  2. Still loving the DCE updates! Thanks so much! The new version is causing much more night-day /day-night options, new targets for strikes , which has been needed. One question - many strike missions are being fragged ( made ) to targets that have significant anti-air units nearby. Is there anyway to make more strike/ SEAD/DEAD escort packages? I got nailed yesterday by SA-9s going after SCUDs in the PG map. and dubai international has a squadron of f-16's that should be all over those wild weasel /SEAD missions.
  3. Same for me. Mine don't make it either, all hornets fail to generate enoughlift to scape davy jones locker.

  5. PB0_CEF In the DCS manager I have this list of campaigns listed for the push-update feature. Am I missing any of them>? Or is this the list of currently supported campaigns?
  6. Got it fixed, changed the PNG file and placed in /Images and everything is good to go. Thanks again for the quick fix. Yeah Hot war in the Cold series. The concept is great and the SU-25 is a good plane, though the SU-25T would of been a bit easier with the excellent targets you have placed, but very well hidden and protected especially with no JTAC. I will try this out to bait planes over and such. I will give the campaign more runs to see any other odd behavior.

  8. I understand now. The returning flights broke the scheduling of catapults and subsequent package ATO and such. Maybe there can be an option presented to the player to choose with a disclaimer ? in ATO or whatever file you have that programmed. 1. Option for returning flights for increased immersion factor 2. Fixed returning flights for later in mission > Correct take off timings and packages etc. Thanks for the information that we can assign parking spaces. Ill check it out , I wouldn't mind setting mine up. (and perhaps add a few more planes?)
  9. If you like PB0_CEF, I can post track files of any and all mission's I've flown. The biggest accomplishment I think you guys have managed to pull off so far , is to give the illusion of an ongoing war and you are just one pilot, ( which I believe was the original intent ) if you look at the photo above, on the Hornet NG PG campaign, about half of the time, there are flights coming in to land at the start of the players mission - which provides an excellent sensation of stuff going around that doesn't concern you. I was wondering why the deck crews stopped allowing planes to hook up to the CAT , its because there was a tomcat flight coming in to land! After the cats landed, parked and despaired the deck returned to take offs. Neat shit! And its always fun to see what planes are getting ready to go, or which haven't de-spawned but are parked ' upon returning to the boat. One mission had a flight on tomcats and an E2 getting ready to leave as I came back from an hour-ish long mission. Bravo gentlemen. ***edit - suggestion : Whatever you guys did in the programming logic of the original Hornet NG for carrier plane spawning and ATO, keep that section for all the carrier missions - as it was not has hard on the hardware as one would think ( obviously each PC is different ) and gives a band-aid to single players who wish to recreate the BMS campaign flow. If you are bored and feeling feisty , if the LHA tawara supports it , perhaps the same sort of logic can be used there?
  10. Reflections on NG . 1. Mig21 -Iran/Iraq war (PG) . All flights start at Dubai Intl' and player and wingmen start normally scattered - normally player spawns opposite side of Airport. ( Maybe change to a smaller /more appropriate airbase? ) Player then needs to take off and circle/hold for 2-4 to take off which causes issues with - I . Escort missions as I haven't seen any of the attack planes start on the runway, they start in the air. So for escort missions, player struggles to get caught up to package . Also, if poerssible A/G missions should be optional for Mig21 players who want additional challenge /options/ break from interceptions and caps. 2. Falcon over PG ( Possibly other planes, like f-15, mig29 ) same as above - starts on Dubai Intl, scattered around the airport - takes time for the flight to get in the air thus messing up any packages that was created. I did notice other flights spawn at Dubai Intl, but I'd recommend changing the main starting point for the Person Gulf series of campaigns to a smaller more appropriate airbase. 3. the Su25 campaign would be excellent if there was sufficient tasking of CAP , INTERCEPT and ESCORT from the Mig19/21 squadrons . This campaign suffers from the same as when it was the "Frogfoot in Afghanistan" campaign (Nevada ) Su25 flights are assigned with no escorts and promptly get shot down from enemy flights. I noticed that the Mig21s that do spawn either circle around the airbase or escort other SU25 flights going to other mission areas leaving the player a nice fat duck to shoot down. Allied SAMS did not appear to fire near FLOT (front line of troops) ( im on mission 4 now, will keep testing ) 4. The Original Hornet over PG (NG) outside of the constant tasking of SEAD/STRIKE on endless Sam sites, had the absolute BEST immersion factor of Carrier ops. Flights spawned together with appropriate timings, takeoffs TOT and busy carriers. It forces the player to pay attention to take off times and what package and the need to mind the time so you can link with the package properly. The same with returning after the mission, due to flights spawning together and leaving , they return together again forcing the player to "marshal " working with the AI (its nowhere near BMS levels of ATC) but I did have to on several occasions Marshall myself, as there were 4 other planes working their way down the stack to land.

  12. Review update : Harrier crisis in PG- NG version : All well with loading mission, ATO generation , and such. No errors or codes detected , loaded into and out of generated mission. Great mini-conversion to extend the life of the original campaigns !
  13. Review update for Crisis in PG - Harrier LHA Very compelling update ! The ATO has been fantastic for new types of strikes for the AV8B - SEAD missions are very reasonable ( like 3-4 ) then the flow switches to logical static targets such as airbases , depots and etc then front line of troops CAS , one mission had me hitting moving convoys in a city at night near friendly troops. Incredible experience. Another one had us in the mountains finding a missile convoy. It is the pinnacle of what DCS has to offer with DCE so far. Whatever logic was used for the harrier campaign can you incorporate that into the other aircraft campaigns with AG missions? I feel it would greatly aid those who get stuck on SEAD missions that go on forever ( in the hornet Ive done 6 missions so far only SEAD as I am sort of bad at them.)
  14. I am dealing with the same issue still. In NG 20.46.93. Sometimes the hornet will get stuck as well, or if player spawns on the 6 pack and doesn't move fast enough to get out of the way before a traffic incident happens on deck. The auto downloader from the DCS worked so far , it updated the NG folder and I got the new version loaded ( though the deck problem got worse, I will test more today. )
  15. Bug report : on the new hornet in Georgia CVN ( for 2.7 ) 2nd wingman repeats bandit callouts endlessly even when 160 nm out . Experience report : 1 . mission for SEAD strikes SAM sites waited until flights were over before popping on and shooting SAMs. Maybe coincidence, maybe IADS /skynet integration? 2. ATO and general flow of Carrier life is very impressive and engaging. Multiple flights going ( and depending when you get back if you wait, you can witness them coming back ) I remember in an earlier version, flights would be scheduled late enough so when the player returns, there are new flights waiting to take off, again providing a truly dynamic war type experience. Very Falcon BMS like - Recommendation : Is there a chance to add S3 and other naval craft take off and recovery? Once ED manages to actualize AI ground crews to guide to parking, then I think Super carrier would be mostly complete. Also , more flights scheduled later , for immersion factor or the very rare player that would land and watch all the new flights do their missions anyway. ( anyone else guilty ? ) 3. AI flights are reasonably effective, completing missions with me at around 75%. The logic of waypoints to guide their behavior is working so far. 4. Recommendation : Are JTAC units programable/ possible? It would certain add a bit more interaction for longer strike/CAS flights. Also, any sort of ideas of difficulty levels?
  16. Hi Miguel and PBO I fly your campaigns exclusively as Its the best mission / campaign system in DCS to date. Its like a weird mix between falcon 4 , falcon 3 and FA-18 Korea . Is there anything in particular I need to be looking for to improve this project?
  17. F-14b does't have working radio contact with wingmen in the latest version, 2.1 I believe . SU33 A4 and SU25T all work just fine.
