amazingme Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 omg.. So quite a lot. (long range missiles, two engines, ... ... only difference is RU/EN, and even P-51 and spitfire are both EN...) You also have 2 hands, 2 feet, 2 eyes.. but you'll never run faster than Usain Bolt.. catch my drift? Seaeagle Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Also, I spoke to Su-27 pilot at an airshow, when I approached him he was just finishing explaining landing procedure, I remember him saying that the plane is equipped with the system similar to ABS in a car. In the meantime I discovered that 27 is equipped with anti-skid wheel braking control system that detects wheel rotation speed and dampens the braking pressure as required. You already discovered that in the first paragraph - ABS(Anti-lock Breaking System) and anti-skid are two different terms for the same thing, which works as you described. The MiG-29 has it too.

mvsgas Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 AFAIK, the only aircraft in DCS with Anti-skid modeled is the A-10C. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
Seaeagle Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 MiG-29 might has it, but not in DCS with the current SFM The MiG-29 does have it, but no it isn't simulated in the game.
Rabb Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 I really don't see why ED doesn't add an axis assignment for the brakes on the Su-27. Other aircraft have it: L-39, MiG-15, MiG-21. This would solve all breaking problems. Wrong, it would not. To clarify, before 1.5.5 if you were keeping brake key pressed continuously while you were traveling at 35 kmh, for example, in a Su-27, you would have popped your tires. Now, that threshold is significantly raised, but you end up with tires blowing on take-offs at just 350 kmh. So, it's not about axis, it's about simulation.
