A-10 engine shut down sound FC2.0
Funkyjazz replied to Funkyjazz's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Aaahh...now i understand why the breathing in Diveplanes soundmod mod reacts on the throttles! Thanks for the info! -
The last few frequenties of the engine shut down sound of the A-10 in FC 2.0 (last 10 sec.) reminds me of the early days while playing my old Commodore. I installed Diveplanes soundpack mod, which sounds great while up in the air, but the shut down sound seems the same as the basic sound...

Thanks for the info!!

1) Is it possible to map the L/R brake axis on my Saitek rudder for the L/R Wheel brakes? In other words: is the wheel brake in the A-10 finally analogue? 2) Are there integrated tower instructions for taxi to the runway and after landing towards the right parking area?

Problem with Warthog Throttle

Okay...never knew that! :doh:I really thought that what i saw was the actual milliampere usage from a device... Thanks for the heads up! -
Problem with Warthog Throttle
Funkyjazz replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well, its totally up to you but i would contact TM directly and claim for the RMA! You are a customer who have bought a product that went RMA within X time. Don't know what country you live in but as far as my knowledge goes, every customer has right on a non faulty product within X month. So, its strange that the dealers / sub-dealers are ignoring your mails. So i would absolutely contact TM (phone) self, calling out the (sub) dealers name and your problem. TM cant ignore your dead Throttle unit. -
Look at this VID and you understand...

Problem with Warthog Throttle
Funkyjazz replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
When looking in the device manager at the USB section, you can see the milli ampere used by a device: Control Panel >> Device manager >> Universal serial bus controllers >> *Right click on the device* >> section Energy. -
Problem with Warthog Throttle

How much mili amps does the throttle use? -
Well, i have DL-ed the guide but its hard for me to "learn" without the actual cockpit in front of me. I guess the hardest part will be the radio communication from what i have seen so far. For me the comms in FC 2.0 are hard to deal. I have set them with Macro's on my Logitech G110, but still then it distracts me. When i concentrate on my CCIP run i cant listen to the wingmen. My brain work as a single core CPU, not a dual:(

Well...i would love to but for my own protection (gap in my hand as it comes to PC related stuff incl. games and sims), i do not own a credit card... Right now FC 2.0 is good enough for me. Learning the system of a plane is "easy" as soon as you have the hang of all assigned buttons with their correct functions. Dodging sams and triplle A is another story. So i made a mission with a load of sams and tripple A and all i do is trying to get from A to B. So far i havent been able to reach my homeplate...:music_whistling:. I have learned this mission from an old FA-18 game. Bombing or attacking a target is easy...avoiding being detected by Anti Air or Fighters is the real deal. Anyways...i wait for the gold release of the A-10. Stupid from Simware to put a release date on their site.

Hi, I also fly with Flightsimulator 2004 PMDG 747-400. There is a very powerful software application on the market for Flightsimulator. Its called: FSUIPC. Its a API trough which a lot of functions within FS can be arranged. One of the best functions is the assignment of buttons, axis ect. I have tested it yesterday with my T&T Switch panel from VRinsight. Example: The standard assignment tool within FS9 its only possible to assign funtions too my two way buttons on my T&T panel: "ON" for lights on, but its not possible to assign the same button in the OFF position for lights OFF. With FSUIPC that is possible! I can use the switches on my T&T panel in two directions, or, i i am able to assign the switch twice: Pressed - Released. Looking at the A-10, is it possible to assign 2 funtions (ON and OFF) with 1 switch? If not, is it possible in the future to have a look at software that is able to do this?

Right...then i erase my joyful feeling and head back to FC 2.0 (which is also very nice!!)

Hi, Just watched at Simware.com. They have stated a release date of 15 March 2011. Is this correct?

Mmmm...sounds like a real challenge! Downloading at Steam at this very moment!

Hi, I have a hardcopy of FC 2.0 and i installed it on the "G" partition. Now i want to buy DCS BS trough Steam. When i install the game it will be installed on partition "H". Will those games find eachother? Second: When looking at YT vids it seems pretty hard to learn. Maybe even harder then the A-10. Im a jetflyer, and i want something new. Is the BS learning very(!) high?

