  1. Finally, now, using an Open Port Check Tool all three ports are visible 10308, 8088 and 5002 ... progress.
  2. Well ... we definitely got closer ... I put the autoexec.cfg in the SavedGames/DCS.openbeta_server/Config and now the Local Web GUI launches and allows me to enter a list of missions but when I press Start or Restart the new message is "Server offline" ... "Error starting server". Sigh ... sooner or later we'll whip this bull into shape ... thanks for your help. CTBlankenship
  3. Ah ... sounds like we might be getting somewhere ... unfortunately you have me at a disadvantage: 1) "enter the LAN IP ... example 192.168.1.1" where do I enter it? 2) where is the autoexec.cfg? ... this one is vaguely familiar Sorry to annoy you and thank you so much for helping out.
  4. Thanks for your reply ... yes, I opened both TCP and UDP. And I have installed it on two machines, the first on a machine that didn't have any form of DCS on it. This is the machine that worked the first time but after an hour failed with the "Server not responding ..." error. The second machine I installed it on was my DCS Client machine and it failed immediately.
  5. Yea ... I know ... I open the Index.html file in E:\Eagle Dynamics\DCSWorldServer\WebGUI subdirectory with Chrome but to no avail. I still get the same error message. It is odd since the first time I installed the Open Beta Server everything was working well, then, about an hour later, disaster struck and I've been stuck in this hole ever since ... go figure. As for Windows Firewall it is not applicable since it has been disabled by Norton 360 ... at least when I go to mess with its settings that is what the configuration says. I tend to agree with it since I have 5002 working for SRS and I simply did the exact same thing with 8088 and 10308. I hate to give up on things but I'm getting close. Thank you for your reply ...
  6. Update: I just installed DCS Server (2.5) and the same problem exists. The problem must reside on my side but I'm having a Devil of a time finding out what it is.
  7. Howdy, I'm going absolutely crazy ... I've installed DCS Open Beta server multiple times now and the Web GUI always says "Server not responding ...". The FIRST time I installed it (on a clean machine that never had DCS on it) the GUI worked and found the server. Forever after that I got the dreaded "Server not responding ..." error. I know that there are many people hosting a server for open beta release but for the life of me I cannot get it to work. I've port forwarded 5002, 8088 and 10308 on my Netgear router and I've opened these ports in Norton 360. I know that the ports are open since my DCS-SRS Version 1.8.0.2 install (5002) is working splendidly. I've tested the ports using https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and 5002 is reported to be open but 10308 and 8088 appear to be closed. After much research I found out that this is not necessarily a good indication of an open port because there has to be a service running behind that port for the port to show up as enabled. Since there are no services running on these ports yet it is not surprising the utility is showing those ports to be closed. Just as a test I'm downloading the DCS Server (stable version) to see if the problem only resides in the beta. However, this is not an option because all of my buddies relying on this server install are running the Open Beta. Any help would be greatly appreciated. CTBlankenship
  8. Yes sir, I'm aware of that functionality but the custom load outs in the Mission Editor, once defined, do not show up in the Weapons and Fuel load out window.
  9. After pressing F8 and then F1 one comes to the Weapons and Fuel reload window. Within that window is a combo box that gives and option to load many default load outs. I need to add a custom load out to that control. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks, C. T. Blankenship
  10. The solution was quite weird. I had to set the number of displays to 1, the resolution to 5720x1200 and un-check the full screen option. It was a total fluke I found the "correct" settings. Go figure ...
  11. I have three ASUS 24" monitors being supported by a EVGA GTX 1070 SC. In Windows 10 Pro the multi-monitor setup works as expected. However, when I change the number of monitors to 3 in the System - Options dialog, DCS does not recognize the two outside monitors. instead it divides the main monitor (the one in the middle) into three parts ... effectively pushing the video intended for three monitors into one. I figured, naively, that all I was going to have to do set the number of monitors to three in DCS and I was in business. But noooooo ... Thanks, C. T. Blankenship
  12. Figured as much ... thanks
  13. Is there a way to determine the weight of the aircraft before landing ... including fuel and payload? C. T. Blankenship
  14. Ohhhh ... that was very helpful ... and good guess, I am flying the A-10/C. Thank you
  15. In the HOTAS controls menu there is a Action named HOTAS Master Mode Control Button. What does that action do? Thanks, C. T. "Chaos" Blankenship
  16. It's here!!! I got NTTR for $13.00!!!
  17. Never mind ... I found it in the CONTROL OPTIONS in the HOTAS Category named appropriately HOTAS Pinky Switch ... go figure. That fixed the problem ... Thanks again for your help, C. T.
  18. Thanks for the quick response ... seeing as how I don't have a joystick with a pinky switch (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro) is there a name for it in the CONTROL OPTIONS dialog to which I can map the functionality to a keyboard key?
  19. I've been going through the Cold and Dark startup procedure and I have two problem areas. 1. When I set the IFFCC switch to TEST the BIT test does not start. The HUD simply remains blank. I have to put it in the ON position and the HUD comes up normally. 2. The ANTI-COLLISION switch will not stay ON ... it always resets to the OFF position. This happens even when the aircraft is in the cold and dark condition (no battery power ... aircraft completely dead). Do you think it is time for a re-install of the A-10/C? Thanks, C. T. "Chaos" Blankenship
  20. I was SO wrong ... as soon as I posted this I solved my problem ... hope it will solve yours. In the Control Options -> Axis Commands I went to Throttle Both and double clicked the square that applied to my joystick. I then cycled the slider for an aft and it picked it up ... describing it as JOY_SLIDER1. Thanks for helping ME out! C. T. "Chaos" Blankenship
  21. Perfect ... thank you!
  22. In the Options -> Controls dialog when searching for "mic" four options pop up: HOTAS Mic Switch Aft HOTAS Mic Switch Down HOTAS Mic Switch Forward HOTAS Mic Switch Up Does anyone know to which radios those actions apply to? Thanks, C. T. "Chaos" Blankenship
  23. MrScott ... those machine specs are simply humiliating ... are you married LOL!!!
  24. For what its worth I'm having the same problem with a Logitech Extreme 3D ... I cannot get the throttle control (presses for and aft) to map to the throttle on the A-10C Warthog. For me this mapping works fine in MSFX but not here. Based upon you having no responses and the same for me I don't think there is a solution. I finally gave up and mapped the A key to "Throttle Both Up" and the Z key to "Throttle Both Down". It is simply stupid that the throttle controls on popular joysticks don't automatically map properly but that's just the way it is (for me anyway). This year sometime I'm going to get the TM Warthog HOTAS and some rudder pedals but right at $650 that's not an expense I'm willing to invest in a game. Sorry I could not be of greater help. 25. Hello, First off, I do not own TrackIR 5 ... unfortunately, as of this writing, Natural Point has them on backorder ... to be replenished in three weeks. So, I'm trying to create a workaround using the mouse until I can buy it. Second, what is Camera Transpose Mode (Press and Hold) do? When I'm in the cockpit of the A10/C I press and hold the mouse's Button 3 but nothing happens. Third, what I want to happen is for the view to pan around the cockpit upon pressing and holding the Mouse's Button 3. Is there a way to make this happen? My joystick (Logitech Expreme 3D Pro) has the functionality I'm trying to assign to Mouse Button 3 to the hat switch. So, does anyone know how to assign the hat switch functionality to pressing and holding down the mouse's Button 3 so that I'm able to pan around the cockpit more easily than using the hat switch? Thanks so much, C. T. "Chaos" Blankenship
