts turn to arm rests (not currently modeled), with the one on the left side being fold up as to not interfere with the collective when flying helicopters, and speakers (also not currently modeled) attached to the back behind the chair. I really don't know if I am going to attach speakers because I am playing in VR more and more. I would of course play sims on flat panel from time to time but is it really worth the cost and effort to have surround sound for those titles? You will notice I do not have a keyboard. I really don't find it necessary. Between voice communication, Elegato Stream Deck, and voice control software do I really need one? I suppose I could mount a mini between the two flight sticks or off the right side arm rest. My Elgato Stream Deck is represented by the white boxes. They are attached using Monstertech topside mounts. In reality I will only have 1 Elgato Stream Deck. The right side will probably be a 10 inch tablet of some sort. The MFD's are attached using Monstertech side mounts with a 7 inch Kindle Fire behind them. At any rate I would like some feedback and suggestions. Please note this is NOT to scale. This is simply a mock up for the purpose of brainstorming design ideas. Also note the equipment used in the mockup (flight sticks, throttle, and pedals) was used for convenience and does not represent my actual equipment. However having different equipment should not impact the design.

What is selection 4 for? Lists at FM/HF but I only have 3 communication radios (1 AN/ARC-131, 2 AN/ARC-51BX, 3 AN/ARC-134, 4 ?).

Maybe you should clear category for your axis and reset the controls.

Phonetic Alphabet and Blank Airdrome cards.

This is the finalized prototype. If you have any suggestions please speak now before I go too far down the rabbit hole. -
The Su25T has a number that appears in your HUD representing waypoints for airfields. Do the rest of the aircraft in Flaming Cliffs 3 use those same numbers or are they different per aircraft?

Phonetic Alphabet and Blank Airdrome cards.
ZQuickSilverZ replied to ZQuickSilverZ's topic in DCS Modding
Here is the latest version. I got rid of the NOTES section and added the MORSE CODE for the NDB's. I thought that might be more useful. I have designed these to print 4 airfields per card. The last card will have the MORSE CODE and PHONETIC ALPHABET. Only the 2 on the right of the posted image are representative of what will be the final version (with most having 4 airfields as mentioned before). These are designed to be printed, cut, and laminated. Of course you can use them (when they are finalized) how you see fit. It will take me about a month to just do Caucasus. Sorry it will be so slow but I am having to do this in paint so it is a long process. I don't have fancy imaging software to center the text and even if I did I don't know how to use it. I would appreciate if some of you could print this out to see if you think it is legible. I would also appreciate any suggestions. These will be approx 3 1/4" by 5" per card when printed. -

Thank you. I appreciate the comment. When I name the airfield I am also going to put the Su25T airfield code on it as part of the nomenclature. -
This airport has 2 sets of NDB's with the same frequency but different Morse Code designators. How does that work?

I would like to ask if someone would be so kind as to convert this to PDF for me. I would like the text to be Calibri size 12 and the text to center with the boxes. It is very important to keep the aspect ratio (W 435, H 675 PIXELS in PAINT) and size as these were designed to be printed out as cards. I would be so appreciative if someone could help me out so I can keep these nice looking and get them done in a reasonable amount of time (paint is going to take me forever). I do plan on sharing these with the community. I have included a download link with the original JPG file. -

In case you were curious about the purpose of these, I designed these to be about the size of jumbo playing cards and to be laminated (use dry erase markers to mark coalition and take notes then wipe off when done). This allows you to pull the card for ONLY the airfields you plan on interacting with and allows you to update conditions, say if the airfield gets captured or you lose the ability to refuel. I am also going to have blanks for squadrons to use for ships and FARPS (note that says SHIPS and FARPS not S***TS and F**TS ). -
I made this using two sources from the internet. It has been resized for convenience. I hope this is not breaking copyright. Was not sure as the information itself (as far as I know) is public domain. If so feel free to delete it. I made these myself using the Airdrome cards from DCS World as templates. I am eventually going to fill them out myself and probably add things like MORSE CODE designations for instance (suggestions welcome). These are sort of a prototype. I made these in paint and they took about 3 hours as I kept making design revisions. I also have the color version that matches the game if anyone is interested. I chose this design as it is printer friendly (less ink) and high contrast for easy visibility. Here is the 4 card version.

I am unable to use Petrovich in single player. Multiplayer works fine. How do I enable it in single player?
-
Yes. I already did that. As stated I in my original posts "(and yes I did check for conflicting axis inputs)".

I cannot seem to get the sight to move. It is like the thing is locked into place. I have done the following steps as per the manual. Aux Stores Lights (not sure what this actually even does) Turned on my ASP-17VP sight. Turned ASP-17 sight to auto Made sure the weapons selector was on OFF/MSL Switched on the Weapon Safety Switch in the Pilot-Operator cockpit Verified the ATGM sight control was set to OPER Turned on Missile Power Switch Turned on the ATGM sight power and guidance unit panel Turned on the OBSERV (verified doors opened) Selected a missile. I used keyboard commands ;,./ and an axis on my joystick (and yes I did check for conflicting axis inputs). Sometimes the sight will move a bit but then it just snaps back to where it was despite what direction I bump it. Anybody else having this problem?
