gazmonalpha Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Hi, Originally i played DCS through steam, i then downloaded the standalone version and added my steam purchased modules to standalone version, i have also purchased some more standalone modules and dont use steam but its still installed. I am recieving module errors when i start dcs games both 1.5 and 2,0 , it says that i have modified `dll ` files, i have attached a photo The error message box has the `key` symbol so im thinking is this a protection or activation problem conflict somewhere maybe?? if i delete the module in question i can get the game to run?? My steam account is a different email address to the one i used in the standalone version purchases can anyone advise please System Specs, Core i7 950 OC 4.2Ghz, 1.5TB Hdd, MSI GTX 980 Ti, 24GB Ram, WIN 10 64 Bit, 1000w PSU ,Trackir5, Thrustmaster Warthog:)
razo+r Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Delete it and try to install it via module manager
gazmonalpha Posted February 14, 2016 Author Posted February 14, 2016 (edited) I have installed all the modules i have via the `module manager`? DCS wiki shows a similar message error box that is to do with `starforce` any thoughts Edited February 14, 2016 by gazmonalpha System Specs, Core i7 950 OC 4.2Ghz, 1.5TB Hdd, MSI GTX 980 Ti, 24GB Ram, WIN 10 64 Bit, 1000w PSU ,Trackir5, Thrustmaster Warthog:)
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 15, 2016 ED Team Posted February 15, 2016 which antivirus are you using? and have you tried a repair of dcs Forum rules - DCS Crashing? gazmonalpha Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) i checked and only using windows defender as far as i can see dont have any other installed, this seems a protection / authorization conflict error the error box has the `key` icon which is the same as the protect application tryed repair works for a while then these errors return, different `dll` error though, asyncnet.dll, f15c.dll etc, it seems deep routed , like within my registry etc?? starforce?? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 15, 2016 ED Team Posted February 15, 2016 Something must be interfering with your install, you could try deleting the registry entry for that particular module but you will loose 1 activation that way ( which is not a big deal ) and then reactivate, http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Problem_with_Activation have you changed anything on your pc other that the gpu ? But there all bound to gazmonalpha when I enter there serial numbers is this maybe the conflict here, how can i bind everything to standalone as i dont use steam version tbh now What about 2.0? I added NTTR and then just used module manager to add my others, had same issues here Edited February 15, 2016 by gazmonalpha System Specs, Core i7 950 OC 4.2Ghz, 1.5TB Hdd, MSI GTX 980 Ti, 24GB Ram, WIN 10 64 Bit, 1000w PSU ,Trackir5, Thrustmaster Warthog:)
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 15, 2016 ED Team Posted February 15, 2016 yes you should have deactivated your modules before upgrading your ram, use the registry fixes and reactivate the modules, it should fix it. as long as all of your modules are on the same login for the game it is fine. so you have one account here correct https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/order/ Forum rules - DCS Crashing? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 15, 2016 ED Team Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) dont worry about the open alpha it should all be on the same registry for the modules you may have to manually edit the registry for the campaigns using regedit and just delete the keys for the campaign and reactivate. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Eagle Dynamics\ is the location for the keys if you are not comfortable editing them manually I will see if I can get the reg added to the fix page Edited February 15, 2016 by BIGNEWY Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
