  1. I found these in Ace Hardware. "Gun screws" seemed expensive but I'll look further.
  2. "This is not a flight sim built for pit builders" really?? HELIOS is outstanding, I bought it before it went freeware, but it stopped being developed 2 years ago all i asked was if there was any info on anything new from Ed on the gauge export side I had missed
  3. Some trimming and little tweaking to do, bezel for the flaps gauge, panel with switches for CMSP, arrestor hook lever to go in, couple of switch panels above 3rd MFCD and AHCP, hide the wiring, DO the wiring the most excellent gauge bezels were from agrasyuk here on DCS, free plug for a good guy
  4. actual progress!!! parts fitting

  15. OUTSTANDING!! Thank you
  16. In keeping with the "multi-role" pit. Sunk the Saitek TQ to be the "civie" prop and mixture levers and modified the far right lever to (roughly) resemble the F-14 manual wing sweep ctrl. told you it would be slow progress.......
  17. thanks man, its not a kneeknocker anymore....almost a pudknocker  left tub wired with a usb hub and #2 groovy game gear, just need to throw more switches at it, saitek radio panel, sink the saitek TQ so it sits lower and need to try some staple and glue upholstery for the seat
  18. A Quick car dash made of offcuts, need to make mounting brackets and clean it up, round the corners etc, good sunday morning spent with a tenon saw and a drill Cessna Trim wheel...Spitfire style positioning :D
  19. still not fully wired, but at least I'm flying :pilotfly: Running CoD with virtual gauges Used the unused monitor support to mount the control stick and the crackle paint I used on the glare shield didn't come out as i had expected, not MIL Spec but then nor is wood grain
  20. started paint, trying satin grey instead of flat grey primer and tried my hand at "weathering" with a silver ink art pen
  21. blow the dash apart to paint. print out decals/labels, wiring loom, debug. then start all over again with both side consoles. I can still see the starting line, but without your help I'd still be cutting out the pit parts from ply:thumbup:
  22. thanks man, still a ways to go
  23. First time its all been bolted together properly. Still got lot of edge clean up to go, then wiring loom, then paint.....then repeat it all again, twice, for the side consoles. My F-14 Pilot Display Ctrl Panel
