  1. Step one: October 2012 - Invest original $40 stashed away to buy DCS: UH-1. Step two: Wait an eternity for product to be released. Step three: (Sometime in the distant future) Take return on investment from original $40 and buy Step four: Wait some more posts about the module coming out "soon".
  2. Quoth the raven.
  3. If I had to guess, the legal issues are between Belsimtek and ED, not Belsimtek and Bell Helicopters. I still have no clue on why the developers are leaving us in the though. TL;DR Shut up and take my money.
  4. For those who don't know exactly what mast bumping is, check this out. Actually, from 6:00 - 7:30 should do it. Click for youtube video. The key thing to remember is that the fuselage isn't really 'flying', it's just hanging underneath the rotor system (which is doing all the work). So if you (and your fuselage) are in low/zero G, the rotor system is just cruising along doing it's own thing until the load (you) is replaced by returning to ~1G.
  5. Battery, inverter, get on the starter, throttle, off the starter, governor. That's about it for the 205. It's phase 2, or as it's more commonly known "flying without dying" that's the tough part.
  6. Just cruising around the airspace with my buddy. Lots of bad decision making and poor airmanship.
  7. Thanks. I didn't have any wind set up, but the carrier was booking along at 20 kts.
  8. I'm still having issues with the carrier pushing my aircraft along. I'm going to try and test it again with the carrier stopped and a bit of a headwind.
  9. As a former bell medium pilot I'm very much looking forward to this.
  10. Having some trouble with BBC code today. Sorry about the link.
  11. I'm ecstatic that the air to air refueling is working better for MP games now. That was my only gripe with the current build, aside from the microstutters. Keep up the good work, and hats of to the testing team for being so thorough. It's much appreciated.
  12. You're not the only one. It's pretty obvious that there's a bright future for ED and us hardcore simmers as well.
  13. Agreed, 1.1.0.7 has been good to me. Looking forward to some of the fixes coming with .8
  14. A few I've been using as desktop wallpapers.
  15. End of 2011? What happened to "when it's done, it's done". Oh yeah. 1.1.0.6.
  16. The learning curve is pretty steep right off the bat, but it'll click soon and all the pieces will fall into place. Don't give up.
  17. Does pressing the take off trim switch actually adjust the trim from the default position on a cold start? I have yet to notice a difference, so I usually omit this step in the start up procedure.
  18. The custom setting usually works for me. Can you post the mission file?
  19. Autopilot is only good for straight and level (ALT HDG), Altitude hold where you can maintain a certain degree of bank, but will remain at a constant altitude (ALT) and Path mode, which will allow you to hold wings level, but at a constant pitch (nose up or nose down. PATH mode). There is no waypoint following mode, speed control, etc.
  20. The thought of rolling the dice with another patch makes me nervous...
  21. Cool, I didn't know that. Another time-saver in the cockpit is always nice.
  22. You should be fine. Just make sure you have the N in there and that you're clicking the proper OSB. The OSBs look a little offset, so it's easy to miss sometimes. Good luck.
  23. Just enter the Lat Long into the CDU as a waypoint and switch from L/L to UTM. Let the 'hawg do the math for you. It doesn't just kill thanks people! It does MATH!
