Echo179 Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Version 1.2.16 is causing a crash every time I launch a mission. I've already repaired via the updater and restarted my system. I'm in the process of downloading the newest files for a clean install, but I'd really rather not if it isn't necessary. Thanks.

Echo179 Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 Sorry, I thought I had uploaded the logs. I didn't do it right though. I just followed the directions on your sig, so here they are.Logs.zip
irregularr Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I too have a similar problem. I have the same symptoms and as I looked through my logs, I found the same issue: 00006.415 ERROR DXGUI_EDGE_RENDER: Cannot load texture '' The full log is attached. The error is near the bottom few lines.dcs.txt
Sabre-TLA Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) This thread might help. You can open the .crash log with Notepad ++. If it shows anything related to the graphics rendering check your GPU temps and increase your cooling. That's worked for some folks. irregularr Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 That helped! So it seems like its an access violation for me. The problem is I've tried disabling UAC and I do run DCS world as an administrator. What else can I try? Crash log is below. # -------------- 20150503-195259 -------------- # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at A6EE01D5 00:00000000 00000000 00000000 0000:00000000 A6EE01D5 116EE150 0000:00000000 QueryOglResource()+26785 A6F08F21 116EE1E0 0000:00000000 QueryOglResource()+4F4D1 A6F08DE4 116EE300 0000:00000000 QueryOglResource()+4F394 A6E09BBF 116EE350 0000:00000000 A6D87F62 116EE440 0000:00000000 A6F01B5E 116EE490 0000:00000000 QueryOglResource()+4810E A6F0161E 116EE520 0000:00000000 QueryOglResource()+47BCE A6EAB3FC 116EEAA0 0000:00000000 A6EAD9C9 116EEAD0 0000:00000000 A6E24B1A 116EF8A0 0000:00000000 A6E207ED 116EF8D0 0000:00000000 A6E415ED 116EF900 0000:00000000 A70CC957 116EF930 0000:00000000 QueryOglResource()+212F07 A70CCBA2 116EF960 0000:00000000 QueryOglResource()+213152 C7FB13D2 116EF990 0000:00000000 BaseThreadInitThunk()+22 CAB15444 116EF9E0 0000:00000000 RtlUserThreadStart()+34
Sabre-TLA Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Looks like that proc call may be related to nvd3dum.dll according to this thread. I would check your video drivers and ensure you are running the latest copies. Also check if you are running 3d and try running it without 3d to see if it works. There may be more evidence if you check the Windows Event Viewer at the time of the crash. It might report other additional information related to the problem. irregularr Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Yes you're correct. I looked at event viewer: dcs.exe 1.2.16.38741 5523e774 nvd3dumx.dll 9.18.13.5012 55258e7a c0000005 00000000008a01d5 1094 01d085dabd022c28 C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\dcs.exe C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\nvd3dumx.dll I'll try some graphics tweaks and see what I can do.
irregularr Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Okay. I've tried a few things, but I'm firing blind now. In Nvida control panel, I've been messing with a few items; none of which have worked yet. I have 2 GeForce GT 750Ms. Any suggestions? I tried working with just one of them already. Wasn't able to see any openGL options like the thread you gave me suggested.
Sabre-TLA Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 How are your temps? I've seen alot of crashes due to GPUs overheating. Try increasing your fan speeds or cooling in your system and see if that makes it more stable. MapleFlagMissions - Read Our Blog for Updates
irregularr Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Temps seem okay. I also nearly bricked my computer updating my system BIOS. That didn't help either. Not sure its the temp since it fails while loading anything at that same exact part.
irregularr Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Well. I found a solution. I tried backdating my graphics drivers a bit and it worked. What is strange is that they work intermittently. I had to pick a few before it worked just right. Thanks for all the help!
orl_cz Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Increasing fan speed GPU 100 % helped , but the temperature was 44 ° C without increasing my PC: intel core i5-11600K, Radeon RX580 8GB, DDR4 32GB 3200MHz, SSD Sata-III for DCS My starting sim site