Picture: http://www.simw.com/sfr/hardware/tact-toggle-switch-panel-tt-panel.html This afternoon i have bought the VRI T&T switch panel. I'm still flying with a Logitech 3D extreme, Saitek rudders and for the throttle i use the saitek throttle quadrant. The logitech and the saitek gave me 18 buttons to assign. With the VRI next to it i win 15 press buttons, 6 on/off switches and 11 metal on/off switches which makes it in total 50(!) buttons excluding the HAT from the logitech. Installation: Its truly plug and play. No drivers needed (windows 7 64 bit). In the device section its called "USB PAD". It has a USB 2.0 connector. Visual: The case is from metal and it stands in an angle. In the foot there are pre made drill holes so you can mount it with screws. The angle is not changeable. The 15 press buttons have a blue black light. I don't understand why only the 15 press buttons have black light but okay...a nice addition. Quality As said the case is made out of metal which makes it a solid device. The 15 press buttons could be better. When not pressed but laying your thumb on them you can move the buttons. The 6 on/off switches are made of good quality. They are a bit small but okay. The 11 metal switches are very solid. All switches work perfect and respond well. They deliver a bunch of pre made stickers. Use: I use the panel together with LO FC 2.0 and its great! Now i'm able to assign all important functions to the switches. Assignment in FC 2.0 is a piece of cake. It appears as the USB PAD. There was only one disappointment with the switches. They are 1 way switches... Example: i had a red on / off switch assigned for left engine startup = ON position. But i cant use the same switch in OFF position for left engine shut down. So yeah, i'm happy with it. But hey...whats the difference between a keystroke on the keyboard and this panel? Well...not much but it feels more "simmy" than a keyboard:D

Problem with Warthog Throttle
Funkyjazz replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I dont own a Hog. I am planning to buy one. And as all products i want a quality reasurance. This device is going to cost me about 350 euro's an for me that's a lot of money to spent on a PC device (i dont dare to call it a joystick). I shouldn't think about the fact that my throttle dies within a week. I have mailed TM with questions about this problem and im sure i wont receive an answer. They dont facilitate a regular product forum (which i really do not understand!) so this forum is all i have for a good impression. And a dead throttle is a huge problem! I want the HOG really badly but first TM needs to acknowledge and / or adress the dead throttle as being an incident or a problem. -
Windows 7 64 bit home edition

Well...finaly i have got it! First i truly want to appologize for my utterly stupidity! Im 20 years working with my PC's and this...men...how could i ever not see it! It must be my age... So far i installed Fc 2.0 with my user account and admin rights. However FC 2.0 does not make a desktop icon even if i says so. Nevermind... So i went into the explorer to the Bin\X86\Stable folder. Overhere i saw two exe'es: "launcher" and "simulator". When i clicked on the launcher i got the message: " cannot open.\Blackshark\Blackshark.lua : No such file or directory". So i didnt understand sh*t of it. After hours of trying...i opened my start menu >> All programs, scrolled to the Eagle dynamics, clicked it open, selected the shortcut and it starts!! So from there i made a shortcut to my desktop and it works....ppffff. Again, my excuses if i ranted...:( Thanks for all the help.

Well, I received FC 2.0 at 13:00 hours via mail. So i was happy cause i could leave behind the Fc1.0 starforce problems. I logged in with my user account. I installed Fc 2.0 with administrator rights. After the installation i installed the 1.2.1 patch. After that i wanted to startup FC 2.0. But...no desktop icon... So i looked in the installation folder and i couldnt find anything. I wasnt able to startup Fc 2.0. So i deinstalled Fc 2.0, logged in as admin and installed it again. this time i was able to start the game. But...i dont want to game when logged on as admin. So i went back to my user account and again i wasnt able to startup FC 2.0. All games i own are installed via my users account via admin rights and they all work even UBI's DRM games like Assassins Creed II. Do i really have to be logged in as admin to play FC 2.0? By the way, i allready lost two activations! I didnt make any changes to my Pc and i havent played the game decently. This is not good...not good at all!

Hi, Again i wiped my HD and did a full fresh install of windows 7 64 bit home edition. I installed all lastest drivers incl DIRECTX 9 Aug and updated Windows 7 completely via de update site. I logged in as Administrator and did as followed: 1) I installed Lock on 1.0 2) I started up Lock On 1.0 = no problems 3) I installed FC 1.0 4) I installed the FC 1.12B patch 5) I started FC 1.12B and answered NO for the reboot. 6) I installed the latest starforce driver that i downloaded from their site. 7) After the starforce upgrade starforce asks me to reboot and i did 8) I started up FC 1.12B and the old starforce screen appear asking me for a reboot... 9) i tried to reinstall the new starforce driver which says that the lastest version allready is installed... 10) I cant startup FC while i have two legal bought DVD's from Simware. The thing that keeps me wondering is: i was able to install it half a year ago. why doesn't it work anymore? Because of a new windows update? I dont know... Im comming back onto this (regardless of my upcomming FC2.0) because there will be users with windows 7 64 bit and only playing FC 1.12B. If they have to reinstall their system i dont hope they will encounter the same problems as i do now.
