unknown Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 On the carrier take off instant action Persian gulf mission, flying to waypoint 1 i noticed the marker at the top seems to fluctuate all the way to the left of the HUD and then back again. I didn't tried this mission but could it be possible that your course to that waypoint was 000? I coincidentally noticed this behaviour this morning. I had placed the Hornet on a runway, was flying and shooting down 2 planes. After that i wanted to return to my starting airfield, pushed the WPT - 0 on my left DDI(HSI displaying) and saw that my waypoint marker was jumping back and forth as i passed my 000 heading mark. I had no waypoints set in the ME, just used the WPT - 0 to return to my starting airfield. If you alter your course for a while so that the waypoint marker is not sitting on the 000 heading anymore everything is fine again. unknown Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Bump. Track showing the jumping marker first for a waypoint at around 000 course jumping and than for a S3 tanker TACAN signal. Pizzicato Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 HUD waypoint caret at 000 It seems as though there's an issue if the bearing to your next waypoint is exactly 000. In this situation, the waypoint caret on the heading strip of the HUD vanishes. If you steer slightly left or right so that the bearing to the waypoint is 359 or 001, it comes back. I saw this behaviour on the Persian Gulf map in a variety of self-made missions on 2.5.2.20143 i7-7700K @ 4.9Ghz | 16Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | MSI Z270 Gaming M7 | MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X | Win 10 Home | Thrustmaster Warthog | MFG Crosswind pedals | Oculus Rift S
