Thanks!! Ive googled on everything but couldnt get te pics. To be honest, from what ive seen at the homepage of TM, the Warthog seems truly brutal. Prob. its going to be brutal to my wallet also but from what i can see oh..baby...come to papa. Im loosing my patients overhere:music_whistling:

Yeah, ive red about it. I think it will be a matter of growing accustomed to it. But what i also read is that is does not have moving parts inside. Still then, i use force to let the electronics know that i want to bank a direction. this force that i apply to the stick is a certain ammount of energy. This energy is translated into a elementary component (i do LOVE googles translation:D), which takes care of the acual banking. As far as i know, where energy is, there is a certain factor of wear and tear. Concerning the movement, as ive red, the actual F16 stick moves and X factor from the base. So lets wait for the (hopefully) good reviews. Has anybody seen pics of the upcomming TM Warthog?

UPDATE Hi, Ive been in the store and flew for 15 min with the X52 and X52 pro in a cessna FS9. I must admit, outside the centre they are sharp. But i couldnt get over the centre margin. Unfortunatly (or something like that), they didnt have the CH Fighterstick. I went to another store and they had a demo model of the TM Hotas Cougar. Well...this is the very best ive ever felt in my hands regarding build quality of a unit. But i read a lot on the internet about modding ect. Its not my thing. Since i have the Saitek Pro Flight steeringwheel, rudders and two extra throttle quadrants (FS9), i now use a throttle quadrant for the engines with 6 extra buttons on the quadrant, the Saitek rudder and the logitech. So far i can help myself. Ive red something about a new TM unit comming up in may? the replica of the WT A-10? Well, im gonna wait. First i want a good impression of the new Saitek X - 65F. Then i wait for the TM comming to the market. The thing are the reviews. Ive found one solid review of the TM Hotas Cougar. Toms hardware opened it up showing pictures from the inside. THAT is what i wanna see! I want to know the technics they use inside a unit. So i really hope someone is going to openup the Saitek X-65F for a GOOD decent review. Meanwhile i S&D in the magnificent game: LOMAC!! RULES!

Hi, I just came back from a shop and tested the demo models of the X52 and the X52 pro. Read the story on the saitek forum: http://www.saitekforum.com/showthread.php?t=18457 Hopefully it will prevent disappointments comming home 100 to 160 euro lighter.... Grtz Funk

You're hardcore Brit radar dude! Thanks for the info. Its gonna help me a lot.

Well, i just finished the training mission 2 with the avenger canon and unguided rockets 3 times without being hit. I just had to open up my joystick again and sprayed loads of contact spray into the pots. It doenst spike anymore. That was good for the accuracy and...i was patient. Settled up at 10, ingressed with a 180 roll, aimed and allmost every shot with the unguided missiles hit their target. Like a Glove... Now its time to move up to the unguided bombs. Dont know about you but...the A-10...so far its my favorate.
-
Thats a good point!! You are right indeed that im willing to take the shot even if im under the minimum alt. I must learn to be patient. Thats a true goodie what your saying. Its allmost worth a Sticky for newbies. Its strange that i didn't think of that. Probably its the heat of the fight which causes a certain amount of stress...and im just sitting safely behind a screen. Makes you think about real pilots:cry:. Okay...back to school: lesson 1: be patient or it will kill you. Thanks!

Check, i just tried a higher altitude. Everytime i get to close and get shot. Why? Because i loose precious time..why? cause my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro has spikes in the pots. I thought i fixed it with contact spray but no, 1 mm or less movement of the stick rocks the plane up and down like a rollercoaster. So...tomorrow its going to be the big day: Saitek X52 Pro...you'll hear from me soon lads. My god, i love this game:thumbup:

Mmm...i thougt a A-10 was a low fly attack plane. I mean common this big mama (which i love) climbs like my grandmother in a wheelchair. What i always see in movies is they come in low, make a pass, climb making a 180 during the climb ready for another pass. If i have to climb to 20 with that...that big fat lady my beard grows and the collum has set off to Afrika. What is the max range of rockets...6 miles? When i come in at 4000 with a a speed of 200, throttle dead, aiming, aiming wrong, rudder left, rudder right, steer high, low: Rockets off...SH.t, break..break!! "Boom"..."fire enige left, fir engine right". EEEEejecting....sounds allmost like my girl when she...whatever. Anyways...im going to practice again. In the second training mission the A-10 is only loaded with rockets and cannons. Mission 5 (i believe is with the mavs..but...as ive said before: babysteps. Btw: can you alter the load of the plane during the training missions? hunt them down guys!

I just decided to buy a X52 pro tomorrow. When i read this i start to shiver again. Is this only with Windows 7? (still using XP for the next 10 years) or is it the faulty Saitek software or just bad hardware...

It has been a long time ago since i've bought this game and i accidently saw that LOMAC also supported TIR. Recently iv'e bought FC and whohaa...this is a kickass game!! Tomorrow im gonna buy the X52 Pro and hell will break lose (ik hope...or not):music_whistling: But..right now im only playing the training missions with the A10 (baby steps!). The second missions were you need to destroy to collums with the Canon and the rockets. It took me a long time to see why i got shot al the time: i just got to close! So first i'll have to take out the Tripple A, sams ect before taking out the trucks which are harmless. In the training mission i know that the AAA is located at both ends of the collum. But if you do not have this information. How do you get the information. I tried a full speed 100 FT pass, even then they were able to hit me. From a distance its to difficult to see ("no labels" on). I dont wanna cheat by turning on the labels. So how are you doing that? Are their defense systems always on the edge of collums or groups?
-
Thanks for the attention! Ive managed to create a good profile for LOMAC. So the TIR isnt any problem anymore. Now i need to learn how to dodge Tripple A:music_whistling: Good hunt!

