  1. finalising my 3DP panel design/construction process :pilotfly:
  2. its softer, less crisp than CNC, and gets worse the deeper it is, so im keeping the front text panel at 0.5mm which stops the deep crevice effect. ill also try .25 thickness. Im printing LED sockets to get them as close to the lettering as possible.
  3. Well Batman lets Alfred
  4. First panel test print. Testing font size (needs to be bigger) and testing changing the filament midprint. Printed at medium quality and zero cleanup in the pic.
  5. So a combo of track ir and tobii would solve all those issues but would cancel each other or worse conflict in some instances I wonder how well it would work with my triple screen setup.
  6. Saitek or Helios + USB touch screen it is then :)
  7. Just saw this and wondering if its a candidate for DCS Bios. http://www.opencockpits.com/catalog/fighter-radio-black-p-394.html?language=en Special Radio module for fighters cockpits completly assembled and ready for connect to USB computer port. In black color with gray keys and completly backlit. 12 yellow led digits. Power Switch for backlit. COM,NAV,ADF, course selector and others functions fully operative. Functions VHF3, HF1, HF2, AM and MLS are not operational in the simulation software and the module either. You don't need external power source. Completly stand alone module (don't need others cards or modules). You only need to plug in the USB port (plug&play). Don't need USB driver (only use IOCPModules.exe or a Sioc's script). This module is compatible with another hardware. Compatible with FSimulator (FSX, FS2004 ...), X-Plane and others add-on (AirSimtech, Project Magenta, ...). You can connect many units at the same time. You can control the brightness of the display digits by software. All the module is backlit. The backlight is warm white. Function selector. Concentric encoder with great precision and speed. Measures: 145x85 mm.
  8. Thanks for these Cpt....can I put in an order for the F-86 next :)
  9. Thanks for the heads up Dude
  10. yea that worked KP and makes more sense
  11. ok just checked it twice this is the working line :pilotfly: {down = 3001, value_down = -1,1, up = 3001, value_up = 0.1, cockpit_device_id = 39, name = 'Landing Gear Up/Down FT', category = 'Landing gear panel'}, this is a non working version :joystick: {down = 3001, value_down = -1,1, up = 3001, value_up = 0,1, cockpit_device_id = 39, name = 'Landing Gear Up/Down FT', category = 'Landing gear panel'}, I don't know what to tell ya :music_whistling:
  12. you mean between -1 and 1 ? ...looking at it again theres a . in value_up = 0.1 that should be a , values were -1,1 and 0,1 {down = 3001, value_down = -1,1, up = 3001, value_up = 0.1, cockpit_device_id = 39, name = 'Landing Gear Up/Down FT', category = 'Landing gear panel'}, it was working, ill double check the error was in this somehow and not in game
  13. new line {down = 3001, value_down = -1,1, up = 3001, value_up = 0.1, cockpit_device_id = 39, name = 'Landing Gear Up/Down FT', category = 'Landing gear panel'}, works perfectly
  14. I'll try that method, I like the idea of it self synching
  15. I've been round the houses editing creating .luas. So as much for my memory and maybe helping someone else out. And it appears I only needed to edit One. I have one non-momentary switch actuated by a landing gear lever. Soz if this has already been explained in the thread and thanks to the OP for putting onto this. So its either on or off, but now on contact it send an up command on release it sends a down cmd. My Landing Gear Panel entry in the default.lua. with my added line in orange. --Landing gear panel {down = iCommandPlaneGear, name = _('Landing Gear Up/Down'), category = _('Landing gear panel')}, {down = iCommandPlaneGearUp, name = _('Landing Gear Up'), category = _('Landing gear panel')}, {down = iCommandPlaneGearDown, name = _('Landing Gear Down'), category = _('Landing gear panel')}, {down = iCommandEmergencyGear, name = _('Auxiliary gear handle'), category = _('Landing gear panel')}, {down = iCommandEmergencyGearCover, name = _('Auxiliary gear handle lock button'), category = _('Landing gear panel')}, {down = iCommandPlaneGearDown,up = iCommandPlaneGearUp,name = _('Landing Gear Up/Down FT'), category = _('Landing gear panel')}, The .lua I edited with the additional line. C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\MODS\aircraft\A-10C\Input\A-10C\joystick\default.lua "many brain cells were lost getting this information" Mon Mothra
  16. Not much. Just fitted air conditioning. May mount them higher to throw more light into the pit.
  17. The Wife's Away Edition Pit The Wife's Away Edition Pit. I really like the fixed canopy frame reference point and no TrackIR....but obviously need MOAR screenage. but the sense of speed with the frame rate at 1080p is frickin' amazing projectors or 3 big ass screens next then :pilotfly:
  18. Ha, yea when my credit card stops glowing
  19. Displays, usb ctrls set up. still bug fixing the gpwiz40 connections to the toggle/push switches. and at some point I'll Start on the side consoles.
  20. Paint! bit the bullet and painted the seat, came out ok, started on weathering as well Modded the front console, cut it down for speed Remounted the MIP, now it has adjustability for height and rake :pilotfly:
  21. erm......ok fingers crossed someone will take up the task
  22. its Jedis design, but i've redesigned the dash layout for a larger screen to push the MFCDs out to the corners of the dash plans are in here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=78417 https://www.google.com/search?q=jedi+a10c+cockpit&espv=2&biw=1904&bih=979&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0CB0QsARqFQoTCO2X7birjccCFUk4iAodBdgAeA
  23. So if the original A10 gauge art assets are used, as in wont match Mig15/Sabre ADI etc but will be A-10 regardless of which Airframe is in use. What does it take to export gauges, if only the main six pack, through Helios and onto a 2nd screen?
  24. yea its all based on jedis a10 pit. ive completely rebuilt/redesigned the dash (this one 3 times now) but strongly based on the a10 as those parts gene cut out are far too good to throw out and that has the most exportability with regards to gauges. it was always going to be a muil-role pit, so theres the arrestor hook lever, the two lcd touch screens and the cnter (holes at the moment) thatll be quick change switch panels if needed, but will be wings fold, CAT launch, nose strut squat etc and a flaps control where it is in a Spitfire
  25. Hey Anton, yea thats virtual War proof aint never coming apart Thanks Boltz, just a silver art pen and can always tone that back with a black sharpie
