the company that made it is a marketing firm specializing in new ways to advertise and promote on the web... of course no civilian will buy it alone but its just to make the public and countries aware of this new plane as its being actively purchased by countries around the world hell I just found out about it through this topic thread ;) so it's working

if anything it does give you the closest look at what a real simulator should do...nothing else compares...I got FC2 only to satisfy the jet simmer in me but it and others like Falcon come no where near the fidelity of Blackshark

its not too bad, I just ordered LockOn on Ebay for 5 bucks total...came in a less than a week and now I got FC2...though I wonder if FC2 would install without lomac...didn't seem to even ask about LockOn at all

...pretty sure its just intended to be a promo for the actual A400m in production...not an actual serious attempt at a sim or game

oh wow...I checked the weapons training video from ED and it looked surprisingly straight forward ...I tried it and it did work...that target reticle is accurate with rockets but why do you need to keep the laser on? Its sad but I discovered also that gun in manual mode fixes the sight and even gives you a shval view that could be useful for run and gun a-a fights too I would think

uh...that doesn't exactly 'put the nail in the coffin' for either one of them...all rumors with no official confirmation from any sources and FO looks to still be in heavy development... however I wouldn't hold my breath for Lead Pursuit or FO anyways... except the fact that ED is showing everyone that you can still make a profit and have a fanbase for simulators so maybe more companies will wake up...

thanks to the both of ya for the tips and advice...I'm gonna work on those and I should def create a mini mission to train...last time I did that was for basic stuff...much training still ahead...

I attempted 'On The Other Side' mission again from the deployment campaign a while ago...and I had it! until... So that mission if you recall is the one where at the last waypoint you have a valley that opens up with a base camp with armor/defenses and enemy helis and you get some air support... So basically if you wait for a bit and hide either your wingman or air support takes out the hinds...ok cool...then you still got the ground defenses... well I got those too it seems, then got the artillery then got the guys who had shoulder rockets...all seemed quiet and clear...I go in to clean up...problem is I take too long I can't control my heli too well...always do that when Im in the heat of action... all is quiet and I think to myself ok all the time in the world just start gunning everything else down...my mistake for ever leaving cover...like 10 minutes later out of nowhere my 2nd wingman goes down and then me all of a sudden...something hit us...no idea what except in the log it seems to be some sort of artillery... I was soooo close...I was an idiot to think I could just waltz in the open area. Two things: anyone do this mission already? and is it sad I can't kill anything air to air yet (mainly cause I dont control quick enough)? and (ok three things) I can't hit anything worth for sh*t with unguided rockets. would the helmet sight or something else help? The target reticle in the HUD seems to not be the indicator for aiming. Also do you just use communications to tell wingman what to attack? or is the Data Link useful to coordinate the attack basically? instead of locking onto to each thing individually and sending a comm to each wingman. On the upside I earned a medal...medal of courage... I hope to be much better at FC2 when I get lomac in the mail... downey out.

hehe...oh man F-19 Stealth Fighter...I think that was my first sim I remember watching my dad (luckily for me is a computer engineer) load it for the first time one night when I was 6 or 7 YouTube >> I played the hell out of that game, then moved on to the early Microsoft FS which frankly was a HUGE pain to figure out and fly and then Falcon 3.0 was the big one for me (I think I did have Falcon AT) I never got Fleet Defender because I felt I was betraying Spectrum Holobyte ...there was fierce competition between Microprose and SH (Microprose made Fleet Defender right?) ironic what happened later anyways HOWEVER the game that still to this day has wow'ed me the most in terms of graphics and gameplay has been EF2000 v2.0 with a Rendition or 3Dfx card the game looked BEAUTIFUL Blackshark I must say is the first simulator since EF2000 that I've been blown away by the graphics and gameplay. I must say in a similar fashion FSX has really stuck with me and I've been playing it again alot

cool so FC2 is more realistic then but the only other thing I was really dreading is how are the flight models? I know it doesn't compare to BS but how does it compare lets say a mid-range sim like FSX? the fact that you find Blackshark easier is encouraging I still can't control it mid-combat as I lose control but then again I haven't practiced too much...still stuck on Deployment where you head into a valley full of enemies that you need to take out and there are 2 hinds there as well.

NOT COOL...I have to buy a physical copy of Lomac to have it delivered...well that's a deal breaker...why not make it downloadable? legal reasons?

F22 ADF the supposed sequel to EF2k was not that great I thought...it was pretty popular in head 2 head online matches where you'd see like 10 other players ...many were quite good. which now reminds me when I used to do multiplayer X Wing Alliance...but thats really off topic now ;)

lol thanks guys for pointing out I need money...actually I'm trying to save some dough so I might just keep flying BS and fsx for a bit more...after all I did just buy track ir 5 a couple of weeks ago

yeah but I've played LockOn... and...Blackshark is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy harder than flying and fighting in lomac A good BS player I consider to be more skillful (and awesome) than a lomac player...let's REALLY be honest here chuck norris flies the blackshark

Hey folks, Downey here...been away for a few...saw FC2 ...now maybe perhaps maybe I wanna buy it...if I do what do I need? I don't have any LockOn related products... What's the quickest and cheapest way to get FC2 up and running? I still cringe at the thought of head to head multiplayer with someone flying a jet straight at your Blackshark smoking you ...let's be honest here BS players have to be a bit more skilled than Lomac players...

ah good to know! on both the vikhr use and cannon...I need to read up on in-depth cannon use...now with a lil more practice I'll hopefully fire on them before they get me and the rest of my flight ;)

ok I got no issues with ground crap...for the most part I evade crap... but air to air granted Ive only been doing it tonight starting on that altitude mission in deployment (which thanks to you guys I got over the mountain ;) whats the weapon of choice for other enemy helis? gun or do the vikhr actually get guided to a to a? I press a to a mode and forward hemisphere (no idea what that is though) on before engaging. my shkval movement is too slow trying to lock into a heli...would you use rockets too? I definitely got a missile up the tailpipe from one of them so I figure I could use missiles too any tips?

oh...I missed an anti-ice toggle? ...for the entire engine? lol Im a dumbass...I couldn't find that...I found the 2 pitot heats and rotor anti-ice

track uploaded well here it is, for anyone who cares to open it and fast forward to the part I just stand there try to get some more altitude but can see my pressure and engines failing again. I noticed when I throttle down from auto to lower (on the yellow throttle) it makes the warnings stop but the engines are still messed up and I can't get altitude... I've had the same issues with FSX and in that you have to basically play it with finesse and press a few knobs here and there while gently pushing the altimeter...very subtle but the difference between getting alot of altitude to nothing at all...obviously I have not yet mastered this in either games lol altitude.trk
