[REPORTED] cant fire weapons in P51, getting frustrated

So I just bought the P51 several hours ago. I already know how strt it, etc. from the TF51. Now the thing is that there is no key for firing weapons (guns ,rockets, bombs). Whenever i press the shoot button on joystick, nothing happens, not even the button the joytick ingame gets pushed. I didnt find anything related to canons or rockets in the P51 SIM settings, searched for the canon and also looked through every single setting, still couldnt find it. There are two or three weapon settings in P51 SIMPLE, but those dont work when i am flying. Pls help me, i am realy getting frustrated here! Also i have enabled the guns as well.

Did you look in the "Stick" section under control settings for P-51D Sim? There you will find "Gun fire" and "Weapons release". Map "Gun fire" to the button you want to use on your joystick. One easy mistake to make is to map controls for the game mode and then enter sim mode to play or vice versa.

Then there is are selector switches for bombs and/or rockets. Look in the "Front switch box" (or similar wording) section under control settings to find them. The button you mapped to "Weapons release" will then fire rockets or drop bombs depending on these switches.

there is no such thing as a stick section unter ''P-51D Sim''...

You mapped it to what you want or looked at the default? Dont take this the wrong way, but your not still jumping into the TF-51 by accident are you?

Did you switch On "weapon system" (on "guns.camera and sight" possition)?

edit - so, so beaten to the draw...

still, just in case - don't look in the ME with the weapons selection, go to the options section (cog at the top of the splash screen) - you can also get to the settings by hitting esc during play & then selecting adjust controls...

Username suggests he is and now that you mention it derelor, I remember seeing something about it in the Steam DCS forum as well about the German version.

did you try copying or importing your controls from somewhere else, or did you set them up manually?

i didnt import them, i just had it default

Will switch to German language and try to replicate.

wth...there is no german version for stick here either, joystick is also being called joystick in german...

MAybe it will appear if i set the game to english, but I dont know how to do that, steam did that automatically.. :(

PS: I looked thourgh every option, but still didnt find it that way...

English version has two options more in the list...

PS: okay, so i managed to se t it to english in steam options, i hope works now
