  1. Thanks Bud, the series of tutorial s you put up there are what broke me through the barrier of dabbling in DCS to actually gaining proficiency in some of the aspects. I still refer to the videos from time to time - most recently within the last month come to think! Sent from my ONEPLUS A3010 using Tapatalk
  2. Falcon BMS seems to have a good solution to this called "smart scaling". It draws distant aircraft slightly larger to better match the resolution of a human eye IRL. Not so much that you notice though.
  3. You are absolutely right. I was under the impression that it is the viewing angle on the dial itself that makes it look like it is tuned to a higher frequency. I was finding that 477 (Kutaisi?) was spot on 500. I haven't tried repositioning my view to look directly down on the ADF console but maybe a snap view set up might help? Finicky to tune, that is for sure!
  4. EPIC! Thanks for sharing Chazz - Been dabbling with creating vids myself to try to persuade some of my comrades to join me in FC2 and I appreciate that these must have taken you ages to put together! Which artist did you pick for the music on "Interupt" (probably my favorite) - I have to hear more! Cheers!
  5. Visi, Yes, that is the version that I've been using (as I don't really use RivaTuner) but I did find that "global" settings were causing conflicts with other programs. Also, I'm pretty sure that "simulator.exe" is the application that you want to create a profile for. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong but I think that "Launcher.exe" is the OpenGL menu and mission editor part.
  6. Thanks for the suggestions Lava, have done so but I when you get <10fps its get tough to understand what (if any) action your button mashing is causing! I'll take your advise and institute some LOOOOOOOOONG lead-ins to target! I can learn to live with that. Either that or settle for lower resolutions - last resort. :( (NOOOOOO!) I'll be the first to admit that co-ordination isn't my strongest suit however as anyone who's seen the Buddha fly will attest.
  7. Same issue here... Hardly a gamekilling problem or anything but a bit dissapointing as I thought my system whould be able to handle it. i7 920, Ati5770, 6GbRam and grotty ol' vista 64 Have been trying the zoom trick but naturally in the heat of battle I'm always forgetting and jamming up my framerates <GAAARRGH!> Panic then sets in and I am slamming keys and joystick bindings in a frenzy before plowing 10 meters into a hillside. I'm sure we've all done it (hopefully). Good value on the replay tho :) My only other suggestion is to pitch down to make sure you're target is in the centre of your sights before you uncage shkval. No/minimal slewing for me seems to help a little. When/if a solution is found, the Su-25T will be sublime.
  8. Mwell, just a word of caution on the X52 pro from my corner... I bought mine online last year and about 1 month after first getting it the mouse-stick started to "drift" of its own accord. The only workaround was to disable the mouse part of the stick entirely (which is no solution at all, really). Purchased online from a company in Australia which has now vanished so no luck with returning the sucker either >:( Whilst its a good stick all round the sliders and rotaries all "jitter" and for the life of me I can't figure out how to average or smooth their signals rendering them useless for bindings requiring any precision. That being said I can't really comment on other sticks having never tried any other that some very average microsoft varieties. Good luck with your decision! Meh. -BuddhaOnP
  9. Whoa! Nicely done! - What kind of microprocessor are you using?? Is this going to be part of a monster pit build?
