Radar technology is public knowledge. Are you getting exact implementation of missile's radar and signal processing? 100% not. It is still close enough for entertaining purposes.

That one is correctly modeled in DCS, in fact twin fuel tanks are actually slightly less drag than the center tank. 3 tanks are a nightmare to fly with, yet I see so many F-15's loaded that way in the sim.
It flies just fine with 3 tanks, just remember to drop them before engaging an opponent.

You can load DSMS at any time in DCS.

I know it's early access, but can you please prioritize introducing this feature because it's critical for many people that use mouse look?
All other modules (that I own) have this feature.

Bit of a laugh to see a large Hind with bits hanging off with the callsign prefix you'd normally find on Koos with his little Cubby buzzing around Stellenbosch.
The same was true for YF-22 and YF-23. They got N numbers probably under experimental rules which would you normally see at RV-10 and similar aircraft.

Most people have probably used CSS already without even knowing it. If you've ever used the stick to make roll inputs while in BALT you've used CSS. You can use the trim hat to do the same thing, but at a fixed roll rate.
So it is basically just a mode reversion.

I don't even understand why would a fbw aircraft need CS mode. Maybe it makes sense to have it as a reversion mode.

Not really. It is what it is. You could just use Stennis - free carrier, and I believe Tomcat comes with its own carrier, but since you bought it have fun.

Somehow I always do it wrong. In DCS, it feels like hitting a wall and stopping abruptly, and then I need a lot of power.
Here on the video you can see very smooth operation. Any recommended technique?

Yea, that sounds like a good idea on paper, but if you rush to trim for on-speed AoA you end up mistrimmed for some time. Idk, I would need to try it first to decide whether I like that feature.

Pro tip: Do not believe everything you see on YT.
On a traditional stable platform without FBW, throttle has influence on AoA.
On F-18, control law allows AoA to wiggle a little bit with throttle inputs.

It's on ENG page on MFD. "STAB POS" parameter.
To enter ENG page from main menu you click on ENG button (top button on the right side of MFD).
If you are not already in main menu, click bottom middle MFD button.

I fail to understand how the math around this is not that trivial in the game. It's a basic trig with 2 triangles, like 14yo can calculate it in 2min.
