WildBillKelsoe Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 I'm surprised ED focused more on model scaling aircrafts and not ground vehicles. Its difficult since day 1 to kill anything with gun unless it is standing against a clear background. even with this, you can't tell heads from tails. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
AnthonyD5189 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 I agree. I also feel like FLIR doesn't have things show up any better than the regular mode.

As you can tell by my post count I'm new to the forums. Built my PC about a month ago and have only been on DCS for 2 weeks or so. Edit: so that helped a little bit. It's still next to impossible to spot infantry without knowing exactly where they are but I guess that's just how it is. Edited February 15, 2016 by AnthonyD5189
Gliptal Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 ED clearly has been giving zero shits about AG lately.

Mike5560 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Ground vehicle scaling is pretty apparent to me; only thing is inside of a few miles distance there's little to no noticeable effect. Place a cluster of vehicles somewhere, fly over them, switch to F2 view and watch them as you fly away.
RICARDO Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Hello, I agree with you guys, flying the warthog is a bit complicated as soon as you are going for Air to ground... i CAN'T see any units!!! Rocks on black hot are poping out more than abrahams. I tried different setting of contrast and brigthness on my mfcd but i couldn't find the solution. That problem is not as strong with the 25T, and can be solved with contrast and brightness settings with the kamov.
Vitormouraa Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 understand this is for ground units only? spotting improvement? but even the spotting system has a few problems depending on the angle that you are seeing, sometimes you see the target and sometimes you don't, air targets and ground targets.
