  1. While integrating the Mig-21 into my Flight Planning Tool I have noticed a difference between the manual and the values displayed in the mission editor. Small external tank Manual (page 15): 382kg fuel + 52kg tank weight= 434kg Mission Editor: 436kg Difference: 2kg Big centerline tank: Manual (page 15): 625kg fuel + 57kg tank weight = 682kg Mission Editor: 689kg Difference: 7kg My question is, is this a mistake of the manual or is the mission editor displaying a wrong value for the tanks or is the difference the weight of the rack of the tank?
  2. I personally believe that the golden years of LLTM with FC-3, when 20 pilots and more took part in it, have been gone. At these former times 90% of the pilots have had a Dutch Display Flanker Team, a JaBoG32 or a vJG71 tag plus some lone wolves. The complete vJG71 and many of the former participating pilots of the JaBoG32 aren´t active anymore or have switch to new squadrons. And those of the remaining pilots are flying now a days A-10C or KA-50 and are waiting for the F-18C and are not interested in FC-3. So, if there should be a future for the LLTM in my personal view, it can only work for me with aircraft such as the A-10C, KA-50 or in the future a F-18C, which have the same degree of simulation. Perhaps with fixed teams with 4 pilots like the falconers are doing.
  3. I´m just integrating into the Flight planning tool, beside the A-10C and KA-50, the UH-1H, P-51D and all flyable aircraft of FC-3 so that the kneeboard tool of PeterP can be suported.
  4. I think a PM is the best way because I´m not a friend of skyp.
  5. That should be no problem to integrate the Huey.I will see next week to collect all data for it.
  6. hi boris At the moment you can buy the thrustmaster joystick without the throttle. Alternate is offering the stick e.g. for 250,- €. So I think that these prices that you a referencing are only the stick . http://www.alternate.de/Thrustmaster/Thrustmaster+Hotas_Warthog_Flight_Stick_U,_Joystick/html/product/1078558/? And if you look for "more infos" they say "joystick" and not hotas. So I would call the reseller what he realy is selling. edit: http://www.thrustmaster.com/de_DE/produkte/hotas-warthog-flight-stick
  7. The base for my rotation speed calculation within the program is the takeoff airspeed chart from TO 1A-10A-1-1 (Screenshot). The correction value for rotation speed is at the moment -8 kt. So if you are looking for your actual weight and your flap setting (0° or 7°) you will get a specific takeoff speed and minus 8 knots that is the rotation speed. After testing in our squadron we decided, that 8 knots is the best correction value for the A-10C in DCS. The temperature is not taken into account for this calculation. These values for the calculation are stored in an excel-sheet called “DCSData.xls” which is read at program start.
  8. Yes, it would be nice if there would exists an interface to determine a METAR for a specific point and time like an airfield or a FARP (parameter: latitude/longitude/timestamp). But in this case you need an interface that would only work for a running mission or ED would create something that is standalone without running the mission that you can embed into a separate program. Unfortunately, the algorithm is hard-coded with some weather parameters you can set within the mission editor and I have no clue how to interact with the weather engine of the program. But perhaps someone of ED can give a hint if it is possible to determine the weather an in that case a METAR. Another way would be if ED would save the METAR for all airfields into the mission file depending of the dynamic weather condition for the mission start. That would mean round about 30 additional strings for all airfields plus FARPS. The disadvantage of this method is, that for running longer missions, 2 hours and more, you couldn´t get a valid METAR. In this case ED has to create additional METARs for later time.
  9. @alexej21 Perhaps "Aries Radio", written by towsim, is a solution for you. It suppports A-10C, P-51D, CA and FC3. The only restirction is at the moment, that you have to run DCS World in windowed mode. You can get further information in this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=104800
  11. For me it´s working fine with version 3.0.10.1 (64 bit).

  13. Hello Viper I´m missing the F-15C fuel flow bug/problem in your list which I have reported a few days ago and Kuky confirmed.
  14. There seems to be a problem with the F-15C fuel consumption. If you are flying at 1000 ft with a 90% power setting the fuel flow per engine is displaying 82 lbs/min and the digital display is showing 82000. If you watch the internal fuel display for some minutes with constant 90% power setting and flying at 1000 ft you notice that the fuel consumption is total 200 lbs/min (per engine 100 lbs/min).
  15. Flight Planning for DCS The application is intended as a tool-set to provide the mission designer / mission controller the ability to generate specific flight plans for each flight. The flight plans are populated with data from the mission file and can be edited with this tool. Thereafter the flight plan can be exported as an excel file for even further modification, printing or saving as PDF from excel. The modification can only be done with MS Excel and not with Open Office because of the VBA Scripts. This zip file contains an excel file “FlightLog.xls” which is used for the creation of flight plans. You can modify this file for your own purpose and squadron needs except of the first excel sheet. This will be used as an interface between the program and your flight-plan. Special thanks to ED for supporting us. Navigation Calculator This program includes a variety of calculation functions: Unit Conversion Course and distance calculation between two latitude/longitude points Latitude and longitude calculation from latitude/longitude point and given course/distance Dead Reckoning METAR Beaufort Scala Download: Version 1.1a (updated)
  16. This program is a windows program an will not run on smartphones or tablets. At the moment we have only implemented to export the data via Excel, but it should be no big problem to save the data for example as CSV file or another text based format if you wish to write a program for a tablet or smartphone for displaying the data. One big restriction we have at the moment is, that we can´t interpreted the dynamic weather, only static weather is implemented.
  17. Just a little teaser of our flight planning tool. With this tool it is possible to create an excel based flight plan for DCS A10-C and KA-50 by reading the mission file. What you get are weather data, loadout, weight, waypoints, course, distance etc. This tool will be released short after our GND and VAD charts and the release of this charts will be short after the next hot fix of DCS A-10C.
  18. The problem mixing A-10C, KA-50 and all other planes of FC2 is, that your workload with the A-10C and KA-50 is much higher than flying planes in FC2. Furthermore one of my biggest problems with FC2 is the comparability between the planes and the points you can gather within a mission. Some pilots flying only one or two types of planes like fighters and the other one has no problem flying all types like Blackshark.
  19. My personal opinion: @ Liger Zero: I think it is too early to calculate any number of participants for the next event at the moment. There are always persons saying I don´t want to be there for the next time because they are doing it not in my way and I believe that you have noticed, that some other squadrons haven´t participated with so many pilots this year as the last years like the vJG71 or the JaBoG32. A few years ago there have been 20 pilots and there are many pilots who don´t like air race, gun fight with external views or aerobatic. They want it in a realistic way. If the decision will be that DCS with A-10C and Blackshark is the simulation that will be flown, there will be other pilots there. And by the way you are able to fly FC2 in the Free Flight Section if you wish.
  20. Hi I have a question concerning the following lua entries within the world.lua in FC2: MissionDate = { Year = 2009, Month = 6, Day = 01 } ChangeDateBySeason = false -- if true then changes the month only to fit on the season Does it mean the day offset start at 1. June 2009 and not July?
  21. For clarification, the race should have been between Khersones and Kerch. Some pilots have made a T&G in Kerch and went back to Khersones. That wasn´t requested.

  23. Thanks Yoda! I have just tested the new export.lua and it seems to work now with no restrictions for external export scripts.
