Not what I meant, just directing you to the photo. No hidden meaning intended

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Cool, then it's open for discussion! :D

I can't imagine much use in a mud mover though, I understand that it's only for A2A, the A-10C doesn't even carry the Aim-9X.

JHMCS is a sensor like any other. I pilot can look anywhere and make it a point of interest. He can look at a road and have the RADAR, TGP, etc move there. It is not used operationally in the A-10 AFAIK, still in testing. Additionally, as you can see in the photos/video thread, to some people it is very important that it is noted that it has a different acronym/abbreviation for it.

I guess this is to be called HMIT

No, it works like any other SOI, except it is attached to your head. The real question is though, will we be getting it in DCS?

If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

I imagine HMCS for pilots is revolution like TrackIR for us, since you get the data and mark targets anywhere you look, not just through the hud or TGP.

Highly unlikely we'll see it for the A-10C, it would likely only come if ED ever decided to release an A-10C 2 with based on a newer avionics suite.

Remember the A-10C we have at the moment is suite 3 and current real world aircraft are on suite 7, and JHMCS would probably be added to operational aircraft as part of a higher avionics suite.

As to if we'll see it in another aircraft, it'll depend on what aircraft it is and what version of that aircrafts avionics is used.

I am very wrong! just finished reading an article on the "razorbacks" A-10C

and they can indeed employ the Aim-9X!

Also got me thinking about bomb fuzing, airburst, delay etc.

I don't believe it's implemented is it?

bomb fusing and AIM-9X isn't modeled. (Airburst fusing would be pointless since frag isn't modeled either.)

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
