I posted about this in the Input/Output forum, but as it is not a hardware issue, I thought I'd post here.

Even though the press is recognised and assigned correctly in Controls Setup, my throttle button JOY_BTN15 (back of the left throttle) just doesn't do anything in any module in DCS no matter what I bind it to.

It works perfectly in both the Windows Joystick Control Panel and all other games.

Could there be a conflict somewhere, or is this a DCS issue?

Does this button work in DCS for anyone here?

I use it for cage/uncage in the F/A-18C as well as the default AP quick disconnect in the A-10C.

In FC3 modules it is typically my sensor on/off for RADAR or TV..no issues in any.

Have you done the usual firmware/driver update checks?

Sure we are talking about the same button? This is the red button on the back of the left throttle. It is not the default AP disconnect on the A-10C as far as I remember. You're not talking about the stick pinky button are you?

Pretty sure we are. Just to eliminate confusion, I'm talking about the button labeled "Toggle Autopilot" on this diagram

Sorry, yes, that's the one! It does nothing in DCS for me (and others), despite being recognised in Controls Setup and working fine in every other game.

I may have to raise a support ticket on this.

So back to:

Have you done the usual stuff like check for firmware and/or driver updates? The TM stuff has had a few changes made over the course of Win 10's life. Probably not the issue, but worth eliminating as a possibility before you start getting weird with renaming directories.

If you've done all of the obvious stuff, try renaming c:/users/username/Saved Games/dcs.openbeta. Don't delete it, just rename the directory.

This will remove all your option settings, all the video settings, all the precached shaders etc., as well as all your control bindings, and allow the game to rebuild these from scratch. Does the button work now?

Sorted! It occurred to me that I had this button bound to VR Zoom in the UI Layer, so when I was in 2D, the button was doing nothing if bound to something else! I changed that binding, and now everything is good.

Thanks for all your helpful suggestions.
