  1. Razo+r...you were absolutely correct! It's linked to Alienware's Sound app, not that I've ever touched a setting in it. Anyway, Audio Visualisation graphic is now a thing of the past. Many thanks for your help.
  2. Hi to all that responded. Nothing new is running in the background, that hasn't always been there. The graphic first appears on the main options screen (Mission, Mission Editor, Campaigns etc.) and then stays there regadless of what I do. The pattern that's produced follows the position of where the sound originates. I've disabled/quit every app that's shown in Task Manager to no avail. The history is that it was working fine, but due to lack of storage space, the latest update failed. I then transferred the entire ED folder to a new drive, and the graphic appeared when I ran DCS. I then removed the app, and deleted the entire ED folder. I then reinstalled DCS from scratch, but the graphic remains!
  3. Hi, Can anyone tell me what the circular graphic thing to the right of this photo is and, more importantly, how to get rid of it? Thanks
  4. I agree with everything said here. The whole concept of the cursor position being related to head movement and to mouse movement at the same time, seems totally illogical. It's a definite spoiler for me. As for how easy it would be to do implement the option of decoupling head movement to mouse movement, it's hard to say... but it sounds easy enough! I guess it would also require some means to recenter the cursor to where your looking in VR, or you could find yourself searching for where you last left the mouse cursor! Again, it doesn't sound like rocket science.
  5. It's a common issue. Got the same problem myself with a Vive Pro. Very annoying and destroys immersion. Easy 'fix' though, if you can stand the drop in quality. Just disable MSAA and restart DCS. See link below. I agree with Hammer1-1 on this one: forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=276635
  6. Yep, seems like we're all 'the only one' with the problem. Guppy's solution is spot-on. Some idiot in the factory is forgetting to tighten the earth strap bolt!
  7. In my experience...maybe! I had a similar setup. My mirror was also very wide (~6ft). If I used the TrackIR with the passive reflector clip (the thing that's stuck on the front of a cap), I had all sorts of issues as the TrackIR's internal LEDs were getting returned by the mirror, as my body didn't obscure it completely. The solution was to use the 'active' pro-clip so there were no false returns. Been perfect ever since. Also watch out for windows behind you during daylight hours, as this tends to screw-up both the passive and active setups.
  8. Same issue here. Flicker free VR until downloading Supercarrier this morning. The right hand side of the 'left eye' goes black when at a certain position. Totally repeatable. I'm using a Vive Pro. Graphics card is 1080 Ti. Processor i7-7700K. Disabling MSAA fixes the issue, but things look pretty grim without it. Hiking up the PD helps the image but the performance hit at 2.0 renders the sim practically useless. Looks great until something moves though!
