  1. Have now tried 5800x3d for couple of hours in single player. Have not run any benchmark test. But with my setup in VR, I notice a small difference. Will try more in some typical multiplayer mission I usually fly, in the future. In VR, I experience DCS as a GPU bound game. Most value for this new processor we will first get with the next generation of GPUs, which will come around September. Both Nvidea and AMD look like they will roughly double the GPU power. From 5800x to 5800x3d, HP reverb G2, 32GB CL16, 6900XT, NVMe M2 As usual and under testing, I have Motion vector on, in WMR, and AMD FSR(FidelityFX Super Resolution) mode.
  2. I can`t login to Blueflag today with out DCS crashing(have tried 5-6 times). I have play in Blueflag all week with out any DCS crash. Is it something with the last update?
  3. Is the AOA on the hud offset in the F 16? After one off the last updates, the tail keep hitting the runway when the huds AOA shows an angel of 11 or 12..
  4. Do you get black screens in 60 Hz. I did not get black screens when I lower the frequency to 60 Hz, in Win controlpanel/Mixed reality. It hurt in the eyes to play at 60 Hz. But I could play multiplayer once again.. I have order a new cable, just as an backup.. I do not want to touch the socket/cabel again before i get the new..
  5. After struggling with black screen that came after the headset got a proper operating temperature(after 5 - 10 minutes of use), and which lasted a total of 2 to 30 seconds. Have I tried everything on this thread, and dozens outside this forum. After several days I managed to fix my black screen issue(and no, this is not the previous volume issue). After trying: Different USB 3.0 ports Changed the order of the USB connectors on the motherboard. Different reinstallations of different versions of GPU and USB drivers. Win updates. New cable strips on the headset. Stretched the cable and made sure there was no damage and that there were no coils after laying it from me. Fireware updates of the headset. Different chipset versions. And much more..... I solved the problem, after removing the cable that is plugged into the headset itself (make sure that the power supply is not connected), and reconnected it .. Suspect that the fault is in the actual socket that goes into the headset. Maybe moisture has settled there, or the contact wears out with time and all movements and leads to a bad contact point, in a way so that the headset gets too little power through the contact surface of the pin. Maybe this is the same problem you guys are struggling with....
  6. Shifting issue with the G2 is casused when you have an reflective surface(such as an glass of water) near or in fron nof the headset. Odely this just happens in DCS..
  7. Yeah.. I tried this, and went from 45 FPS to 30 FPS in VR. And now I can`t go back to 45 FPS by disabling D11 force mode. DCS repair, reinstalling WMR, GPU driver or SteamVR did`t work either. My new system: Asus rog strix X570 F, 5800X, 6900XT, 32 RAM CL16, HP Reverb G2. I have better FPS on my old system. I9 9900k and RTX 3080
  8. Samme issues in VR with HP Reverb G2. This also happend with sun glory.
  9. I have a DELL Precision 7520 laptop that I do not use. Will this be suitable for running a DCS 24/7 server? Specifications: - Intel Xeon E3-1545M v5 (Quad Xeon 2.90GHz, 3.80GHz Turbo, Cache 8MB, TDP 45W, w / Iris Pro Graphics, 4 core -16 threads, ) - 16GB, 2x8GB, DDR4 2400MHz Non-ECC SDRAM - M.2 512GB PCIe Class 40 SSD - NVIDIA Quadro M2200 w/4GB GDDR5 - Windows 10 Pro - Connected to a DELL E-Port Pluss docking station Internet connection: - Download 148,7 Mb/s average speed - Upload 150,3 Mb/s average speed - Average latency 6,98 ms - Location Oslo, Norway I calculate that it will use about 110 W per hour. 110 x 24 hours x 31 days = 81840 W or 82 kWh per month. It is approx. $ 8 each month. And because there is a lot of web streaming in the house, many users, one option might be to upgrade the line to 300Mbps/300Mbps. The upgrade price is about $ 17 more a month. Total cost for the server will be $ 25. Much cheaper than a dedicated hosting server. How many players and how heavy missions can I expect this setup will work for?