Thanks for the feedback! While i have got the complete Saitek Pro flight steering wheel including the rudder pedals and two extra throttle quadrants to fly the PMDG 747 in FS9, i set up my own "Hotas". Yeah...its truly amateur work but so far so good... Ive sprayed some cleaning lubrcant into the pots of the logitech and it works fine again. In the Netherlands near Schiphol is the Aviation Megastore. I called them and i can test both X52 and X52 pro joysticks. Ik will let you know what its going to be...or not to be. Grtz. Funk

I know, this is a boring question. I would appreciate if i could get an answer to my questions. Right now im using a Logitech Sidewinder Extreme Pro 3D. Its about 5 years old and im looking for a good replacement. There is a difference between flying FS9/FSX or a combat sim concerning the wearing of a joystick. A friend has the same Logitech and only flies FS9. After 4 years its still brandnew... I dont want to spent 350 euros for the new saitek X-65F. Allthough it looks great and the stick moves due to pressure = no moving parts = no wear down (hopefully), its to expensive. Im thinking about a X52 or the X52 pro. Ive searched a lot on internet but there are still questions unanswered. - I read alot about the deadzone problem on the X52. This link explains how to fix it but im not going to fumble around with a new product. Does the X52 pro also has the same deadzone problem? http://www.mektek.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=139226 - Many complaints are about the strength of the spring regarding the X52. As ive red, the X52 pro has a tighter spring. Is this really a problem ( a loose spring) or is that related to a persons favor? - And last but not least: the profiles for LOMAC. Are there good X52 profiles that make the name "HOTAS" worthy? Thanks in advance to read and hopefully answer my "boring" questions. Grtz.

Yeah, ive red the topic. By the way: its great that 2.0 comes!! Hopefully they keep updating LOMAC!

Jippiekayee Ive bought FC and yes...my trackir is now also working with zoom function:thumbup:. Allthough its a pitty they didnt include full track ir support: head low/high and left/right (so you can look down over the cockpit side). But yeah, this is making the game a lot easier and much more fun. Thanks for all support!

Noooooo....youre kidding me:cry:. Well...than thats it! Thanks for the advice. I allready found a gold copy on boll.com (dutch webstore). Im going to order it!! Thanks!!!!

I give up... I just dont understand...im working with pc's for 15 years. I game my whole life. I do understand how software works ect. But this...nah... Ive tried everything: software 4.1037 and 5.0 B. I both reinstalled them, with the scanning of old inf files. Ive tried profiles, new profiles, different axes setups nothing works. As far i can conclude its lomac not able to recognize more axes tha the pitch and yaw... Ive also reinstalled lomac with the default installation: 1.01. Doesnt matter. Ive installed lomac on my C (windows XP) partition, doesnt matter... So yeah...im out of gas. If anybody has a briljant idea please let me know, cause this BUGS me. I just cant stand it that im not able to solve this! There is another thing im going to try, you'll hear that later on.
-
I've did it exactly as you told me, but still...it only detects two axis. The strange thing is the properties of the lomac profile in the software 4.1037. As the software says it only recognizes the axis yaw and pitch and those are the axis that work. So it the problem that ive updated the game lib. in the software?

Still no go... Ive got a fresh install of win xp and lomac but still no go. Ok here we go: - XP windows SP3 with all updates till this morning - Netframework 3.5 with updates - Direct X Aug 2009 - Track IR 4.0 Pro with 5.0 B software (updated the game lib.) - Lomac install 1.01. After restart system, update 1.02 (fresh dl from gamershell) MB: Asus P5B CPU: E6600 running on 3,24 on air = stable! MEM: 2x2GB Corsair XMS2 GPU: XFX 9800 GTX+ 512 MB PSU: CM 750 silent SB: Creative XFI Gamer Track IR: Track Ir 4 Pro (with Track Clip pro). Still i only have the yaw and the pitch controls in lomac. It simply doenst use other axes. Even if i delete the ini from the input folder it only recognizes the yaw and the pitch. To be certain i installed FS9. With FS9 i can use all axes so its not defect hardware. does somebody has a clue? Im running out of options here...

Thanks Golfsierra2! Later on this evening i have operation "Dinner Out" with my sister. After that i will test your files. Hopefully they work. By the way: Ive also tried the 5.0 Final B software = same result as the 4.1037. 1 more thing: Currently im playing with my Logitech extreme 3D Pro. This stick is towards its end. For a good replacement im thinking of the Saitek X52. Somebody has good experience with the X52? UPDATE: Ive just tested the files and the problem stays...I cant figure out the problem. So my next step will be to do a fresh install of windows XP. Hopefully that will help. You'll hear it tomorrow)

Hello, Im using a track IR 4.0 pro with the software 4.1037. What i did: Clean install Lock On version 1.01 (european) Patch 1.02 Deleted trackir files in config and input. Still i can only pan left and right. If i click on the properties of the Lock on profile i can see that it only supports those two axes. The other axes are greyed out. Can somebody confirm because ive reed that people are able to zoom in and out...
