First time its all been bolted together properly. Still got lot of edge clean up to go, then wiring loom, then paint.....then repeat it all again, twice, for the side consoles. My F-14 Pilot Display Ctrl Panel

LOL! Lever pull for the drag Chute release, heavy sprung resistance lever for Spitfire Mk1 Gear Pump and already thinking what I'll do differently next time I rebuild the Dash using this as a template....

the VRinsight switch panel is just a joystick emulator, so the pots etc just show up as axis and the switches just show in game controler as joy buttons saying that its a poorly made expensive joystick emulator. most of the internal LEDs failed in the first week all by the first month, the sliders are noisy/spikey its nothing a GPwiz40/Bodnar board and 40 toggles couldn't do for 1/4 the price....but i was young and stupid

yea :) sprayed with NiteShade lens paint, need to clean up the mount for the whee....I mean Gear knob. The rubber gasket covering the Lever hole is draft excluder, Love ACE hardware

Been at it for 6 hours today and hardly looks any different :noexpression: Hook mounted, Saitek gear indicators mounted, few more switches.

pleased with the Arrestor Hook :joystick: Ally and Brass tubes have a nice action

kind of off topic - more a simpit question i plan on using the electronics from my Saitek switch panel, breaking out the LED and switch wiring to switches and LEDs built into my pit http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134745&referrerid=64885 My question is, does anyone know what LEDs I could use that i could replace the ones in the panel with, Green to Red shifting but what other specs? .....Or I could desolder and detach the originals somehow I guess

Actually took the Dash on as hand luggage so i could work on it while i'm working in PHX :pilotfly: 1/4 of left side "done" fire handles and parking brake+microswitches done. still to do. arrestor hook lever, more switches, rotary encoders, saitek switch panel electronics, wiring loom. edge routing/finishing. Paint.

Nice! ill back on mine next week. I got galvanized decking right angle brackets tying the front section together, machine screws thru the ply into T-nuts on the hidden side. looking good G

im not near my sim rig...but can you not edit an .ini file outside of the sim? and clear them out that way?

k....rly the last update, mounted the center mfd, got a rough Helios profile going with EMC for the A10 MFD's :pilotfly:

last update for few weeks. but can finally say "I'm doing a Lamp Test" of sorts:) //FoxTwo Dash ABS screen surround/mount needs trimming, and dremeling but as a test fit its good enough.

quick mock up of plywood dash with cut glare shield used this as template for the //FOXTWO dash that'll replace it, mount behind it a 22in monitor for MFD's, Six pack and Aux gauges :pain:....nerve racking cutting it out with a jigsaw

finished the side detail greebles, cut the glare shield to fit a center touchscreen to be the master caution and UFC or center MFD as needed....and test fitted my Martin Baker style ejection handles...:smartass:

and as a tribute to Gen Chuck Yeager and the Bell X1 the Broom that gave up its handle for my seat support. Wish the Tach could be used...

This will be a drawn out build thread and so far all I've done is nail together what Jedi designed and GeneB cutout, but i got plans for this pit. :music_whistling:
