Hello.

I think something is wrong with agm-88.

After a successful target lock and launch, if the target turns off the radar, then the rocket flies by. Shouldn't rocket fly to the last known destination of enemy radar?

Like the LD-10 of the JF-17, for example.

Same, but ld-10 on jf-17:

P.S. By the way something is wrong with the S-300, too. Restarted the mission 5 times before c-300 decided to launch a rocket at me, when I was in range.

The missile doesn't know the radar's position in SP and TOO modes. These are DA (direct attack) modes that don't support LOAL (lock on after launch) and don't use any sort of target coordinates. All the missile has to go on is the radar signal source. Turn that off, it won't be able to make any more corrections mid-flight, because there's nothing to correct towards anymore.

In PB mode, where you launch at a known target position, the missile can be set to lock to a particular radar signal after launch and also the target's coordinates are known, so if the signal is never found or is lost, the missile will continue to the predetermined coordinates.

The Hornet doesn't have equipment that's able to determine a radar's coordinates based on its signal, like the F-16CJ/CM with the HTS pod, so the only way for the HARM to guide to a specific point in space is if you set that as the target point and use PB mode (not yet implemented).

The JF-17 doesn't have such equipment either, as far as I know. The ASPJ pod isn't accurate when there is an elevation difference, since it displays the slant range to the signal source, so it can't be used like the HTS pod. So, unless I'm missing something, the LD-10 should only be able to hit the radar if there is a target point set up and the missile is launched in PB (or whatever the equivalent is named, I don't recall now). If the LD-10 continues to guide to a radar that's turned off and its coordinates weren't set up as a target point, it's not behaving correctly.

Of course, I might be missing something, but based on what I know about how ARMs work, the above is correct. If you want to guide to a target, you need its coordinates, if not, you have to rely on the radar source emitting, in order for the missile to have something to correct towards.
